viper4android vs audiofx vs others

Hi!
I have a question - which one do you prefer? I'm currently using AudioFX, but I know there are different options and maybe some are better. With AudioFX, I'm using pretty stock parameters (I guess there are some libs included which should make sound better, and the whole app is only to bump some settings). What about alternatives? Maybe viper4android offers better sound and is much better option than AudioFX, or there are even better ones.

ExtremeBeats + Viper4Android is the best solution IMO especially since the workaround to run V4A in enforcing mode.

I can't find this workaround for V4A to run in enforcing mode and you meant to flash both of them (extremebeats and V4A)?

Yep you can use both. That's what I do and it's explained/recommended on the thread of ExtremeBeats.

And one quick question, will the effect be noticeable in spotify because I'm using that app mainly?

Yes it should. I don't use it but several users of Spotify have a working V4A.

Which version of extremeBeats do you suggest? Does flashing order make any difference (if I flash extremebeats first and then v4a or v4a first and then extremebeats)?

If you look at the source code from Java part, you will find some are similar with Viper4Android, but this is not true.
Viper4Android only open source it's interface, their core drivers source code have never been released.

If you copy/paste the content of the audio effects conf without deleting anything to the existing one in your system, then it should be perfectly compatible with any mod. But, you have to delete AudioFX, since only one DSP at time should be used, or else you could have distortions or the DSP Manager/AudioFX totally not working or crashing

It may work well with other audio engines, because this effect doesn't replace[bassboost][equalizer][virtualizer] anymore
You don't need to replace audio_effects.conf actually, you can manually add jamedsp effect UUID item in to your exist audio_effects.conf. My current provided .conf in 7z only contain JamesDSP, you could just add the item related to JamesDSP into your current .conf

It's possible add this like a magisk module?

Working great on my Xperia Z5 / lineageOS 14.1 (I've had to edit my audio_effects.conf)
It would be even greater if the app could remain as a background process without the persistent notification.

Thanks for testing and got great result!
Notification I made is because some devices like Huawei Mate which may not handle background service correctly.
However, I could do more detection on app install location, so far I know only put apk into /system/priv-app/ could prevent killing by system, otherwise notification is another killing-proof method will apply to app.
But copy to system partition require libjamesDSPImpulseToolbox.so(Convolver dependency for load impulse file into memory) also in system partition, which should put in /system/lib

You mean that if I move your app to priv-app and disable persistent notification on my Sony device, it may work ?

Yes, possibly works, but notification icon display will not disappear until I change code.

Syntax error while trying to install apk on 4.4.2. What info can i provide you to help me fix it?

Sometimes the speaker config play for headset

I set min api to Lollipop, so apk installer can't install.

This bug usually appeared after Bluetooth headset connected.

I think this is device depends bug, because I have this issue very long time ago with a device use relative buggy rom.

Turning on Convolver instantly crashes the app and keeps it on a crash loop and I can't open it after a reboot so I have to go into Titanium Backup and uninstall it from there then reflash it for it to be usable again. VS986 LG G4 5.1 Lollipop.
Other than that, everything works fine and I enabled everything I could and kept the defaults and my gosh does it sound amazing. Way better than the default sound profile before installing this.

Love it man using the addon from the ainur team that bass boost is a god send cant wait to see more.

Just found this on the Viper thread. Is this an alternative to V4A?

instaled this on my galaxy tab s 10.5 sm t805, combined with viper, sound is great, only analog still have bugs maybe, but no problem just dont use analog feature, thanks for this great sound mod

Ok! I will need to tweak my daily driver profiles because they all use paid irs and most people won't have those. If you have them I can send you the undoctored versions

You download viper 2.5.0.5 and Dolby from magisk(cuz viper won't work without Dolby, idk why), then you unpack this zip to the internal storage, open viper, swipe from left to the right, click load effect profile, turn off then turn on "master power" on headset list and enjoy

There's about 50 different DDC files included for these earbuds. Which one(s) are the best to try?

i am using this with arise sound systems on the galaxy s6 edge plus and mind is blown if you set it up correctly it will sound even better than the s8. if you need help you can pm me.

I found a new solution. Install viper (on magisk 16.0, cuz won't work on further versions) and then audio modification library. Then just apply the profile and open equaliser (idk why but equaliser won't apply without opening it)

not bad once i turned the output gain down abit im using V1 the first v1 with Soundalive 4k edition, dynamic system unknown 2 at 14%, base at pure 100hz at 8db, clarity hifi 3.5db masyer gain -3.0db

Just want to say a big thanks for the vdc, I really like the v1 but can't vote for the v1 on poll got the "test" word
v3 is clearer but I think it is lacking treble, base is good tho

I checked DDCs using FLC8s on silver cabel - the most natural sounding setting is V1 (as mentiond above). Would reccomend to change Master Gate (Limiter) -> Output Gain to ~ -6/-5 instaed of -20. With the rest I just started experimenting.

Hey there! I'm in an international OP7 Pro. Absolutely loving it!
Is there any way for someone to sort out a Dolby Atmos apk that works with this phone? One that lets you set a custom EQ and more profiles, just like the one from the razer phone series. I tried a few APKs I found, but none open
I know this phone has atmos, but it's missing half the customisation options.
I would prefer a not rooted solution as I like my android pay and DRM, but I went back to oneplus because I can root without burning my warranty. I know there are magisk dolby modules, I just want to see if this is possible first

That's the best apk I've seen so far, it only partially works (like the bass boost button does nothing) but it was what I was after so I didn't have to go through settings each time to tune my eq! No double processing either!

Call Recording on OOS 10

Hi, someone has find a good solution (as the previous one in oos9 and earlier) to obtain a functional call reconrding in OOS10?
I need it for work.
Due to the previous module (enable oos call recording) crash in OOS 10, I try anoter module/app (skyvalex) but i can't find a configuration that works for me.
Any functional solution (also with root)?

I have that in my GravityBox Xposed module. The option basically enables call recording in stock Phone app.
But not sure if it's a good solution when you are looking only for this function.

In oos 10? Because this module that use hidden recorder in oos, i know that doesn't work on oos 10 but only in oos9 and the previous ones.

Call recording can be enabled with an apk called joneplus and follow the instructions given by the apk itself to modify by adb or root.

XxxNoLimits enables native call recording. But probably an overkill solution to achieve just that. But a solution nevertheless.

OOS native call recording enabler V8.0 is perfectly working with OB3 and Magisk 20.1

Which app are you using as playback as when I select a recording in the notification, it doesn't open any app.

I've found skvalex to be amazing. Especially with Google drive support

I was using but then it's only a trial & then it's chargeable.
Anyone advise which app opens when you click on recording notification as mine does nothing.

I have paid for skvalex and it's default settings are awesome for me. It records but and speaker all of it. I use mixplrer file thingy to see and play my recordings on my phone and Google drive to play those uploaded

Thing is, the magisk module works, when you finish the call a notification is available in drop down, now usually when you click these it would open an app, but this does nothing, the recordings are there as I checked but I can't assign an app default to open as there are no options to do so, anyone else can advise

Which module? The one to enable oos or skvalex? Recordings for oos are in the recorder app and swipe left. Skvalex has it's own app. I use that one with the Google dialer.

Module in this thread bud, not skyvalex.
There is no app, that's my point, it adds call recording to call settings, it works as I can see the recordings in the folder location, call recording is on every call & I can pause it, but when you click on the notification after call ended & it advises call recording done, it doesn't open any app, also there is no app specifically for call recording.
So which app are you using please.

There is an app. It comes in oos. It is called recorder and it is in your list of apps. It is green with a microphone. My previous post described how to use it. It's a great feature. That is the one that works with the oos recording module.
Skvalex, the one being discussed prior to your reply, is also a module. It has its own player.

Do you have a screenshot as there is no op recorder app on my handset & it's running stock 10.0.5.
Only app I recall that resembles that is when you install skyvalex & that went when I uninstalled.

Nope that's not installed on my rom, I recall the icon being there before, but I wonder if op removed it as I haven't or did skyvalex affect when I trialled it.

Scrap that found the APK & now clicking notification opens the app & call recordings list.
