Easily use your FlashLight with just a shake of your phone. Now you can have an easy access to a useful utility of your device!
New on this version!
The App detect when is in a pocket so you dont need to bother when you go for a run! It also has a sensibility configuration to adjust it to the user strength and preference.
Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kalantos.shakelight
After the android 8, google forces to show a notification for foreground services, but don't worry the notification can be hidden.
Steps:
Disable app notification (https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/stop-annoying-notifications-android/).
Disable foreground service notification (https://9to5google.com/2017/10/26/h...eo-using-battery-notification-android-basics/).

will try, thanks

I used to have a motorola X pure with this feature, but now is dead and I owned a xiami. One of the things I miss the most is the shaking gestures .
I download this app and works just the same as the one of motorola. The notification is quite anoying but after the steps you put it never show up again. Great Job

New version 1.2.2!
Proximity sensor, for avoiding mistaken shakes while walking.
Intensity of the shake configurable by user.

New version 1.2.3!
Improvements to sensibility configuration.
Shake gesture is now supported in ladscape mode.

If you have features you think that would help thus app growing tell me and I will work on them

We are about to launch a new version we need some people to join our test community if you want to help us send a mail to [email protected]

Wanna join the testing community! Really like the app!
I have some suggestions I sent you by email!
But I love the app, works perfect!

double shake option would also be great. Harder to trigger by mistake and easier when intended. Works good also on 10.

Should work on ALL roms
** ROOT IS REQUIRED **
This is a simple application that allows you to use the menu key to unlock the phone from the lockscreen rather than sliding the tab.
Simply run the app, enable the option, and then press menu to unlock the phone when you're on the lockscreen.
Tested on the Nexus One and the Droid.
I mainly wrote this app for people who aren't running CyanogenMod (as that has my trackball unlock already incorporated). If you want to support me, scan the QR code and buy it from the market, but otherwise simply download the attached APK. I'm releasing it for free on XDA because this is my 'home' community and I'm loyal to my roots. (Please don't mirror the APK anywhere else)
Thanks bud, I was waiting for this. You've been a great help to the community. Keep it up!
Love it. Great work.
love it, goes hand in hand with trackball awake, makes screen awakening much faster and smoother process thanx.
Thanks persiansown, cool app!

Idk
Cool man, could you please add one more function to your app?!
Really hate the vibration on sliding to unlock/answer phonecalls.
Would be good to remove this haptic feedback or give option to turn it off.
When you want to unlock your phone or answer phonecalls most probably you are watching the screen, so this haptic feedback seems pointless, on the contrary it is annoying and kill the battery(every bit helps to save the battery?) and not very good to the lifetime of your phone.
If you can include thefunction to disable the haptic feedback to your app it would be really fascinating
Thanks! Nice app.
Yeah this app will work on G1s running eclair too
Thanks man, I missed the ability to unlock by two presses in 2.1+ ROMs!

[APP]Eyeprint App Lock Beta

Hey Guys,
Its a great application landing to Galaxy S4
Most people make do with a PIN or pattern lock to secure their Android devices. If you need something a little stronger (or just want to feel like Ethan Hunt) EyeVerify has just released the beta version of an app that uses honest-to-goodness eye scans. Eyeprint takes a photo of your face, then matches the pattern of blood vessels on your eyeballs to a previous photo to access locked apps.

Technically, Eyeprint isn't using the classic retina scan to grant access - that would require a small amount of infrared light to illuminate the membrane at the back of the eye. It uses the same principle of amazingly unique vein patterns, but it picks them up from the corners of your eyes. Users need a front-facing camera of at lest 2 megapixels. To create the baseline, you'll have to follow the instructions while using the rear camera, looking to the far left and right to let the camera pick up the veins on your eyes. After that, a quick scan of your eyes looking left and right from the front-facing cam should do the trick.
EyeVerify hopes to expand its services to other developers on Android and iOS through an SDK. At present, the app can only lock other apps - you can't actually unlock your phone with an eye scan. (There's a quick "lock all" option for the truly paranoid.) Early feedback from the Play Store indicates that it's very efficacious, so hopefully more devices will be enables as the beta program continues. The Eyeprint App Lock Beta is free to try for 30 days.

Thanks to AP for the same.
just tried it yesterday , the concept is cool but too much wakelock in its current state . uninstalled it after few hours of usage since it topped wakelock detector. waiting for future updates, its having some great potential

If your phone always unlocked in your pocket, Pocket Screen Lock - this is what you need.
The application will automatically block all unwanted taps of the screen. Enjoy using.
The program is easy to use and intuitive, and for any user.
Simply select where you want to block your phone and activate services.
We recommend to disable the program for the night, as it can reduce the charge of your battery.
In the future, the program will be several additional features such as support for additional sensors and sleep mode.
I am developer, so I will be glad for the help with updates and correction of translation.
For video demonstration of work or a more complete description is also a huge + in karma)

Pocket Lock Pro Thank you
I haven't used your app long & it has worked great so far. Is there a way to configure the app so it only works once it's off my home wi-fi system & I'm down the road using the 4G network? I know I can turn it off & on, at my age I tend to forget the small things.

[App][2.1+] Simple and small flashlight with DOGE theme 1.1. Such app, very light.

I've created a simple flashlight app, it's small (1.1 MB) and (for now) it only has one button (ON/OFF). It works with devices with no led (lights with the screen) and it has simple layout - button with transculent background, you can minimize the app by touching the background. I've noticed that most of the flashlight apps have fullscreen activities with many buttons, functions and animations. All I want for app like this is one, simple ON/OFF button so I made my own. I added the doge theme, because it's fun and popular, I don't want a boring flashlight, like the most on the market
I made this app mainly as a joke, I don't think I plan to make money out of it, it's also my first app in the market (not to count the ones I made in my work). I'm planning to do some update after my christmas break - widget, better looking button, maybe notification bar button, but in the end I want this app to stay simple. So I wanted to share it with XDA - what do you think, is there a need for ANOTHER FLASHLIGHT?

Shameless selfbump
Guys, at least tell me is it working on your devices and/or should I change/add something (but remember I want it to remain small and simple)

Yup, I was planning to add ON/OFF button to lock screen, I never saw that in other flashlights I had, and I think it's pretty obvious idea to have one. And of course widget is coming.

[APP][2.2+] Shake Flashlight App! ?? (no root)

Shake Flashlight App! lets you configure shake for torch, background mode, use screen light or LED and more.
There are millions on flashlight apps out there, none had the customization options I wanted and often required root or included spyware. So I made my own... :good:

}
When you first open the app a dialog will allow you to set recommended settings. The recommended settings activate the following options: Start flashlight when app launches, Vibration feedback, Shake for torch and Run in background (so shake for torch can be used at any time - even with the screen off).
By tapping the settings button you can change any settings such as using the screen as the flashlight instead of the LED, you can also choose to have the screen remain on when the app is open.
This app only needs the camera permission (to use the camera's LED).
You can customize the shake strength. On my Nexus 5x and Galaxy S8 for an easy to activate nightlight I use Shake strength 30-40, otherwise about 70 is better for preventing accidental shakes - A karate chop gesture should do the trick
It's now in version 1.1, I've added more features such as an automatic off timer option where you can configure a timeout.
I've tried to keep the app easy to use with a clean appearance whilst still having plenty of customization options. Any suggestions for any features people would like to see added would be great....The only additional tweaks I can think of at the moment are customizable backgrounds within the app and configurable vibration strengths... but this would probably be overkill for a lightweight torch app!
Download:
I've attached the latest APK (it's around 1.5MB), it's also on the Play Store too
* Edit 24/04/2019 - Updated APK (to allow the app to work on newer versions of Android). Background and screen off responsiveness varies by device. Definitely recommend you disable battery optimisations for the app for better reliability.
