Yes, they removed it from website, that's weird.. Maybe they found some issues with that Kernel.

Nice job to the LG's update center.

Pie source has been released another time.

Moto G sources

Motorola has released the sources of our smartphone
Here is the link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/motog.motorola/files/
Hehe
Motorola hasn't ''released the source'' for the G, many things needed to the fun start will probably be out along the next days. But it's a beginning

anyone who knows what their doing can build any of the AOSP based rom's for the moto G, with the sources available. (unofficial)
but if your asking if its been announced that the moto G is getting those officially then i have no idea.
Yes i'm talking about announcement by the MIUI , CM or PA Team. I ask it to Silencer96.

most official builds come from people maintaining unofficial builds, so you will more than likely see it here before its made official

As far as I can tell this is only the sources Motorola are legally required to open source.
Sorry guys, no device configs here

Yeah, the kernel configs are what's legally required by Motorola. Every manufacturer has to release the sources as part of the GPL. It's really nothing special
They legally don't have to but if they want to be googles favorite then they will they could release a manual and still be aosp

I'm working in a fully device config based in CM configs from other motorola phones, and i expect a build in the nearly days.

Is licenses stuff, some android parts are GPL(Open source), these are Kernel and minor things, the rest of important part(Device and Vendor) are APACHE2 and the brands are allowed to don't release it.
Do the device and vendor repos contain drivers or just configs? Sorry for the noob question...

Latest android security patch needed [moto g 2015]

can some port latest android security patch for moto g 2015 (xt1550).
For which rom? On stock probably an OTA would be in schedule. On custom (at least in cm) the security patches are merged as soon as they are added to aosp.
Broadcasted from Zeta Reticuli

Moto isn't releasing the Nexus security updates... Google does monthly security updates for Nexus devices.
TBH, your more likely to be struck by lightning while being bitten by a shark than have issues specifically because of the not having the latest security patch.

I don't think you understand... Monthly security updates are only for Google Nexus devices, although Google release the fixes in the AOSP source code tree so its available to anyone. Moto does not implement monthly updates.
There are several aftermarket ROMs that have the July 1 updates, check the development forums.

Android N is confirmed for our device, so for stock, you have to wait. For now, only custom rom is solution.

Hmm... as I expected, this is a list of devices "most likely" to get the update, not an official confirmation. It is just the speculation of the writer of the article, even the title is dodgy... The section referencing the Moto G is similarly non-committal:
Here is Motorola’s Marshmallow update list, which also includes many Moto X, Moto G, and Moto E models. These devices might also be lucky enough to get update to Nougat on its release.

I am not saying we will or won't get it, but speculation and assumption can be a tad dangerous.

Yes, sort of. OnePlus stopped supporting the updates years ago, and the latest OxygenOS for the OPO is 2.1.4 or something. CM has supported it since day 1, though, and they aren't stopping now. It will be officially supported by the remainder of the CM team, who are now the LineageOS team. That said, downloads.cyanogenmod.org has not been taken down, and the latest nightly available for OPO is CM14.1(based on 7.1.1)and are quite stable.

At the moment it's a good basement for other kernels but the newest LOS 15.1 merged 3.4.113

Yes, that's just how Verizon rolls out their updates. You have to go through all of them before the major ones; keep in mind that it's still on Android 11 - A12 hasn't been released yet for Verizon variants.
