How to Install Mokee ROM

Hello im new to mi4i custom rom, i've phone installed MIUI7 global 5.11 version, i would like to install custom rom Mokee to my phone, but i don't know where to start.

you should backup your data first and then flash your phone to MIUI v6.6.1.0
Root your Phone, Install Custom recovery
Flash the Mokee Rom from Custom Recovery
And its Done

Should i flash the fastboot version?

i tried flashing mokee 5.1 on my mi4i but there are some errrors occuring repeatdly. i tried everything i knew. not happening . help me fix this. here the screenshots of the error.

Request for Stock Rooted ROM

hello developers ,
is it possible to release a stock rom which is rooted and can be flashed just like any custom rom using twrp or clockwork mod..
so if anyone want to isntall stock rom , then we dont have to go back and flash stock oppo recovery ---> then install stock rom ---> and then root it again..
instead just by flashing the stockrom with root .zip file , using twrp or clockworkmod we can get bacl stock os , just like flashing cyanogen mod rom or mokee rom or aicp rom that we already have.. for my samsung/lg devices there are stock roms which are rooted (with extra features like debloat and deodexed )deodex is difficult so not needed..but atleast we can have a stock rooted rom..

The easy way would be to make factory reset, root the device, install custom recovery, backup the device. Then copy the backup to PC or the external sdcard.

Mi4C Flashing From Stock

hei there, i just bought a new mi4c. and it has been a week.
So i want to share my step on installing custom rom right away from stock.
the step is :
1. Install kingiroot
2. Root your phone using kingiroot
3. Install flashify from playstore
4. grant root for flashify and flash twrp custom recovery to mi4c
5. install reboot recovery from playstore and use the app to enter recovery mode
6. Flash custom recovery from your desired ROM. (in my case, i install custom recovery from xiaomi.eu
7. Install your ROM through the custom recovery
Done.
I've already installed Custom Rom 8.2.1.0 miui.eu Everything work well excepet edge tap (edge control).
do i miss something on my flashing step?
or do i need some later ROM as baseband before installing my desired custom ROM?

For anyone following this, if you want to flash a not miui based custom rom you have to unlock the bootloader with the official tool, otherwise you will brick the device.
If you brick the device flash the oldest firmware you can find(I already had this problem before).

I used Kingo to root my Mi4c and it worked well.
Does not work anymore if you run with Android 7.0
Note: my AV detected Kingo Link as trojan...

Need uregent help!!! Miui 8 , bootloop !!!!! How to install custom rom with miui 8

I wanted to install cutom rom in my Mi4i working on MIUI 8, so I installed TWRP from toolkit , which also installed SuperSU.But I don't know if my bootloader was unlocked or not?
I saw in a youtube video to flash MIUI 6 first to install Custom rom or you might endup in BOOTLOOP.
In TWRP I wiped Dalvik,Data,Cache,System.
Went to INSTALL, tried installing MIUI6 but that package failed to install. Giving error unable to mount.
I tried custom rom crDroid and it installed but when I restarted I WAS STUCK IN BOOTLOOP.
After a heartattack I finally flashed MIUI8 with MiFLASHER using fastboot image of MIUI 8.
SO, I want to ask IS THERE A WAY TO INSTALL CUSTOM ROM ,IF I AM ON MIUI 8????
And that bootloop was caused beacuse I didn't unlock bootloader when I installed crDroid???

I would suggest you to install Resurrection Remix as it is based on miui8 firmware.
You were stuck in bootloop because crDroid was based on miui6 firmware and probably your installation of the same was failed ( Like you're saying )
Since you get "Heart Attack", Prefer clean install.
Wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache.
Flash Rom, gapps,
Reboot to system.
Note:- To install custom ROMs based on miui6 firmware, first of all, flash the provided firmware in the thread instead of flashing the whole miui6.
Ask further if it doesn't work.

Stuck on Android Lollipop not getting any updates and cant even install TWRP

Hi Guys,
I had previously installed TWRP and was on android nougat ROM but I wasn't able to run Snapchat so I came back to stock ROM. Now that I am on stock ROM with the help of flashing stock ROM guide by Naeem Shaikh, I am not getting any updates to EUI 5.8 and nor can I install TWRP on this version as which I try installing the phone doesn't reboot. I tried installing the update manually but it didn't work also. Someone please help me with this issue.
