factory reset the device and if it's still not working then you have no choice but to send it in for warranty.

Hi guys.
I have an in-call problem with my Desire S.
This does not happen when I get called, just when I initiate a call.
When I call someone, the other part of the conversation will always hear a great noise or interference coming from my phone's microphone to the point that my voice is not understandable anymore.
I noticed though, that if I switch to speaker and back to earpiece the problem gets solved for that particular conversation.
Do you guys know of any permanent fix for this?
thanks.
Hey... nice to see a felow ro. on this forum.
Try a factory reset...it sounds to me like a software problem.
If that doesn't do it.....waranty should cover it.
Ok. So I hard reset and after spending a whole lot of time which I did not have reconfiguring the phone, I got the same problem.
And I figured out that the culprit is the Keep Service option in PowerAmp. Unchecked that and no more problems... and no warranty call... phew!
Hey guys. I'm having an issue with my microphone during calls. People say that they hear me very soft, as if I'm on speaker phone and far away. Other times they can't hear me at all, just a lot of weird interference. I tried calling myself using a VOIP app and left myself a voicemail and I can't hear a thing regardless if I'm using speakerphone or not.
There is NO problem when I'm on a call using bluetooth in the car. There is no problem when I use any voice recording/google now/swype voice recognition type app. Video recordings also work fine.
I'm using the latest OmniROM with Franco.Kernel. I can confirm that the problem also persists when I use the OmniROM kernel.
Could this be a software issue? I'm concerned because my screen has a crack in it and I'm not sure if Google/LG will cover a microphone issue under warranty because of the cracked screen. (I can also confirm that this problem existed BEFORE the phone fell causing the cracked screen).

So I confirmed that this is not a software issue. I went back to stock everything and the problem persists. I opened it up to see if I could do anything to the mic itself, but it's attached to the board and there was nothing I could do. At this point I have a phone with a disfunctional microphone and a voided warranty due to a cracked screen. This sucks. Is there any software that will let me switch which microphone is used during calls? Again, the mic that is used for voice recognition and video recording and google now and voice recording and all that stuff works. The only mic that doesn't work is the bottom mic during calls. Can I switch it so that calls go through the other mic? it won't be perfect, but better than nothing.
So i had the L preview on my Nexus 5 previously, no root or anything. Then on friday I flashed the factory lollipop using Nexus Root Toolkit. Everything has been fine except making calls.
When i get a phone call it rings i answer but cannot hear anything - unless i press the loudspeaker button then i can hear the other person and they can hear me. and the same when i make a call too - i cannot even hear the dialing tone normally.
I flashed again today to try and fix this and then reset to factory defaults. Didn't get any errors on flash. still no sound or mic on calls unless i turn on loudspeaker.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and if theres a fix for it?
Thanks for any help you can give.
Is there a way of verifying if it's a hardware issue?

i guess i could flash kitkat again? but the thing is that switching it to speaker allows my mic to work also. so its a software thing i think. Not sure how to test the earpiece speaker however.
i solved this problem, it was a stupid thing i had in my headphone jack called pressy.
my moto g 8gb has the 'no sound during calls' problem, it also has the buzzing earpiece problem. Its already been replaced because on the 'no sound during calls' problem. Has there been any developments recently in getting a fix for this or do i need to get it swapped over again?
cheers guys
Only option that worked for me is a Reboot.
Its a nightmare as i have been cut off from many calls. I did a factory reset and the fuzzy earpiece is still a problem but the sound during calls is fine, no doubt that fault will return, i would have thought someone would have found a fix as this problem has been ongoing for a long time now.
Hi,
i've bought recently used e3 but i have problem. During calls second person can't hear me well - voice is silent and muffled. Tried to do factory reset but problem remains. Also when i connect headphones everything is okay. Is it hardware problem or something else can save it?
