[APP][4.1+]Google Now Launcher - L Material working

Hello XDA fellows,
I just figured out how to get L material from Google Now Launcher on my Galaxy Core GT-I8262 and i wanna share my method to you.
I'm not sure if that will work on your device but at least you can try if you want new L look.

Instructions:
-First of all you want to do is to change your build.version.release= to L (build.version.release=L) in bp (not the REL to L).
If you are running 4.1.2 or 4.2.2(or any other) it will be written like that, just replace it with one simple " L ".

-Second thing you have to do is to download any System App Manager like link2sd or anyother.

Delete all of these :
-Google Now Launcher (if you have it)
-Google Play Store
-Google Play Services
-Google Search
(Play Store and Services are system apps)
Now when you deleted all these files, by help of Aptoide(Market) get them again and install(LATEST VERSION / That means Google Play Store runs new 5.0).
Make exception to Google Play Services and do not install it, but install others.
After installation make them to be System apps.
Reboot and after rebooting install Google Play Services (LATEST VERSION) and make it too System app.

Aptoide download.
-Reboot your phone
-Install Google Now Launcher (I did it from Aptoid, latest version)
-Start and enjoy new L look
I DID THIS FEW TIMES ON MY DEVICE AND IT WORKED

PS: Its double tap to wake(not unlock, xda doesn't allows title re-edit)
Huawei has released OTA B013SP01 for private beta. Its going to be available in few days/weeks to everyone.
2 major changes :
- Double click screen to wake up device
- Allow other messaging apps to be set as default.
Process to update(if you don't want to wait for official release)
- Download update.zip from here : https://www.dropbox.com/s/ag7vqb2tqlr11of/update.zip?dl=1
- Save update.zip in dload folder on sd card.
- goto EMUI Updater > menu > local update > select the sd card incremental update.
After update there will be a chinese app installed. You need to open it and enable it and press ok.
This will not work on rooted devices. If you are rooted, try this :
- Install B013 by dload method. This will not reset your phone. It will keep ur apps installed. Just that it will add huawei bloats that you would have removed. and root will be lost.
- upgrade to B013SP01 as mentioned above. Re-root by Superuser SU method mentioned in another post.
- thats it you are rooted and have SP01 too.

Does anybody know if the EMUI version has been updated? I am particularly interested in the multi-window feature present on the P8-Max.

I am using my X2 on the Three network in the UK too...and I am delighted with the signal consistency and speed especially on the 4G band. I had an X1 and Three had blocked data access on it!
I am with you, looking forward to the mutli-window feature to make maximum use of the 7" screen

I am coming from samsung Note II, I am very happy with my first Huawei device,Honor X2,
I have installed the above update it is working perfectly well no issues at all,i have always wanted double Tap to wake up on my devices.
You know of course that a long press on recents on screen button will give you a multitasking ability though just two applications.

How long did it take to do the update? Mine is stuck at 90% after running for about 15 minutes. I was on bone stock B013. Had to manually power off and back on. Nothing changed. I tried a factory reset then tried updating again. Stuck at 90%.

Leaked Nexus Launcher Working

This leaked launcher is working fine on our mate 8.
Download
Download, then unzip all the folders and install the app files and then.set launcher in launcher default menu.
Those who are rooted can flash and set via TWRP.
All credits to xda and developers who made this possible.

Working pretty good.. but I had to lower my DPI a little bit... I wish I can link the calendar widget to the default calendar app.

The wallpaper apps is really good and work perfectly without the launcher(need to go in setting/screen and here you can chose the apps )

How To Install Gapps In China Developer ROMs and using English language - MIUI

Hi guys here I am going to tell about detail procedure to install google apps in MIUI China stable and developer ROMs
#Required_app:
Google installer

#Procedure:
1 .Install the Apk
2. Click blue symbol to continue
3. Now Google apps will start downloading one by one
4. After every app downloading it will ask u to install so install then next app will starts downloading
5. Now totally 6 apps will be installed
-Google play store
-Google play services
-Google services framework
-Google account manager
-Google calendar sync
-Google contact sync
6. Now after installing all apps just go to settings>installed apps>find all apps and clear data and cache for all apps
7. Now reboot the device and sign in
8. Now update google play services
That's it enjoy now :fingers-crossed::good:
#NOTE: before doing all this process if you guys are using mobile data then once go to downloads app>settings>put in unlimited (downloading using mobile data is restricted) and continue the process. allow permission to google contact sync app and reboot device
English language for theme manager -
A lot of guys are in a blind thought like China developer ROM will have only Chinese language all over, no you all are wrong. We have the English language also to select and we have some Chinese stuff which we can avoid it and can deactivate it and can be uninstalled Chinese apps.
1. Music player online content we all know that in global ROMs we have Hungama as an online content but we can't get that in China developer ROM since here there will be Chinese online content, we can disable is easily follow me. Only online content is Chinese app is already in English
Open music app - my account - settings icon on the top left corner - go to last and disable online content services.
2. Mi video app here also same we will have Chinese online content. Only online content is in Chinese remaining all in English already
Open mi video app - go to my account on the bottom right side - go to settings - disable online content services.
3. Theme manager will be in the Chinese language to, so to change it to the English language just follow my steps.
1. The device must be rooted
2. Any root cause Explorer app will be fine.
3. Write this lines on build.prop
ro.miui.region=IN
ro.miui.cust_variant=en
Or
Flash the attached zip simply
Clear Data of Theme Manager and just Reboot thanks to @dminfinity for build.pro lines
Now enjoy :fingers-crossed::good:

Theme store doesn't change .
This method doesn't work on miui 9.5.

The link to file host is dead. Ver.'s of this app are reported with some possible malware by VirusTotal. At install on a China-fied Xperia Z running KitKat, the app hangs at 4%.

Update: A third attempt, with maybe a modded ver. of v.3 of the installer, gained ground—until I tried logging in to G-Play. Logins throw errors and PW prompts for config. deny known correct PWs.

Redmi k50 Pro

Hellos, I understand the current Redmi K50 pro is running the China rom of MIUI 13. I managed to get playstore installed but i am unable to get chrome install and removing the assorted chinese roms. Is there a solution for this or i will have to wait for custom rom support?

I think the current rom includes Google Play Services Framework. Just download the apk and sideload the Google Play Store app. Have a try.

This is a great phone, can you tell me your experience with this phone? Especially, is there a lock fps phenomenon when it's overheated? Thanks

I managed to side load but i need my google interface like google assistant etc with integration with maps and calendar...... Right now its everything xiaomi like calendar browser etc. And xiao ai assistant

Side load Play Store apk, then login Play Store to install any apps you need such as Google Maps, etc.

you need to set "google basic services" option on in settings, then install a new version play store apk. K50 can pass safetynet, don't worry it. I have one too, and I can use play store normally.

You need to update WebKit in the play store in order to install chrome.

just install a new google play store from apkmirror and update all in google play store

You can change the swipe settings in settings and uninstall 内容中心(Content Center). Long press the AI search bar to enter the settings to close it

I'm not sure I understand is there a twrp or custom recovery in the works?
Usually with Xiaomi devices bootloader unlock is easy and there's always a recovery and custom Roms. This phone is an absolute powerhouse for the money. Is it not able to be made because of MediaTek chip

some is in work, but Xiaomi has not open-sourced the K50 series kernel and dt, some problem can not be solved

you gotta downlaod playstore from apk mirror and then go into it and install all regular google apps

I´d like to have a topic for this phone so we can shae our experience, it is a great phone, but to be used in AMERICA-Europe, you need to place a few tricks in order to make it work properly, but definitely can be done
