Hi,
I recently purchased a tripod and bluetooth shutter remote control to allow me to take photos/video of garden wildlife with the camera set up in the garden but while I am inside of the house so as not to disturb said wildlife. Bluetooth shutter remote works perfectly but the problem I have is that while waiting for the wildlife to appear the camera app switches off and the display shows "Touch the screen to activate the camera." I've tried changing the display sleep time on the phone to the maximum of 10minutes but that doesn't help.
Does anyone have any suggested fixes for this?
Thanks
Ken

Try Record Now!. It does exactly what you want it to do, works great (I tested it myself), and is free - that's always a plus, right?
EDIT - Just found Secret Video Recorder Free. I haven't tested it, but you might want to try this one, as well.
Post thank? :fingers-crossed:
I looking for smartwatch s2 app for remote my camera. I wanna take photos and video. Nikon D750 have wi-fi.
Thanks for answers
This will be something...by now there is no camera controller for the phone..so...this may be a nice dream
Maybe something new?
Anybody have solution?
Steps to control Nikon D750 with remote:
Mount the camera on a tripod (recommended) or place the camera on a stable, level surface.
Press the button and rotate main command dial until (delayed remote) or (quick response remote) is displayed in the control panel.
Frame the photograph. In autofocus (AF) mode, the camera shutter-release button can be used to check focus, although only the shutter release-button on the remote control can be used to release the shutter. Note - To ensure correct exposure in modes other than M, cover the viewfinder eyepiece with your hand or with the supplied DK-5 eyepiece cap before pressing the shutter-release button. This will prevent light entering via the viewfinder from interfering with the autoexposure operation.
Aim the transmitter on the ML-L3 at the infrared receiver on the camera and press the shutter-release button on the ML-L3 (when using the remote outdoors, make sure that the subject is not backlit and that the line of site between the transmitter and the infrared receiver is not blocked by the lens or other obstacles). The maximum operational distance of the ML-L3 is 5m directly in front of the camera.

Hi.
I need to start and stop video recording remotely. I tried to use the wired headset, I can start and stop the video with the volume buttons, but the stock camera app is using the headset's mic instead of the internal mic which is not good for me.
I installed soundabout from playstore, I tried to disable the detection of the mic of the headset, but the camera app is still using the headset mic...
I installed camera remote from playstore - I have android wear smartwatch - it's working fine, but it can't record in FullHD with 60 FPS.
Any suggestions?

I'm thinking tasker or automate it, there's a camera plug in for automate it but it only seems to take pics not video, there's bound to be a way to do it.

I'm recording squash games, the phone is on glass, and I need to start and stop after each game without taking the phone off from the glass.
I even tried with bluetooth headset, but the volume buttons on the BT headset do not control the camera application at all, it's adjusting the volume...
Maybe I need to use a 3rd party camera application, but neither I tried is able to record in 60 fps fullhd. I don't understand why, I think the capability of the camera can be queried by the application, so all is needed to let the user choose from the settings the camera is capable of. But it seems camera application developers are hard coding the formats I can choose from.
I have an Ottocast U2-Plus Android AI box. When I have a music app and a navigation app active at the same time, the audio will switch to a "low quality" mode when the navigation app provides me with directions.
An example of this type of activity can be found here in this YouTube video at 13:15. This activity is different than when Android Auto is active with both a music app and a navigation app active at the same time. In Android Auto, when the navigation app provides me with directions, it will lower the volume of the audio feed from the music app, provide me with directions at full volume from the navigation app, and then it will play music of the audio feed from the music app at full volume. When using a music app and a navigation app from the Android AI box, the audio will switch to a "low quality mode," (e.g., many of the speakers will shut off, and I'll hear some static in the background in addition to the volume of the audio feed from the music app being turned down) which is incredibly jarring.
In the YouTube video I linked to, the video creator provided a workaround for the Google Maps app where this behavior won't be observed if you turn off "OK Google" detection while driving. However, this doesn't fix the issue with Waze, which is the navigation app I primarily use. Turning off "OK Google" detection while driving in Waze does not fix this issue.
Does anyone know of a workaround or fix to avoid the "low quality" sound mode issue for an Android AI box when using a music app and the Waze navigation app? I'd preferably like advice pertaining to the Ottocast U2-Plus, but I'm still within the return period for the U2-Plus, so if you know of a fix for a different Android AI box, I wouldn't mind that recommendation.
Thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to provide!
Oh, after some experimentation I figured it out.
I guess for Waze it's the "play sound to phone speaker setting." So, you need to go into Settings->Voice & Sound->Play sound to phone speaker needs to be set to OFF.
Thank you for taking the time and sharing this, really helped me!
I'm using an Onn ATV box, and I love having my bt headphones connected because I have terrible hearing, and this way others don't get blasted away by the absurdly loud volume. The problem is I can't just switch off the headphones without unpairing them altogether, and I can't turn off bluetooth without losing my ATV remote. Is there any simple device toggle app out there that would let me only disable/enable one/many device at a time granularly?
Bonus points for one with permission to display over another app so I don't even have to exit the video I'm watching to switch bt devices!!
