I found my old samsung s7 recently and I also found out I forgot the password, I then performed a hard reset thinking i could just start from scratch when I was met with Google's FRP lock and unfortunately I also forgot my old gmail password that was originally used with the phone. I've tried setting Stock rom and right now it's on a tmobile 6.0 marshmallow rom. I need some help on unlocking because I have run out of all ideas. If anyone knows if rooting or a root like process can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
If this helps the phone is a samsung s7 originally bought from tracfone Its running 8.0 and I can get to download mode. When I plug it into a windows machine it is able to recognize the device. (I'm not sure if any of that helps but there it is)
So first off everything on your phone is gone, weren't you asking how to retrieve the data in another thread?
Anyway there's quite a few guides around on how to bypass FRP lock on a G930F Oreo, so that's where you need to start. It can be tedious and slightly difficult dependent on your IT abilities. I also just noticed you said it's running MM 6.0? then say it's running 8.0, 8.0 what? It matters because bypassing FRP on 6.0 Marsh mallow is easier than 8.0 Oreo

Like i said it's tedious and takes time, follow this guide which includes downloading various files to flash in Odin.

Hey so I was wondering if I could keep my root after installing the default os or something similar.
So I rooted my phone with a custom OS and it worked all fine. I then logged into my google account and worked fine. I restarted my phone and then at the top it just says Custom Binary blocked by FRP.
I have fixed it so I can use it but I was wondering if I could root it and then remove it somehow? That was the only issue I was having when I did that. Rooting worked and everything just I need to know a way to either delete FRP or Get around it where I won't see it again. Hopefully this makes some sense.
Android Version: 6.0.1
Model Number: SM-G920P
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S6
If you need anymore info let me know.

Greetings and welcome to assist. This is for the edge variant but the principal is the same, you need to turn off OEM lock

Hi there I've been away from rooting for a bit and i have been trying to root a broken s7 edge more recently. Its got 6.0.1 stock on it. It all works except the volume up button. I seem to be able to access the phones files and sd card in windows. I can also flash 6.0.1 it seems by forcing it into download mode. But its still stuck on FRP and i can't find any way to unlock the bootloader to install custom software. I've been trying all the tutorials i can find but none work. Is this Samsung patching these security holes and so they no longer work? The password Is unknown for the Google account and it's not blacklisted or anything like that I've not used the SIM in any tutorial though. So is this doable or is it impossible at present? It all seems a lot more secure since my last root :s Thanks

Try this for bypassing Factory Reset Protection(FRP)
https://www.progeeksblog.com/bypass-factory-reset-protection-on-samsung-devices/
Or this
https://www.xda-developers.com/rootjunky/
As for rooting the device, there aren't many methods that work on lollipop and newer firmwares other than maybe trying Kingroot and Kingoroot or flashing TWRP(not an option for you since you have a locked bootloader) for your model number then flashing Super or Magisk.
I DO NOT PROVIDE HELP IN PM, KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
Hey guys,
I flash the new firmware of the S7 Flat (SM-G930F) to Android Oreo 8.0.
But what I was forgot its that I need to verify my account after the flashing, unfortunatly i didn't know what was the google account, how can i bypass the frp lock?

Hi
How can i do this??
Im stuck
If you're stuck on FRP lock at boot, you cannot downgrade, you can only flash with same or newer (original) firmware (I discovered it the hard way- tried over 20 firmwares). Download the latest one for your phone, location (CSC) shouldnt matter, try flashing one item at a time (Pit-> Modem -> Bootloader -> System -> CSC)
The pit file can be extracted from the CSC archive.
Once you complete the flash, you should be able to boot the OS and verify your google account. from there, you should know what to do.
Hope this works for you - I spent 2 days trying to bypass FRP (PITA)
I missed the part where you don't know which Google account you used. That's gonna be a tough one...let us know if you figure it out.
Hey i have a Canadian Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930W8 model and when i bought it second hand buddy did not remove his google& Samsung account which is preventing me from having my OWN phone and i want to factory reset it and cannot do it through the setting (powered on) and in recovery it says that it will require the Google account that is currently on the phone be signed into once the reset is complete stupid FRP protection. I found the Samsung master reset code online and im hoping that will work but wanted to ask the community before i tried just to be safe. Please any helped is greatly appreciated thanks.
ALSO its running the july 1 2018 security patch and android 8.0 ored
The only way to get past FRP is the google account or an FRP bypass exploit which are all patched in Oreo.
Take it back to the seller and get them to unlock it for you.
Its not lock i have full access i am trying to get rid of his Samsung & google account if i could root it i could get it but cant seem to find a rooting method for this phone ..... Im not locked out of it i have 100% access just need his account removed
G930W8 is Exynos, so you should just be able to flash TWRP and then flash a root zip. But if you factory reset its going to lock down. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/recovery-official-twrp-herolte-t3333770
Downgrading to marshmallow and using a bypass method (even though it's not locked, bypass lets you change the google account) may be your best bet.
Ok so downgrade to 6.0? And then find a frp unlock for marshmallow and then i dont kno how to run the bypass never had a phone with this nonsense ..... As for the root method which root file would i have to get i could then have my brother write a snippet like the old "remove gapps\knox\samsung apps" i doubt the old one i have would even work lol
Lookup FRP bypasses on youtube, there's many methods and at least once will work - it's not a simple process however.
In that TWRP thread I linked is the Super SU flashable zip, or Magisk would be the best root methods.
Hi. I'm new here as a member, but I've found this site from my interest in rooting earlier this year. I'm aware of losing data and accidental bricking, and I've been searching for quite a while. I'm mostly interested to get rid of "bloatware" and remove ads. I currently don't know where or how to start, but I did start backing up files and data to keep. I also got SuperSU and Titanium Backup (and ADB installed on my computer).
I came across several pages of stuff, but I couldn't find anything recent/relevant. Links:

If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be helpful! I can use a PC (Windows 10) for doing part of the rooting process if necessary.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S7 with T-Mobile as the carrier. Model SM-G930T, version 8.0.0, and build number (just in case) R16NW.G930TUVSBCTA2.

This would be a thread you'd want to take a look at: https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-s7-s7edge-oreo-nougat-t3819616. Unfortunately, you are on binary #11/B, and there is no root for that. There is no eng.boot for that, and that's what you need in order to root. The last eng.boot was for #10/A.

Hi and thanks! I'm guessing that means I can't root with my current device...?
Oh, and I did check out that thread, but I can't tell if it will work for my device (or what I'll need).

Not until there is the correct eng.boot for the current binary. Our bootloader's are locked, so no way to downgrade.

Root Help!!!
I am also on a Samsung Galaxy S7 with T-Mobile as the carrier. Model SM-G930T, version 8.0.0, and build number R16NW.G930TUVSBCTA2.
When trying to Root using odin, I keep getting the SW Rev Check Fail: [Boot] Fused 11 > binary 8 (or 1, or 4; it depends on which Tar I am using to attempt root).
If anyone finds a solution, please share! Thx!!!
