Samsung S8+ (SM-G955F) FRP bypass G955FXXS4CSA2 AUSTRALIA - Samsung Galaxy S8 Guides, News, & Discussion

Working FRP bypass for Samsung S8+ (SM-G955F) G955FXXS4CSA2 Firmware for Australia with 8.0.0 Oreo
Software used:
Odin
7-Zip
Firmware used:
COMBINATION_FA70_G955FXXU4ARI1
XSA-G955FXXS4CSA2-20190130100335 AUSTRALIA XSA
Unsure if this work around will work for other countries but worth a try by changing the firmware files
Firstly need to download Firmwares for the S8+
Create a new folder where you need to unzip AP BL HOME_CSC Files to delete some files
In BL folder delete cm.bin.lz4, param.bin.lz4, up_param.bin.lz4 leave sboot.bin.lz4 in the file use 7-Zip to convert back to .tar file and rename to BL_G955FXXS4CSA2_CL14483965_QB21338337_REV00_user_low_ship
In AP folder delete meta-data file, userdata.img.lz4 leave boot.img.lz4, recovery.img.lz4 sytem.img.lz4 in the file use 7-Zip to convert back to .tar file and rename to AP_G955FXXS4CSA2_CL14483965_QB21338337_REV00_user_low_ship_meta
In HOME_CSC folder delete meta-data leave cache.img.lz4, hidden.img.lz4 in the file use 7-Zip to convert back to .tarfile and rename HOME_CSC_XSA_G955FXSA4CRJ1_CL14519757_QB20086231_REV00_user_low_ship
CP no files need to be deleted leave as a CP_G955FXXS4CRL2_CP11298465_CL14483965_QB20804611_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.Md5 file
If you use CSC_XSA_G955FXSA4CRJ1_CL14519757_QB20086231_REV00_user_low_ship.tar file the FRP bypass will fail
Firstly need to put the phone into download mode by pressing vol down bixby and power button together use odin to flash the combination file COMBINATION_FA70_G955FXXU4ARI1 to the phone
Once flashed and restarted go to settings developers options make sure USB debugging is enabled next open factory IME type *#0808# change USB SETTINGS to DM+ACM+ADB reboot
the phone back into FACTORY BINARY then turn phone off and reboot into download mode.
Flash the new AP BL CP HOME_CSC to the phone using Odin
with any luck the phone should load back into stock firmware with FRP off go to settings-General Management-Reset-Factory Data Reset
the phone should Factory Reset with FRP still off should be able to set the phone up like a brand new phone
If the phone fails on start up with the new Firmware put back into download reinstall FACTORY BINARY follow the same steps again

Tried this, having issues
So I am obviously using a newer binary because that's all I was able to use. I'm using a modded odin v3.14.1 and i have followed every step to the best of my ability but for whatever reason as soon as i hit start, odin crashes. Any ideas?

[Q&A] Screwed up modem? You can repair it without flashing the whole firmware.

I was flashing CF-ROOT, but I made a mistake and flashed it to PHONE instead of PDA, screwing up the modem stuff. I found a way to fix it without flashing the whole thing and I want to tell you guys.
If this happens to you, you can fix it doing the following.
1) Go to Download Mode (adb reboot download or the three-key boot).
2) Extract the .tar.md5 file of the firmware that has the modem you want to flash to your device. Use 7zip, if it gives you a md5 error, it's OK.
3) Look for the modem.bin file. Copy it somewhere, for example the Desktop.
4) Open Odin, click on the PHONE button, and go to the place you copied the modem.bin file.
5) Odin will not list it as it does not has .tar.md5 or .tar extension. Just type modem.bin in the File name field and press Enter and Odin will swallow it.
6) Select Auto Reboot only. Click on Start. Enjoy.
7) Press the THANKS button down there.

First of all post in the general section. Second, read a lot.
Thirdly, which firmware are you at present? If KPE, flash LF2. The new stock firmwares only have a single .tar file. No modem, csc or any other files needed. And download from here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647/

How can i flash a single file .tar.md5 with odin, becuause now all the firmwares come with a single file i.e. .tar.md5 unlike old firmwares have CSC, modem and PDA file
shall i put pit file first and then flash which option needs to be checked ?
This has become really confusing for me now.
Can i also put my phone in download mode and flash via KIES ?
Thanks in advance,
Suhail

Its not clear how to proceed with the flashing of the firmware, as the steps asked to perform by you are contradicting to your previous post -> As there is only only file i.e GT-I9003_XEO_I9003XWLF2_I9003OXXLF1_I9003XXLE4 and rest of the files i.e PHONE file: MODEM_I9003XXKPE_REV_00_CL1041909.tar, BOOTLOADER file: APBOOT_I9003XXKPE_CL409735_REV08_user_low_ship.tar, CSC file: GT-I9003-CSC-MULTI-OXAKPE.tar are not required. Please be specific what is to be done to complete the flashing procedure.

Hi LoLaTiOn,
I have unzipped the CSROOT file, what I could see was a .img file where as while selecting the file in the ODin 1.85 it demands for a .tar file. Can you please further help in this and pass me the link for the actual file i.e CSROOTXXXXXXXX.tar file in the required format to flash the Android OS.
Rest all the files in the link provided by you are in the required format.

Hi Siddhant,
Anybody in the world knows that we have to unzip a zipped file before using it. The actual problem is that --> After unzipping the file , I see a .img file where as Odin requires a .tar file to flash the Android OS. I tried converting it into a .tar file by using a cygwin terminal but no luck. I also tried searching for the same file in other links (Websites) but still there was no luck.
Can you give a hand to help me out.

U mentioned "step 2" that means u were stuck in DDLF2 flashing step. But now ur telling "CFROOT LF2" step.
Okay, now in this step u don't need to unzip this file & just flash it from odin as in PDA section.
But I hope ur able to boot into ur phone after flashing DDLF2 firmware.
Good luck!

Download this DDLF2 firmware & extract it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329200
1. After extracting, switch off your phone & go to download mode.
2. Open odin 1.85 on ur PC & connect ur phone to ur PC. Check, whether it is connected by the yellow signal.
3. First only flash .pit file from the extracted folder. Then remove battery & put it back then again go download mode.
4. Browse & select all respected files from the extracted folder. (Do not include bootloader file if ur coming back to stock from CM 10 based roms.)
5. Click start.
Good luck!

Tuto : install Galaxy S7 Edge Nougat firmware

Your dreams are now reality!
You can install Nougat easily on your Galaxy s7 edge!!
1)Download Odin 3.12.3 .zip file and run/open Odin3 v3.12.3.exe file from the extracted files on your PC.
2)Download the Nougat firmware for your device from the downloads section above, and unzip the .zip file to get the files starting with AP, CSC, Home_CSC, BL and CP in the beginning of their name.
3)Enable OEM unlock on your phone:
Go to Settings » About phone » and tap Build number seven times to enable Developer options.
4)Go back to main Settings page, scroll to bottom and select Developer options from there.
Under Developer options, look for Enable OEM unlock checkbox/toggle and enable it.
5) Boot your device into Download mode:
Switch off your device.
Press and hold “Home + Power + Volume down” buttons for a few seconds until you see a warning screen.
Press Volume Up on the warning screen to accept it and boot into Download mode.
6) Once your device is in download mode, connect it to the PC with a USB cable. The Odin window on PC should detect the device and show an “Added!!” message.
7) Now we’ll select each firmware file (from files we got in Step 2 above) into the appropriate box in Odin.
Click on CSC tab and select the firmware file starting with HOME_CSC in its name.
└ Note: Do NOT select the regular CSC file that starts with CSC in its name, as that would replace your CSC and thus would result factory data reset of the device.
Click on CP tab and select file starting with CP in its name.
Click on BL tab and select the file starting with BL in its name.
Click on AP tab and select the file starting with AP in its name.
└ Note: DON’T play with any other options on Odin the screen. You’re only required to connect your device and select the firmware files as instructed above.
Click the Start button on Odin and wait for it to finish the process. Once it has finished successfully, you’ll see a pass message on the Odin screen.
8) Your device will automatically reboot when Odin is done flashing. You can then disconnect your device.
└ It might take some time for the first boot after flashing a stock firmware.
That’s it. Your Galaxy S7/Galaxy S7 Edge is now rocking Android Nougat update.
9) enjoy

Need urgent help converting my S8+ to a T-Mobile unit

I purchased a Verizon S8+ and flashed the unlocked firmware following a thread on Reddit. I'm now on the unlocked firmware but I'm having some major issues with the signal for some reason and need to desperately switch to the T-Mobile firmware. I found this thread and want to follow these directions but I'm a noob when it comes to flashing.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/how-to/carrier-switch-snapdragon-t3615680
I need someone to help walk me through this or something. Some of the steps are probably so obvious but I'm just unsure how/where to do the required action. I wish there was a service where I could temporarily hire someone to communicate via text or something lol
Here are the steps from the link above with my questions in red.
1. Download Factory Binary, EngBoot, G955U normal, and the G955W firmware - Done but the G955U file in the link brings me to a tmboile file, maybe I should have downloaded the U1 file?
2. Turn off phone
3. Hold down on Bixby button + power + volume down
4. open Odin v3.12.7
5. add the Factory Binary to the AP section of Odin. Do I just add the entire .tar file to the ap section or which file in the zip combination file?
6. Plug your phone into your computer (NEEDS TO BE WINDOWS) with Odin open
7. Make sure your device is connected and recognized by Odin.
8. Click start.
9. One the phone reboots run the ADB command, adb reboot bootloader
10. Open modded Odin and flash the EngBoot - How do I flash engboot? Which section in odin and which file in the engboot zip file or the whole .tar file?
11. Click start
12. Once the phone reboots type the command adb reboot bootloader
13. Put the HOME_CSC of the G955W firmware into the CSC part of Odin (unmodded)
14. Click start
15. Open IME setting on Factory Binary - How do I do this? I unzipped the factory binary file but don't see an IME setting, or am I understanding this incorrectly? Where exactly do I find this IME setting?
16. Type in *#243203855# - I'm assuming steps 16-18 will become evident once I figure out step 15?
17. Select XAC
18. Click install
19. Wait for phone to reboot
20. Once it does open terminal and type in adb shell
21. Then type in echo "XXX" > /efs/imei/mps_code.dat
22. Type in exit into adb shell
23. Type in adb reboot bootloader
24. Flash the G955U firmware of your choosing without Userdata. Also make sure to flash the non-home CSC - Is this the 955u file i downloaded and mentioned in step one? The linked download brings me to Tmobile file so I think it might be this but not positive. If not, when I search on updato I see many different tmobile versions, how do I know which to use?
25. Enjoy your new carrier!
If you guys can help get my phone converted to a tmobile unit I'll forever be in your debt. I plan on learning more about this stuff to avoid this happening again but right now it's somewhat urgent as I am having trouble even using my phone. I'll gladly donate to the Root bounty as well.

[GUIDE] How to root Galaxy A7 2018

I am not responsible for any loss or damages done by you
Before we proceed we must first unlock the bootloader.
Unlocking BootloaderUnlocking the bootloader on modern Samsung devices have some caveats. The newly introduced VaultKeeper service will make the bootloader reject any unofficial partitions in some cirumstances.
Allow bootloader unlocking in Developer options → OEM unlocking
Reboot to download mode: power off your device and press the download mode key combo for your device
Long press volume up to unlock the bootloader. This will wipe your data and automatically reboot.
Go through the initial setup. Skip through all the steps since data will be wiped again in later steps. Connect the device to Internet during the setup.
Enable developer options, and confirm that the OEM unlocking option exists and is grayed out. This means the VaultKeeper service has unleashed the bootloader.
Your bootloader now accepts unofficial images in download mode
Instructions
Use either samfirm.js, Frija, or Samloader to download the latest firmware zip of your device directly from Samsung servers.
Unzip the firmware and copy the AP tar file to your device. It is normally named as AP_A750FXX.tar.md5
Install Zarchiver from the Play Store.
Click on AP file and rename AP_A750FXX.tar.md5 to AP_A750FXX.tar
Once you have renamed AP file click and again you will be given the option to extract. Once extracted, locate boot.img.lz4
Then extract boot.img.lz4 leaving you with boot.img
Install Magisk manager and launch it.
Use Magisk Manager to patch boot.img, once patched locate magisk_patched.img and rename it into boot.img
Return to Zarchiver and locate the patched boot.img and compress to boot.tar
Move compressed boot.tar to your computer and rename to boot.img.tar
Reboot to download mode. Open Odin on your PC, and flash boot.img.tar in AP slot.
Once odin says pass, your device will boot to stock recovery and you will have to do a factory reset.
After device boots go through the initial setup and connect the device to Internet during the setup.
Enable developer options in settings, and confirm that the OEM unlocking option exists and is grayed out.
Reinstall Magisk manager and follow all prompts.
Congatulations! Your phone is now rooted.
Hello! Thank you for this guide. I followed all the steps, but after flashing and reinstalling Magisk, it doesn't ask me for additional setup. Do you have any advice?
