Hi, as for Epic and social media I´d say the difference might be barely noticeable, if any. Regarding the camera, It´s said to be better. But I find it a lot nicer and more compact, check here https://www.phonearena.com/phones/size/Huawei-Mate-10-Pro,Huawei-P30/phones/10662,11098
I think Amazon Spain´s €599 deal(€495+tax) for the P30 can help taking the decision.

So I want to buy the Huawei P8 Max but I am concerned about the EMUI or wether theme/OS they are using not supporting the themes I really like.
The P8 Max is barely available in the Netherlands so I have to buy it off eBay and then have to find out how to install stock Android on it.
Anyway, could anyone of you try the themes by DualBoot Games? They are on Google Play store to download.
I can't place a link for now but you can typ in Google, DualBoot games and see right the Google Play store developer link.
Kind regards
Yeah it works, but why a moving screen? It only cost battery life

Thanks a lot.
Regarding the battery life, actually not. I have optimized it and still have it on really nice quality and my Samsung GS5 can last up to 2 a 3 days.
There is almost no difference in with and without the moving themes. And I use the Christmas HD btw, awesome theme
I sold my GS5 to my brother so I can save up for the P8 Max. Do you think it is a downgrade or are they on pair or is the P8 Max better?
i won't try to max out GTA, I just want a bigger screensize to watch movies/series and also TV app. (Telfort Online app)
Do you also know why the P8 Max is not officially in Holland?
The P8 Max is realy great and a keeper. Maybe in the future check out the Sony Z5 Ultra if it comes out. I have now idea. I got mine from Amazon.es and the box got a Huawei address in Holland, very very strange
Yeah, I found a lot of those with the address from Amsterdam. How and why... Very odd.
And I do not want any smartphone from Sony due their PS Vita BS. I truley regret buying their complete worthless device, ever.
So only the P8 Max got my interest.
Would it be possible to implement these new photo editing features that the new P40 Pro brings for the Mate 30 Pro ???
Maybe by a OTA update ??? EMUI 10.1 ???
i dont think so. its the new phone feature, if they bring it to old phone, thats will make the new phone less special.
BUT sometimes developers succeed on porting that app to another phone, so just hope a brilliant dev shows up for that lol
I have the P40 Pro in my hands but those features are missing from the camera app. Only remove reflection is there. Maybe they will come at a later update.

i doubt that. i've compared camera app of mate 30 pro and p30 pro which is its predecessor, and mate 30 pro still lack alot of p30 pro camera features. from what i know, P series focus on camera and camera app, and mate focus on other things, such as user experience, ease of use, etc
Hi, I'm searching for a new phone. And I'm Huawei fan. But I need to get more about this
I need to know how it's the sound quality at recording at parties with bassie music. I experienced a terrible problem with that at my Huawei p20 pro, while Huawei p8 was good ( for that time). Someone knows anything about it? I will be very thankfull , I just dont want to spend my money again on a thing that wont be good for me
Thank you
Hey ive been using a p40 pro for around 3/4 weeks and I mean the audio in recording is perfect on playback itll be hard to give you the wow factor in a forum but I mean ive been using it and its awesome, there is a guy on youtube called the tech chap and he does a review using the device and parts of the review are filmed on a p40 pro maybe worth a watch
Hi, I wanted to know if someone has tested if casting works when you install google apps on the phone

Thanks! How are you satisfied with your p40 pro? I am looking to upgrade between it and the galaxy s20+ so if you could give any feedback..mostly looking at the best camera on one of those two, as far as I've seen both received plenty of updates over the last few months that made most of the reviews obsolete so
If it's not too expensive compared to the 2, go for Mate 40 pro ...

Unfortunately yes, it is. The p40 pro and s20/s20+ have a 50% discount on my carrier currently so I'm limited to those. I wouldn't take them if it weren't for the pretty good deal.
And does netflix work normally? I've read that netflix doesn't support hd resolution on the huawei devices, is that issue gone with installing google apps? Anything else not maybe not working?

It works although you may not find it in the Google Play Store. I installed mine through the Aurora store. How can you tell if it's not playing back in HD? It looks crisp and clear on my phone., not blocky or pixellated.
Can someone please help clarify if the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G(Indian variant) supports playing videos of higher resolution in YouTube or natively using VLC/MX player.
I read in one XDA thread and an YouTube video that it does not.
So wanted to know if using MIUI EU Rom or some alternate ways if this is achievable.
Note: Currently I am planning to buy this device for mostly daily usage like web surfing, watching YouTube/downloaded videos, streaming games from desktop etc. Else I would wait for Redmi K50i.
This device cannot play anything above 1080p. As long as whatever content is at that or below you'll be fine. If its above it or even HDR you cannot. Its one of the main criticisms I have of this thing.
