mine is C432 L29 in FF only appears at L09 but there is already the L29 C432 on this site but it is paid

Guys I need your support...
I am on MHA-L29 8.0.0.379(C432) and do not get any automated OTA.....therefore I downloaded the version given in this threat, but my phone is refusing to update.
As descriped in the downloaded file I copied the Dload folder into the root directory of the SD-card (containing MHA-L29_Hw_eu and update_sd.zip as given in the word document), but no success with updating. In the past it was the UPDAT.APP required, but even extracting it and placing it in the DLoad folder dosen't help.
Could you pls advice on how to get my MAte 9 updated.

Same happening to me. MHA-L29 9.0.1.158(C432) was available last week via OTA but not anymore.

Thx mate for your support...unfortunately same issue, aborting after 3%....was there any earlier Pie version issued OTA that might be required? Maybe Oreo Version 379 is not the right source to update from....

What I had - CL00 blocked China Telecom
What did you do:
1. Replace oeminfo file
2. edited custom.bin in ../data
3. edited build.prop in ../system/
in line ro.build.display.id = - prescribed first line of the file with the firmware verlist.img which passed
4. disabled SuperSU
5. regained stock recovery from the current firmware
6. cd to the folder in dload update.app put on the new firmware
7. Turn off the phone
8. Disconnect your phone from usb
9. Volume button (+) + (-) and turn on the power
Run the installer firmware
After rebooting the phone included as AL10
operate both SIM cards
Powered 3G and 4G
Set 156 update via WiFi
Now I'm waiting oeminfo L29 to go to a European location

My CL00 also became looking like AL10.
Now, this AL10a(over CL00) can not catch 4G LTE but only 3G.
Also, there still pop-up "China Telecom" restriction when I put some sort of SIM (Japanese carrier "au")...
Otherwise, I can use AL10a quite nicely.

Installation I used the firmware NXT-AL10C00B129SP02
Immediately after the launch of the phone have been updated on the WiFi version to 158
My phone does not work with all 4G operators
Megafon 4G works.
Beeline does not work.
Perhaps firmware for AL10 has restrictions on what that frequency.
We need to try to change the region to EU, but so far nobody has shared oeminfo from L29

Hello,
From what I understand I can change my model by replacing my oeminfo with the same file from another model (for example the file provided here)?
I am not able to find that file on my device though, I'm using "Root Browser" and my "dev" folder seems to be empty thus I'm not able to find my oeminfo ( /dev/block/platform/hi-mci.0/by-name/).
Can you help please?

I've unlocked my bootloader (when I'm bootloader mode it says "unlocked"), however when I load up the phone I get "permissions denied" when trying to browse the dev directory. Doesn't work with "adb" as well.
When i try "adb shell" in bootloader mode I get "device not found".
Can I replace the file with "fastboot update"?

Yeam you still need to root your phone. twrp then root it. Italian knife decent tool.

OK, I rooted and replaced my oeminfo with the one linked here. However the phone now only loads into TWRP, it no longer loads the system OS.

allright ill do it today (in 4hrs). and load it up!
Now I am on NXT-L29C636B563 and my bootloader is locked....recently a new version which is B585 has come to the Firmware Finder.... I downloaded it using FF proxy.. the size is about 2.15 GB.....but whenever it install it says "the download package doesn't exist.please download the package again" I tried most but can't install.why this occurs? and how can I install it? plz helppp.......
You need to put the update.app file to the dload folder.
If this is not the case, it keeps telling you "file not found"

did u erase vendor, product too ??
if u did- u need huawei update extractor which is mentioned in above link(I personally didn't try this tool - so can't comment on that)
i don't have same model number but this following method works most probably if u haven't messed so much or didn't clear vendor or product
extract one of the large file which u downloaded(probably around 1.5gigs) and place d extracted files in 'dload' folder on sd card
hold 3 buttons at a same time- may be it starts installing
@shashank1320 could guide u in more exact direction.

Every folder fails to install. Should i try a newer update? It goes to 5% and then says install failed.
update got one successful update. Will let you know what happens

I just put up a new post. I am having a minor problem. It seems although my phone is working. I am missing all of the USA apps and am unable to receive OTA updates an other issues. Ive tried flashing updates in a different order but im not getting any positive results.

yes. i have updated it to BLN-L24C567B360 which was also marked as fullota-mf-pv. I was hoping it would change something but as before the two files did nothing to fix the issues.

I was able to get an OTA update and now everything is back to normal. Thanks for all of the help and patience. I was freaking out :victory:

What tool are you using to unpack and re-pack the oeminfo .img file? I am trying to get B150 OTA on my PIC-LX9 device, but it is not detecting the update. I think I'll change to PIC-AL00 and flash the PIC-AL00C00B173 Full-OTA

You need the UPDATE.APP for the boot img.
You can find in Huawei Firmware Finder for your Version,download the Update.zip and unzip,inside is the UPDATE.APP.
Extract UPDATE.APP with Huawei Extractor https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
Copy extracted Boot on your Phone and install Magisk and Patch the File
The patched File save Magisk on internal Memory,copy on your Pc and flash via Fastboot.
Your Bootloader must be unlocked!

Same Problem in 181 ,but in Settings uncheck :
1:Verify header checksum
and
2:Verifiy file checksum
Unchecking the 2 checksum checks you asked me to check opens up the update.app app-ropriately.

I've finally had a moment to sit down and put it all together. Got my latest stock oreo rom rooted. Feel confident I can do PIE if it ever shows up for me in the US. Thanks for the tutorial Letschky.
As luck would have it, PIE update arrived after tweaking up the rooted Oreo. Ready to root PIE, but there is no "ramdisk.img" in my downloaded 9.0.0.181 archive.
Has the name changed for PIE or is it a bad archive?
