Galaxy Not 9 / Android 9 - Wallpaper Scrolling? - General Questions and Answers

I just picked up the Galaxy Note 9 and was looking up wallpaper dimensions. I ran across part of a review posted back in Aug at Note 9 Launch that said the device would support Wallpaper Scrolling on the home screen. More specifically it referred to these wallpapers that were going to be released with the phone that were 2560 x 2560 to allow scrolling wallpaper. Going through every setting and wallpaper I can, and I don't even see the square wallpapers that guy was referring to, let alone anything that'd allow me to apply one of my wallpapers with scrolling effect.
I can't find anything anywhere (not just here) more recent than 2013 (one or two articles/threads from 2015) that explain the Scrolling Wallpaper effect, if it still exists, etc.
Anyone have any info on this? Seems like a pretty straightforward effect that wouldn't be too terribly resource intensive.

[App] [Live wallpaper] Multiple live wallpaper idea

I have all my Widgets categorized it would be cool if we could have a live wallpaper for each page instead of for all pages like if the neural background on one then if you have a media page have it set for one of the media wallpapers and so on. You get the idea so app developers what do you think can it be done.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Having several live wallpapers all running at once would be pretty intensive and likely slow the phone to a crawl. I would, however, love to be able to set a different standard (static) wallpaper on each page or one that spans all screens like it is now except for specific screen which you can kind of layer a different one on top (maintaining the flow of the underlying one).
EDIT: Just did some searching and found that there is one that does what I want! http://www.appbrain.com/app/org.tamanegi.wallpaper.multipicture
Maybe if you contact the developer he could find a way to let you select a live wallpaper when choosing what to show on each screen. Having all static and one live would, presumably, not have too much impact on speed even though you would technically be running a one within another

New to Android...wallpaper question?

New to Android and have a question with the way either Android or the Inspire handles wallpapers.
I have a very extensive wallpaper collection.
I have over 200 wallpapers in the correct resolution of 480X800. When I try and use these wallpapers either Android or the phone wants to crop them.
This cropping totally destroys the look of the wallpaper.
Is this a Android thing or a HTC Inspire thing?
Is there a way to stop this?
Wallpapers should be 960x800 because they scroll left and right on the home screens.

[Request] Proper wallpaper app with auto-margins

Hello.
As you are aware, it is not possible to pick a wallpaper for the One S without having to fill in the left and right fields in the wallpaper picker, whereas only the center field of the actual screen resolution is used. Especially in the Jelly Bean update this is an issue, as that version doesn't even have wallpaper scrolling, therefore having to pick wallpapers with extra margin is a pain in the royal hindbody especially if the image in question isn't widescreen but rather portrait.
Is there an app to fix this behavior, e.g. to either allow for [screen resolution only] wallpaper cropping or an app that allows the same during setup, and automatically adds black borders to the left and right (since these won't be visible given the lack of scrolling wallpaper)?
I use this to apply wallpapers

Or you can change launcher to one that lets you change how you set a wallpaper.

[Q] Explain Hubs & Subhubs to me

I have been reading through many threads about homescreen layouts and wallpapers and lots of posters mention 'hubs' and 'subhubs'. This seems to be a sort of menu structure whereby the home screen has links to one of the subsequent screens. This seems to be to be a great principle to adopt - allowing for a cleaner appearance to the home screen but I haven't a clue what to even use to create it. Anybody willing to explain the basics to me? Do I need a particular launcher or widget set or is it built into Android. I have a transformer infinity running jelly bean.

I'm not really sure but it could be like the screen structure used with many launchers (ADW, Go, Sense, etc; Sense for sure not sure about the others - haven't used them in quite some time) where if you pinch the homescreen then you are presented with all 7 screens as icons centered around the homescreen. I think the homescreen is like the hub and all the other screens are subhubs. From this screen you can select any screen and be taken directly there not having to page or swipe thru multiple screens just to arrive at your target screen. My HTC DINC2 has this structure in its stock Sense Launcher and I've seen it in other lauchers. Regarding wallpapers, each screen can have its own wallpaper on some lauchers.
Seems to be a minimalist approach at doing the same thing but with links to subhubs (other screens) from the hub (homescreen).

Wallpaper Issue?

Soo...
First of all, I've tried applying a 1920x1080 wallpaper, a 4k wallpaper, and a 1440x2560 wallpaper. I've also looked on XDA and other websites and have NOT found a fix.
so, I'm using a 3rd party launcher (any has this issue) and whenever I apply a wallpaper, it zooms in the wallpaper and moves to the right. The only fix I've found so far is to have 3 pages and wallpaper scrolling on, but I want to have 1 page with wallpaper scrolling off.
Can anyone help me? My sister is also having this issue. I'm running OF1 (so is my sister) and don't think I have any OTAs. I'm also non-rooted.
