Strongly & Urgently needed,
Thankyou

Hi,
Did you manage to recover the device?

Yup, luckily I found similar chinese phone firmware, with some modification finally I got the rooted musashi feel again

Cool, congrats. If you have a blog or something about the device, some tips or thoughts, please share.

Sorry, my final backup seems like buried deep in pile of folder..... so many ROM backup I've made during my experiment but I don't which is the working one
rather than waiting me to clone my installed ROM maybe you can start with " SGMSGMS V5 – ROM Android 5.1 " chinese phone
I'd like to share my scatter file but I can't find how to attach file here, I'm sure this file is still origin from first time backup

[ROM] Point Of View Protab 25 with root

Hello everyone!
This is not a very popular tablet, but I wanted to share this if someone wants root on this device. For tablet details go here.
This is not a custom rom, but just a stock rom with root. Since none of the popular tools for rooting didn´t work, I managed to unpack the firmware file and drop the su binary and Superuser.apk in system.img. That´s all. Some more things and tweaks will probably come, when I figure out everything. I´m also working on CWM recovery, so stay tuned.
To flash the rom, just download the archive down there, where you´ll find upgrade tool, usb drivers and PDF instructions to flash the rom.

I could probably do it, but then if you would like to change the volume you would have to go all the way through the settings to do it, so I don´t think this is a very good idea..

Yeah, your english is very bad, but i think I understood..
I´m not an expert in this Android stuff, on the contrary - I´m just starting to learn this, so don´t expect something big from me. I understand Linux very good, and try to use that knowledge on Android, with a lot of Googleing and reading.. Hopefully, I will come up with nice ROM and CWM Recovery soon and won´t brick my tablet.. :laugh:

CWM for Custom ROM?
Do Jelly Bean 4.1 for our device!
Do you have any idea how i can get adb working with win7 x64 on this device? I've tried with the official adb driver included in POV's firmware updates, but they're not detected as a compatible driver by windows. I'd like to help you in creating your next roms and mods. I know linux well enough, and i develop c/c++ and java. pm me if you're interested.

CWM based on this one:
https://www.sites.google.com/site/dutchtabs/clockworkmod-for-rk2918
But no Jelly Bean or any other ROM from scratch, because I´m not a developer.. Maybe sometimes in the future, cause I don´t have necessary knowledge for this yet..

Those drivers don´t work, I´ve tried it too. If I figure it out I´ll let you know.. I´m using Windows only for flashing the firmware, that´s why I´m actually trying to get CWM working on this tablet so I don´t have to use Windows any more..
I´m repeating: I´m not a developer, I´m just using Google and doing some hacking to do my work. I don´t code anything. If you´d like to make a custom ROM from source you´ll have to make it alone, because I don´t know much about it for now.

It would probably not work, because it´s not the same tablet. You could end up with a bricked tablet.
To all of you guys - I´m sorry I´ve been away for a while. I got a job, and had to move to another town, so had no time to hack the tablet any more. I´ll post some usefull instructions and links if some of you want to start to develop for this tablet.

Hello.
I'm very interested in a cyanogenmod for the Bedove X12 too. The stock rom (4.04) is very laggy. I guess is almost impossible to get one because is a chinese unkwnown brand, right? Do you know if there is any compatible out there?
You can root this phone with MTK droid tools, it is easy.
Hi.
Yes, you are right. I found a tool here that easely rooted the phone (compared to HTC Explorer, that it was a very tedious process for a noob like me). But what I would like is to improve the stock room. The thing is that I saw this phone with a custom rom (ICS 4.0.9 I think) in videos and even in the store I bought it (pandawill), but eventually it cames with the original chinese Bedove one, and as I said, it's laggy as hell. Do you know some compatible from other phones working in this one?

Hi I just received my phone. It arrived rooted.
There seems to be a few things stuck in Spanish language though. I wish I could put a custom rom in it to make sure everything is English.
It is a nice phone for the money!

just google for mtk tools.
you also need the drivers.
i think tparkyroot will work as well.
just read stuff first.
i used mtktools and it made the phone slow and trashed camera review.
i then rebooted recovery and wiped.
then all was ok.
this phone rocks!

For me it is just great: it came with Android 4.0.9 'ICS', perfectly perfoming and I've got no complains but the short lasting of the battery (~6~7 h) althought it comes with two.
The only issue is that I haven't figured to root it yet or to find specificly working ROMs (maybe CM or so may do) and that's why I'm here, scrolling down.
Highly recommended, anyway.
I'll keep on it.
====================
Esperanto (International Language):
Por mi, ĝi estas simple bonega: ĝi venis kun Androido 4.0.9 'Glaciaĵa Sandviĉo', funkcianta perfekte kaj mi havas neniun plendon krom tiu, ke la baterio daŭras malmulte (~6~7 horoj) kvankam ĝi venis kun du.
La sola afero estas, ke mi ankoraŭ ne lernis kiel radikigi ĝin aŭ kiel trovi specife funkciantaj ROM-oj (eble CM aŭ iu tiel taŭgus) kaj tial mi estas ĉi tie, legante.
Tute rekomendinda, tamen.
Mi daŭre esploros.

I have it for three weeks now and it's great. The sound using earphones headset isn't really good but nothing you can't solve with equalizers or other apps (I use Google Play Music to play music )
I haven't rooted it yet (I'll need to explore more about it) but I really recommend it.

What has happened is that instead of reading more, I've gotten into the material and as the TV show "I have bundled brown". I put a rom that does not work well, at least the recovery is active.
If someone has the original rom and can do for me a backup to restore my device, I'll thanks very much.

Try booting into your recovery mode and do data/factory reset.
This WILL wipe your contact on you phone and such, but for me it deleted all the chinaware and took litterally ALL the lag away!
hope this helps!!

Can you please explain how it is possible to install this?
I have a stock 4.0.9 Bedove X12, I rooted it, I tried to install this recovery with SP Flash Tools, it prompted me "BROM ERROR : S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTING_FAIL (5054)"
Now I have not access to the CWM recovery, neither to the original recovery. The phone is still working in normal mode.
Is it possible to download original 4.0.9 firmware anywhere?

I modified the the recovery. (modifications are in bold.
The modification was about
ro.secure=1 --> 0
ro.allow.mock.location=1
persist.mtk.aee.aed=on
ro.debuggable=0 --> 1
persist.sys.usb.config=mass_storage,adb
persist.service.acm.enable=0
persist.service.adb.enable=1
persist.service.adb.root=1
And now, the explanation of the CWM installation.
If your phone is rooted, then you can use Mobileuncletools (free of charge and can be downloaded from PlayStore).
And follow the instructions, described here.
You can also see the pictures, attached to the post I linked.
Good luck!
If your phone is not rooted, then you will need to do a more compicated way, via SP Flashtool.
Let's try the first option (Mobileuncletools)

I agree with @nrpetonr, btw what are you doing my friend , you can delete every app or even destroy you android device when you have root access (just a example don't try it). So I don't think we have to delete them from UPDATE.APP

Code:

You must have root access. Good luck

Do these ROMs have the slight but constant micro-stuttering that the stock ROM has?
I guess all these ROMs are loaded with Google's stuff?
With the exception of Play Store I'd like to be free of the Google fleet of useless apps.
It's great that you've been able to port these ROMs. I hope a lot of people use them. I just have different needs! Tx.

Yes, all of them. You can "freeze" or delete unwanted Google apps. Do it manually or try to find scripts which can do this automatically.
Hi, I was thinking to buy this tablet.
Can these ROMs fix the issue of too high brightness even at the lowest level?
If not can you recommend a free application to solve the problem?
Better this or teclast m89 pro? Thanks.

To solved this brightness issue I use the sFilter app or any other blue light filter app.
But to tell the truth, I wouldn't recommend to buy any Teclast tablet. I have a problem where he doesn't accept the installation of Instagram or Facebook app. I saw that many people have the same problem.
Anyone else with this problem or know how to solve?

I added solution, check it and let me know if it works for u
It's possible to change brightness limits manually by editing firmware files, If there's a big problem for u and other users I can change its' range sometime. Just let me know what firmware u are using.
Hello dev!
Are you still working on this device firmware? I bought it this month and not even on official site could find updates for, so I don't know if there is any firmware that I should update before using these that you made...
I'm using Pixel Experience and found it great. But I had problems with the initial setup, which always had trouble trying to recover the configuration of another device. When I checked to set up as a new device it work fine.
I could not open Magisk too, but i wanted to disable it and remove, but always shows error when trying. I'll try MIUI in sequence to see if I can.
Another question: The modified Stock has gapps included? (and can I remove root?)
Thank you so much for your work, I was happy to know that have other firmware for this tablet.
PS.: sorry for the "google translator english", my english is poor. lol

I used the modified rom too and liked a lot, but I couldn't install some apps through the playstore and had problems to remove root (Magisk). So I installed ASUS ROM and it is very stable and everything is working great. I'll leave it and see what happens!
Thanks!

Hello!
1) There is no more firmwares to port for our device. Also I don't know much about modding firmwares, so Pixel was my first successful experiment.
2) Latest official firmware for our device is TOS v2.1 which can be found in appropriative thread here. Seems no more updates will be released for our device.
3) Restoring function is bad idea esp on custom ROM. You should always make clean installation.
4) Custom ROMs can only boot with root access (e.g. Magisk). You cant uninstall it. In other case your device wont boot (Android 7.0 classical issue). P.S Magisk is not like "classic" root, so you can "hide" it for apps that don't work on rooted device.
5) Of course stock ROM includes Gapps. All made changes are listed in topic. Root can'f be removed on any custom ROM (see p.4).

Thank you!
I gave the tablet to my son, the Stock ROM that came on it is'nt good and so I put the ASUS ZenUI ROM. (After testing all others)
I hide Magisk and the ROM is working perfectly.
Thank you so much for the great work.
Happy 2020.

Well ... I have founded a new ROM for this mobile. Based on MIUI 10.2.1
It is posted on russian forum: https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=895159&st=4140#entry90240414
You must update the firmware using TWRP. Remenber to do format and wipes on TWRP before install it.
I have test it on my x650 and it is great. Enviroment is nice and very fast, so it has 1 fault: no NFC control.
Languaje contains english, korean, chinese ... etc , but not spanish.
Good luck.

Why are u so butthurt? I only asked you if the fingerprint scanner works because I use it everyday and i also asked you to create a new thread so that everyone can see your work and eventually 'share their experiences'. You don't have to see it the wrong way

If you see the test pictures of the ROM on the russian web, you can see finger recognition working.
I am in the right way: You only must to see information in links has been gave, but is less work to ask people than read or see information which has been exposed. Actually people is too much lazy ....
Hi, anyone proven it on x657 model?
Still nothing...? Any modified original rom.i want yo get rid of Chinese apps....my phone installs apps with automatic pilot!!! It is too boring...
