I checked a few days ago and it showed no update was available. I checked again on April 22nd and
did receive an update (112MB I believe) with the March security update and a few other fixes. I have the US Retail
version G7 Power purchased from Amazon but not the Amazon edition G7 Power with Alexa. I'm on Verizon.

I am on the european version of g7 power ( RETEU2 channel ) and i asked the question regarding updates on official moto forum. Basically the answer was like a "**** you".
They said its gonna be released when they think its ready, yet im still on december 2018 security patch
Im just waiting for lineage to make a custom ROM for this or something

Same here. The notes on the update were in, I believe, Spanish. Do you know if there's a way to set these to English for the International version? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat. XT1955-2 , Retla channel. Update information is in spanish.
However, it fails when applying the update at 3%. Is this because I'm rooted? If so, what's the update procedure for a rooted device, flash stock, update, re-root? God, wish we had some development going on for this phone!

My update worked. It also brought in the WiFi calling function, not there previously.

Really, and you're rooted? I'm not sure if a security patch is worth going through the process of factory resetting the phone, re-rooting, and setting everything up again :crying:

when we have twrp for the device we will have some dedicated development love from lineage .someone who can build a lineage rom will need to do so for this one as its one of the more popular moto g7 for that big battery.

You already have this update. It's just a different build number. This is the June security update for Amazon prime phones.
Hey all - I'm rooted and unlocked and for the past two weeks or so my phone has been bugging me to upgrade about every hour or so. I'm on NPJ25.93-14-4 and the new version it wants me to install is NPJ25.93-14.5. Am I OK to take the OTA update? Or should I do it a different way since I'm rooted and unlocked?

You can't make this ota update since you have a non stock recovery. You need to revert back to stock recovery else the device goes into bootloop. What's your device version XT....?
Gotcha - I wondered as much. Mine is an XT1644 - is there a way for me to get the update so the dumb thing will quit asking me to upgrade? Maybe the June update thread?

Yup, you'll have to reflash/boot TWRP, then flash ElementalX 1.04, then flash SuperSU/magisk/your root manager of choice to get your root access back. You may wish to take a TWRP backup before you flash ElementalX/root to have a backup to fall back to.

The simple answer is no and probably never, most likely end up "trebilizing" the ROM using something like CLT (capire le treble). We're not near that either though.

Now a days Motorola is very selfish dealings. They sold the devices with updates promise and then lastly forget it. older devices are updated to May Patch. Indirectly you have to buy a new phone with updated OS

My wife got one last week. I don't have details, but it may have been Verizon specific (based on SIM)
Yes, I received an update about a month ago with the March 2019 security patch. I haven't noticed any other changes.
There is another one available but only in lolinet Firmware. This is the version "RETUS_9.0_PPO29.114-108" I don't know if it was pulled or something but any info about it is nowhere to be found. You can Google Search that build version and nothing will come up. I downloaded already but haven't installed yet on my device to see if its a new security patch, it has to be because at this moment we are at March 1 Security Patch and it June.
Okay I updated using the latest firmware available and it's the May 1 Security Update. All is smooth as butter.

I tried the upgrade option in LMSA, PPFS29.105-75-4 is the latest available.
Thank you for the link; I installed LMSA and the December 2019 patch was the latest for z4 retail unlock phone.
Motorola isn't showing us Z4 users a very well or warm welcome when it comes to security updates lately.

I learnt that lesson with AT&T. I purchased AT&T specific Moto Z2 force from Lenovo and used it for a couple years. I love the phone. When I switched over to T-Mobile last Christmas, I had hard time to make call and to receive call due to different GSM frequencies used by AT&T. I could only use data to make call via WhatApps. Also, AT&T disabled WiFi calling in my Moto Z2 Force, so that was really bad. I could not get a non carrier specific Moto Z2 Force anymore. That's why I bought Z4 and non-carrier specific. It works for AT&T and T-Mobile without any problem + WiFi calling too !

Does anyone have the android 10 official version installed on the moto G7 Power aready,I read that it is available for this phone since the May 9th,but again I don't see any mention of it anywhere on the forum.

Not in the us far as I know and thought it is still in soak testing
It was offially released two days ago in Brazil. As of now, no downloadable ota file o factory image is found
Still no sign of the android 10 for our G7 phone,and no mention either,a little bit on the strange side.....

From what I understand the ota for android 10 for moto g7 power has started to roll out in europe and the update doesn't go to everyone's devices... ? There's like 8 or 9 different models of the Moto G7 power. But I saw on the telegram group last week a few guys posted screenshots and they had recieved the ota. Haven't heard anything since but that's information I gathered while reading over on moto g7 power telegram group recently.

I just got the update full-screen notification a few minutes ago, RETBR. I gotta wait until someone uploads to lolinet though, my phone can't install updates.

Is there a way I can download/find the flashable ZIP on my phone/PC from Motorola? I've been getting notifications for quite some time, but since my phone's been through "a lot" I haven't been able to install updates outside of fastboot for some months

Yeah, saw info about Android 10 in specific regions (Brasil for example) but not in global area . This seems early stage. Well it seems you have to wait some time. Wish You it will be short time
