Need original recovery image if anyone can provide - Moto G7 Power Questions & Answers

Hello,
I managed to root my phone by patching stock boot.img with magisk manager. I then tried to install TWRP to recovery but forgot to backup the original first. The TWRP i installed was only tested on G7 not G7 Power and now my recovery partition is broken. If anyone with rooted phone can make a backup of recovery and send to me I would really appreciate it. If you have problems rooting your G7 Power I can let you know the steps I took.
Thanks!

I'm considering rooting my phone. It's RETEU version. Can you make some kind of short guide for rooting G7 Power?

Hello,
I'm in a (probably) similar situation, I tried to root my phone, now it is stuck. Maybe the solution is to "Reflash a stock boot.img", but I don't know how. My phone software channel is RETEU and the model xt1955-4.
I found this post which solved my problem: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g7-power/how-to/guide-moto-g7-power-supra-flash-to-t3927138

Rooting by fastboot boot recovery.img

I have a Moto G 3rd Gen. XT1550 on 6.0.1 and I want to root my phone. After reading a lot about rooting on the internet, I was thinking if it was possible to root by temporary loading the recovery by the fastboot command "fastboot boot recovery.img" so that I wouldn't lose the stock recovery. Someone please tell if this can be done. If not how can I revert back to the stock recovery after flashing TWRP?
Thank You!

That is how I rooted my phone. I still have stock recovery installed. I recommend you make a TWRP back up before flashing SuperSU.

Probably a good choice. I kept stock recovery thinking there would be OTA updates even though I was not sure if updates could be applied after unrooting. Looking back and considering no updates have come yet (its been 8 months), I should have flashed TWRP.

Hi, I got a BLU Studio J1. I am sorry for the newbie question. I am looking to root this device. No intention on installing any custom ROM, I only need root. Can you point me out which files (if available) would I need to do so? Thank you!

You have the BLU Studio J1 - S050Q - MT6570 - Android 6.0 Marshmallow - 512RAM - 8GB ROM.
So my question can be funny. But need.
You searched any custom recovery for your device before asking here?
If yes: So you have 2 ways. 1) Got to link and the guys create one to you => TWRP Builder
Read all thread!!
2) send me 3 files from stock ROM (same build version ROM of your device): recovery.img - boot.img - scatter....txt
If you don't have stock ROM, so I can't help!!
You need know about tool process to flash files.
READ this!!
About TWRP question:
1- is need anyone with experience (or courage to do) to flash stock files with SPFT.
IYou can able to do a backup stock ROM with SPFT if build version ROM is different from firmware. Then you will be able to flash the test file.
2- is need know if need unlock bootloader or not.
The first moment NO UNLOCK! If the file test not boot so is need Unlock to know if work file test.
3- I not need phone in my hands. But is very easy and fast solving issues when have its.
Because is more easy to repair phone if anything wrong happens. So the risk and responsability is of the user!!

Okay. Lets go by part. I have not looked/found any custom recovery for this device yet. If I am correct, getting a custom recovery for my device/build would allow me to initiate or start the process or rooting the phone? right?

I have some experience with flashing devices, and I am aware of some of its basic principles and what It means. I am willing do it myself and take the risk, given I wont need get or purchase extra hardware for it. I assume with SPFT is some sort of tool that I can use to extract my current ROM build and flash?

With Custom recovery you can flash SuperSu or Magisk to have Root. Marshmallow ROM has the part that no good to Root with apps (in first released. But can have modified.).
So You can try some apps or software to have Root like kingroot (I don't like that but...). Search in xda!
Stock ROM: click in the link first post have Source Code going to thread with firmware and SEARCH if exist.
On that can have recovery.img file.
If not: send me PM and I show for you.
Your MT6570 can have difficulty or easy. All depend of your knowledge, courage and attempts!
Obviously, with security is better!!

i Have a Blu S1 (Blu R1 HD 2018) rooted with magisk and i did a working TWPR ported from Doogee Y6, but my problem is that when i boot in TWPR it ask for a patron to decrypt data. I draw the patron but it fail to decrypt (can use normaly) and internal storage shows 0MB.
Recovery shows a partition called /System Image" with 2650Mb and /Data with around 12Gb
Any way to fix this issue?
Edit: I did a factory reset. Now the internal storage is fixed and TWPR dont ask for decryp data. But the Wipe Data delete the files in internal storage

You have the BLU S1 - S0320WW - MT6750 - Android 7.0 Nougat - 2 GB RAM - 16GB ROM.
For TWRP 3.2.x (either the kernel with Marshmallow or Nougat) it is necessary to perform a data reset (WIPE - FORMAT DATA) part so that the TWRP recognizes the data structure in the phone. This is required for TWRP to also see internal storage.
For people who do not know, there is currently a patch.zip called disable_encryption (forceencrypt=> encryptable). But it should be done particularly for an MT6750 with Android 7 or someone else making one for /or you do yourself.
With the option made in FORMAT DATA the device will start the ROM as factory.
That's why I always write something that people should know about like the attacked image.
Obviously, after installing TWRP you could use a MicroSD to back up your data. But, since you have already reset ....
Regarding partitions do you need to know, compare and confirm if the TWRP coming from the donor has the same partitioning structure as your phone.
If everything works out well, congratulations and good luck! :fingers-crossed:
@lopestom intentionally i reset factory to remove the data encryption and it worked. TWRP shows all the partitions with the available space.
What I want is to be able to do in the future, to clean Data without removing files from internal storage (music, pics)
Could that be possible?
I compared the partition table of both and they are the same.
The difference between the devices more than everything, is in ram and storage.
Hace the same mt6750

Well. If you or other user installing TWRP in first time so yes, need FORMAT Data. But installing universal disable encrypt patch and Root so I think the users no lost internal storage. Obviously if TWRP look internal storage after install that files....
If no, so need FORMAT Data. In this case that's need only in first install TWRP. After that no need same process....
Two ways for no lost files: 1) put files in the Microsd. 2) in each period you can copy files to your PC or host/server like google photos, drive, etc...

You can try the KingRoot option from here. It worked on my Blu Studio One Plus. It says 2018 but its updated 2019 in the actual post. But in reality, nothing probably changed from the previous year to this year

Hello lopestom, thank you for the TWRP for the Blu Studio One Plus. I tried getting the file from Android File Host but it kept telling me that access was denied to me there. Luckily I found it here.
I am hoping you can help me as I now want to use TWRP and magisk to root my device instead of the kingroot that I used previously.
Can you upload the stock boot.img for the Blu Studio One Plus? I'm trying to flash the stock firmware once more onto the device so It can hopefully fix some problems I'm having. After removing kingroot, it's being pesky and not letting me fully remove root and is at times stuck in a bootloop or not wanting to boot properly at all.
I'm able to access factory mode, standard recovery mode, and go into fastboot. But I'm afraid to create my own boot.img from it's current state, fearing the current problems will persist. The latest firmware I have is BLU_S0130UU_V14_GENERIC
Thank you for any help you can provide.

T-Mobile IN2017 Root Method?

All of the similar threads just end after a few replies (I think because people didn't have unlocked bootloaders) so I thought I'd try to ask again. I have a T-Mo OP8 (IN2017) on 10.5.22IN55CB. I already have the bootloader unlocked. But all of the root methods I can find need a payload.bin from the stock firmware, and I can't seem to find that. Is there another method or a source for branded firmware? I wasn't sure if I could do it by just booting the TWRP found on this board without flashing the recovery.
TIA.

I booted into TWRP and took a backup of the device. I then transferred the backup to my local PC and took the boot file from the backup, renaming the extension to .img. I then put this boot image on my device and downloaded magisk manager and set magisk manager to install magisk by patching a file. Once completed, I downloaded the patched file to my PC and booted to fastboot. While in fastboot, I flashed the magisk_patched boot image to both boot slots (boot_a, and boot_b). Upon rebooting, I had root. One thing, as soon as you have root, I recommend taking an image of your persist file (for fingerprint) to prevent any issues if the persist partition gets corrupted on your device. Search the forum for instructions on how to do this.
Cheers,
B.D.
You literally don't have to do anything special. Boot TWRP, flash Magisk zip in TWRP, reboot. Done.

I should state one thing that I didn't in my original post. Booting TWRP and flashing that way ONLY works if you are still running Android 10. Since you have a T-Mobile variant, I knew this was a non-issue (we STILL don't have official A11). For those running Android 11, you do have to patch the boot image and flash it like stated above. Also note that this will likely change if we get TWRP on A11. Once we have that working, flashing Magisk from it should work fine.

Following up on this just in case you know anything new. My IN2017 just updated to A11 without any action on my part, and I lost root. Is there a TWRP or patched boot img that you know of for us on TMo now?
There is no working twrp for us on Android 11. I also haven't seen a patched boot image of 11.0.1.3.IN55CB around yet. I have that firmware extracted on my laptop so I could grab the boot image and patch it for you, but I won't be able to do that until later tomorrow. If no one else has it out or if you don't find it before I can get to it, I'll post it up.
Edit: Here's the patched boot image: Magisk Patched Boot IMG TMO 11.0.1.3

In order to flash the correct one, i need to transfer it to the device and use magisk.
The problem is that the device stuck in boot loop so i can't do that.
That's why i asked if someone has already patched Europe version to share with me or any other option for me to fix it
Here is a collection of stock boot images (if you don't trust them, just extract it using a payload dumper from the ota zip that can be found in other threads)

Download the stock boot image of all OxygenOS versions for the OnePlus 8T. Also learn how to flash a boot image on OnePlus 8T using Fastboot and TWRP.

There is no other tool or method that will resolve your issue.
If you follow the instructions correctly it will work.
If you are confused on the instruction I suggest searching youtube and you will find many videos that will walk you through the process.

Sir, If you have patched magisk boot.img and blank vbmeta.img files on your pc used previously for rooting this device, this will save you your precious time.
Flash the files to their appropriate partitions, the device will overwrite the partitions and boot back with root access.
If you have updated the device after root and flashed magisk to inactive slot for saving root access after OTA the above method won't work.
Installed official version.
But i need twrp for this device.
Any one installed??
Sir, TWRP image available for this device is experimental, unstable and buggy.
There is a problem that occurs when you flash twrp if you are rooted.
After flashing the device bootloops into TWRP and won't boot into system OS even if it's forced to reboot.
Even without root if flashed, twrp cant flash or wipe any data.
On the screen the errors are shown in red.[failed to mount ' / ' ](Invalid Argument)
Let's wait until a stable image is available for this device in the near future.
Thank you .
I want pixel experience on nord ce 2 lte
If any one installed . Please guide me
...pixel experience doesn't work on Nord 2 CE devices ...none of the functions are compatible with this device ...I tried more than one configurations by myself ...the few things you can get working, like Contacts App or Messages App, you can manually download and install from APKmirror or other sources ...no need to "module" these little things
...I would like to change the boot animation, for example ...but to be honest, how often and how long do you see the boot up screen???
i again damaged the os.
This time every thing not working.
it boot loops to fastboot.
Any help ?? @DerDoktore
Is there any msmtool for nord ce 2 lte
...Bootloop to fastboot???? ...that is new to me ...I know the "system damaged" Screen and a traditional Bootloop ...does it "break" the loop at fastboot??? ...or do you see half a second the fastboot screen and restart and again???
