after bootloader unlock, it begins everything

Realme hasn't yet unlocked BOOTLOADER
Ask them to do so and also ask them to enable Camera2api by default for those who don't wanna root their phones

Question regarding gcam
Does gcam mod work on sd450 devices. One person told that there is no gcam mod for sd400 series. Help me.SiR

Working fine except the 48mp shots are too small in size as compared to stock miui. Is that ok?? And thanks for porting this...

Working great... although some weird vertical stripes when using slo mo(like the shutter is opening and closing)...

This is great.. only thing that was having me contemplate going back to miui.

How's the photo quality compared to stock miui? I want to go custom rom but gcam is still a bit unstable, and the 48mp mode of stock miui cam works great for me. If anyone could post sample shots, it would definitely help a lot. Thanks!

U have to disable device watermark before clicking night mode /48mp shots

[Updated] Gcam with Playground for Realme 5 Pro

GCam and Playground for Realme 5 Pro
I started the project thinking if I could run Gcam on Realme 5 Pro which does not have Bootloader unlocking yet.
Then I searched around the internet to find the suitable one for our device. At last I found it( thanks to @Arnova8G2 and BSG) but there are some hiccups.
The camera does work with the cost of lower resolution and not able to use certain feature.
I had to fiddle around with settings to get it working correctly.
Current Bugs are as follows:
Lens bur doesn't save the file.(Crashes after taking Pictures!!)
Slowmotion (Crashes the app!!)
Saturation isn't good as whenever I try to change the saturation for different scenes, it displays the color either saturated or dull in different scenarios.(I think it's Fixed.)
Photobooth doesn't work(Removed)
Max resolution of Rear Camera is 9.0 MP(Increased to 12.0 MP:good
Max resolution of Front Camera is 4.0 MP(The Same as before.)
Installation Process
1. Install GCam.apk
2. Install Google Play Services for AR Core.apk
3. Install Playground.apk
4.Install the Stickers you like.
5. Enjoy.
These are the settings I used to get the most of the GCam:
1. Navigate to Settings and open “BSG MOD Settings”.
2. Enable “Enhanced HDR+ in portrait mode”.
3. Open “Saturation”, change the Highlight and Shadow Saturation to 1.8 and 2.4 for the Back camera. Change the Highlight and Shadow Saturation to 1.2 and 1.8 for the Front camera.

There are both no fix buff and normal one, which one to download

I have not tried nofix, so the other one to be precise.

No. I'm just a Tech geek who tries to unlock bootloader, root, install custom rom, kernel, in app billing and proxy for his device to reach maximum performance that the hardware can support. I don't develop anything though.

Sorry. Now I see this is what you were talking about.

gcam app not installing on my device
via your link i installed gcam app on my device realme 5 pro. but whenever i want to install, it is not installing.

First ensure, there are no other/old versions of Gcam already installed in phone (though some versions allow you to install multiple gcams). Remove older versions and install the new one.

There is a purple tint in all the photos....

when i installed it it shows application not installed
please suggest me a better option...

Uninstall any gcam version you might have earlier installed then install the 7.0 version. It will work.

Solution:
Go to gcam app info, select storage usage and then select clear data.
FYI:
none of the gcam ports slow motion works.
Edit: sorry, just realised, not my post.

its worked, ty, clearing data fixed the crash at start.
yeah i have seen anothe topic with v 7.x gcam and still crash on slow mo
any way hope will be fixed by devs.

The shutter button hangs for me after trying to take a picture no matter if hdr is on or off. I think it's either working only on global rom or Indian variant of 8a. I'm not sure how to tell which variant u have unless u bought it there locally. I'm currently on EU rom instead of global but the model my 8a is global version with more bands since I ordered it online. Also I think gcam is supposed to work if these are showing but it doesn't for some reason

After testing multiple GCAMs and performing multiple tests. The only cameras that i found compatible are: Camera Go, GCAM version 3 and some versions 4. Also a version 5 but without HDR +.
The rest of GCAM does not work on Redmi 8A.

When i try to use lens blur for selfie the app crashes.
How can i take portrait selfie?
Do i have to make 64 bit os for taking portrait selfies?
And another thing is cyanogenmods website suggests arnova gcam 6.1.021 but doesn’t install in my phone.

lens blur is very bad in stock 32bit rom
you can use gcam 6.x if you install 64bit miui

64bit gcam link plz

I've found this port of gcam for redmi 8a. Everything works except for the front camera. If you want front camera to work you need to enable hdr+ for front cam in settings which will break the main camera. Also there is a button for night sight. It is very reliable.

If you installed miui 12 and the photo quality is very bad, this port is a real lifesaver! Unrelated but is it just me or does miui 12.0.1 update destroy the camera quality?

It was working before I installed custom rom (64 bit) in my phone.
It just doesn't show any image after opening.
Please help me this gcam was the best one I had and I don't want to go back to miui to run this

GCam not support this device, because a51 suppert only Camera2 API Level_Limited, need API Full or API Level_3 for normal work GCam
just forget, a stock camera will be much better

I can highly recommend you my gcam for a51: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a51/themes/google-camera-gcam-galaxy-a51-t4165437 but it doesnt have astro mode, just use night mode of stock camera
