Easiest way is to re-flash firmware or the AP part of the same firmware you have on your device via Odin.

I have the Alcatel Idol 4s 6055u, I don't think I can use odin with this phone. It requires sugar qtc, I believe.

Sorry my mistake. To uninstall TWRP requires flashing of a new recovery image ( stock or custom ). Since I am not familiar with your device flashing firmware would be the easiest to do. Just make a backup of your apps and data first.

[Guide][Receive OTA after root][keep apps/data][GT-I9500][5.0.1]

a lot of users are having this problem and if you want to receive an OTA you have to flash the stock unrooted firmware that will cause lose of data.
this guide will show you how to receive OTA again without losing your stuff
This works on GT-I9500 ONLY! (Lollipop 5.0.1 Recovery)
This also should work on any other model, but you have to replace the recovery with your model!
Steps:
1- Go to SuperSU and scroll down to "Full unroot" then reboot.
2- Download This file to PC and extract it.
3- Go to download mode by pressing the power key + home key + volume down key at the same time, then press volume up.
4- Flash the file via Odin (AP) or (PDA)
go to check the system status, you will find it Official
you can now receive OTA.
Q&A:
What is OTA (Over The Air)? Its an update which you can receive over wifi or mobile data.
What do i get from OTA? Well, if you root your device you wont be able to receive an update again, unless from flashing firmware via Odin.
- Why im still on custom status? Because you modified your system.
- What kind of modifying? Installing busybox, editing or deleting or changing any app or file system.
and some times xposed.
- How do i restore the old app? You can restore them by flashing firmware or by restoring Nandroid backup.
- Then what is the use of your guide? Well my guide helps in first place the rooted not the modded onces.
and always do Nandroid of the original system apps+data
you are still having your apps, data, pics, vids, etc...
you can root again at anytime.
check my thread for rooting if you want
im not responsible for any bricks
thank you...

Hi there,

Just a thought.

At some point the update maybe canceled, because the update checks for the apps before the installation, always do a backup of your phone then remove what you want, after you want to update just restore the system folder from the backup

If you can see the stock recovery then check the SuperSU app again and maybe you are having a custom kernel

So i need to unroot it as well ? Anyway flashed via odin original stock russian lollipop rom just to check for any update and the flashed twrp and rooted it back. Just that it takes 10 mins or more to do all this. Thought your small flash file would work .

How do I root with stock 5.1??

I've tried flashing twrp with odin and it doesn't work. I get errors like 0success/0fail. How do I root after upgrading my firmware to lollipop? The other threads on this haven't helped me. Also, when I try to use odin to flash the recovery files then reboot it says there were firmware issues and then I have to reflash the stock firmware from Samsung again to get the tablet to boot. This makes me think maybe you can't root lollipop on the note 10.1 yet?? Any help will be appreciated.
Update recovery to latest version and flash SuperSU.zip
So flash recovery via odin then use twrp to flash SuperSU?

yes i don't know how to flash a zip without a custom recovery. I've tried flashing supersu, and two different roms made for rooting lolipop on the note and everything i flash involving root makes it bootloop.

Similar Situation
I also have a Galaxy Note 10.1 (from USCellular) and I rooted it using Framaroot, which I downloaded onto my tablet from the Google play store. Before using Framaroot, I tried "CA_Autoroot" but it did not have the specific ".tar.md5" file for my device-- I saw the same message that you saw (0 success 0 fail).
I don't know much beyond this. I did install CPU-Z and Titanium backup, two utilities I have found to be useful.
I figured it out. I was using a rom for the wrong note....

Assuming that you at least have stock os on the device you can install Samsung Kies on a pc, plug the device in and use Kies to restore your os to stock.
Note: This will not hide the fact that you have altered your phone and your warranty will still be invalid.
As I am new to the forum I am unable to post a link so my recommendation is to google "reinstall stock rom kies".
Good Luck.

Where can you find what?
And yes, to flash any type of root zip you need TWRP. I personally prefer MagiskSU.

Well it probably exists somewhere on the internet or here on XDA.
Need Help!
The front facing camera is not recognized by the application such as htc camera app, google camera. I don't know what the problem is, hardware or software related. I did a factory reset. Would be glad if there is a solution. Ps. Is there a utility for PC to diagnose hardware via usb cable?

Deleted the system, no backup.

So long story short, I deleted the system completely and I have no backup. Don't ask how or why because I was stupid. Really stupid. Flashing doesn't work , idk why. Tried it a million times and nothing. I found a thread somewhere where a guy fixed a problem like this when he used someone else's backup to restore the system, so if someone could upload system backup for my A8 (SM-A530F/DS) so I could try to fix it that way I would be really grateful.
Where you rooted do you twrp you can flash with that or use Odin for flashing.

I used the latest version of odin for flashing it fails every time. I've tried everything except using someone else's backup. That's my last hope before replacing the MB (or buying a new phone).

redownload a frsh copy of ther tar.img for your phone from sammobile.com, get a fresh download of Odin as well. I assume that Odin shows your device as COM# in the dialog box when its in download mode and connected via USB?
this is also assuming that your battery hasnt gone completely dead, in which case youll have to either perform surgery on it to remove the battery and put in one that has a charge as it requires at least a bootable recovery to charge the batt
