This is not a morph! Install as you would any non-Market .apk, with Astro, etc.
****************
So, I love using BarControl for putting apps on the Notification Bar, but found the icons available in the app old and tired looking, especially on an N1.
I used the auto-sign program for Market .apk s from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=666441 to rework the app with some 2.1 icons, icons from some of the other apps a lot of us use, as well as Facetwat and some of the other social networking apps you kids are so fond of now adays.
The number of icons I could include was limited to the number of icons available in the stock Market app. The new icons just had to have the same name as the old ones.
Again, this is not a morph nor flash from recovery. Just install the apk with your favorite file manager. Uninstall any previous version of BarControl you have installed. This should work on any Android phone.
Anyway, let me know if it works and what you think. Thanks to St0kes for creating the auto-sign program.
TO MODS: This is a free app in the Market, so I assume I'm not doing anything wrong. If I am, please delete and my apologies.
I use bar control so thanks for the changes.
Holy ****. Thank you for doing this. I've used bar control since it came out, and the dev doesn't seem to be anywhere around. I've dealt with the icons because i love this functionality. this should be built into the OS. Thanks alot!

We're on the same page. You're welcome. When I saw the apk re-signing program this was the first app I thought of to attempt some editing.
Someone pointed out to me that I left off the SMS icon, as well as Calendar and a few more. That plus now that it looks like at least 500 of us are rocking the new Dropbox app, with more to come, forced me to do another version. . Most of it is the same, but I removed almost all the old BarControl Icons and added in SMS, Calendar, Corp Cal, CorpGAL, Google Googles, NavLauncher, and a couple more small edits.
Either version will work just as well. Just pick the one you need.
Originally, I put together these app packs to give extra options to those who use my Universal themes. However since these can be used on their own and are not theme dependent, I figured I would give then their own thread for all of you to enjoy
These theme packs use the VRTheme package to completely alter some of the most commonly modded apps. This will not add apps but simply alter apps that you currently have on your device.
Whiteout contains stock apps exactly as they would appear from the market (except Play Music which had been turned white)
Blackout contains inverted apps by B-boy, Team Blackout and the bear j koss
Xparent contains apps turned transparent by B-boy and Team Blackout
Each pack contains it's version of:
AOSP Email
AOSP Messaging
Dropbox
Flipboard (Xparent uses Inverted version)
Gmail
Google Maps (Xparent uses Inverted version)
Google Play Services (Xparent uses Inverted version)
Google Play Store
Google Plus
Google Talk (Xparent uses Inverted version)
Touchwiz Music Player
In order for the packs to work the apps must be located in your system/app folder and the names must match. I insured a couple versions of each using commonly used names by Rom devs but pleat check beforehand.
Capitalization is important as well
Download your choice
Reboot into recovery
Mount System
Wipe Cache and Dalvik
Install App Pack
Be Patient
Reboot and Enjoy
Names need to match the below
Dropbox.apk
Flipboard.apk
Email.apk
Gmail.apk
Gmail2.apk
GMSCore.apk
GMS_Maps.apk
GoogleMusic.apk
GooglePlus.apk
Maps.apk
Music2.apk
MusicPlayer.apk
Mms.apk
Phonesky.apk
PlusOne.apk
Talk.apk
Talk2.apk
Enjoy!

First.. Sweet
Downloading the black pack now
Update: I'm on clean room with the aosp theme, Dropbox, Gmail, google+ didn't change. Maybe more. Still looking.
Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2.
OK... Not sure what the issue is... Just clear data for Google now and uninstall via TiBU if the voice search is not working for you... I'm gonna pull the packs and take out Google now till I figure out the issue... Sorry for the trouble
App packs are back up minus Google now

Just saw your update... Make sure the names in your system app match one of the names in the op before flashing... Also double check the apps that didn't theme by going into settings/applications.... If you select one and it says Uninstall updates then you need to do that in order to see the themed versions... All the apps in the pack should be up to date so you should be good
BTW these apps need to be in the system/app folder to get themed...

hey, can't have everybody's stuff in one. for all i know you could've asked and he said no. lol didn't know if you had seen any of his stuff. just tossing his name up here for other options. it's great that we have so many great devs with awesome work to choose from.
Thank you very much! It is always great to have droiders like my work. I like blue wayyyy to much to leave anything just black and white lol,,,but that may not appeal to the masses. I always love to see more themers active here, it helps keep the GS3 alive, keep it comin!

Delete. Read op too quick and my answer was right there
Hoping to have an update out tomorrow with updated Google plus, transparent aosp and transparent stock music player
1) Only thing that seemed to stick after the twrp flash was mms - which I personally like the most out of the themed mms's I've used - and gtalk. And I didn't have have gtalk installed before this. Did I need to delete the apps that this pack would be replacing before flashing in recovery??
2) Also, I avoid anything but face to face communication with my friends who have iphones and are so brilliant with their ability to jailbreak - done it for people before but just look at security setting on any android and check 'Unknown Sources' and boom....'jailbroken', why don't you try to unlock the bootloader or port HTC beats to any device or REALLY overclock a device........but I digress - when I do have to actually msg these people they love to do group msg's! Does this messenger have the same problem as most AOSP messenger with viewing cross platform group messagers??

This doesn't replace any apps that you don't already have and it doesn't add any new ones. You probably have other versions of the apps in your data/app folder. Even if the newer version is in your system/app, the phone will read the one from the data/app folder because it this it is gonna be newer...
For the apps that didn't appear to theme, you should go into settings/applications and find those apps... most likely it will have the option to uninstall updates... After you do that, the themed versions will appear...
If it only says Uninstall then that means the apps aren't on the system and that's why they didn't get themed
As for MMS.... yes any bugs that other aosp MMS may have, this will probably have them as well... this uses the aosp by sparkerjc which is also used in beans rom and I think MOAR Rom as well
Links will be down for a bit... Uploading update
Updated App Packs are up
Updated Play Store
Updated Google Plus
Added Transparent AOSP MMS
Added Touchwiz Music Player to all 3 packs
Can you add the calendar next time around. or link me to a zip to inverted calendar.

There is a new app will create FlipFont apps for you from any *.ttf file on your device.
I cannot post links yet but really wanted to share this information...
Search Play with "Font Style Maker for FlipFont" <-- Name of the app.
Either add the fonts to your device's storage and open the app or send them to your email and open the attachment on the phone. This is the easiest way to create FlipFonts from any font found on the internet. No more need to ask others to create flipfonts for you!!
I am really excited to see this app. It will be a huge improvement to the FlipFont users.
For those who don't know...
FlipFont is a "program" embedded in the TouchWiz interface on Samsung Galaxy devices. This app will only work on devices with TouchWiz and the FlipFont capabilities. Good Luck and happy font creating!
app crashes on my s4 mini while searching fonts
I did a little research, for the font to be recognized, it must be digitally sign. Here is how to do that, i will try.

My launcher is a close to AOSP launcher that only changes the necessary code to allow for small extensions and backporting to older Android versions. If you want a more feature packed launcher use Nova, Action or Lawnchair. I focus on simplicity and rock solid stability. If you do not agree with that and would rather have experimental features, you are in the wrong thread.

I am having issues installing this on a Nexus 6P with the latest Android O developer preview installed. Installation progress bar freezes at about the 90% mark and the installation fails. Has anyone been able to successfully install this on a device running the O developer preview?

Ended up wiping and starting fresh with the O developer preview. After doing so, Launcher3 installed without issue. Is there any way to get the Pixel icons working with this? I downloaded the Pixel icons for 7.1.2 from apk mirror, but it doesn't seem to have taken. Thanks.
Working great on LG Aristo, Suggestion: icon pack support.
Please either add pixel icons or icon pack support. Would make this the best launcher ever!!!
Its like dream come true for me... using it on my Galaxy S8... But I have two requests and an issue:
1. could your please support pixel exclusive automatic round icons for supported apps... it is possible as Action Launcher 3 has this feature with Round Icon Option on non rooted phone.
2. Is it possible to overwrite app closing animation like stock android (slide down). this feature is available in Nova Launcher through "Reveal App Animation". I don't like the default zoom out closing app animation of my Galaxy S8.
3. Check the screenshot: the Navigation bar color is muted .. not white .. gray color.. this is related to Poor Samsung design... Nova launcher has fixed the issue... But each and every other 3rd party launcher has same problem.. kindly look into the matter..! Thanks..
[Screenshot of Galaxy S8 muted color navigation bar..!](http://i.imgur.com/NF8JcFh.png)
Thank you.... Much appreciated work...
Thanks for share.. keep the good work continues..
Thank you for ur work but thanks even more for making a thread here on XDA!
Fix status bar
https://github.com/amirzaidi/Launcher3/releases/tag/Pixel-v1.3
- Possibly fixed Samsung's Secure Folder and MIUI from causing crashes
- Updated the requested Google Now overlay version from v0 to v5, like the O Pixel Launcher
- (EXTREMELY EXPERIMENTAL) added an entire library of obfuscated code to get the app shortcut row working
- Added a toggle for the app shortcuts, so you can disable them if they do not work properly
- Force the Pixel colours throughout the app, including the widgets and preferences
There is also a version without the entire app suggestions library in it, if it causes any problems you should try that one.
Anyway to get round icons without needing to change systemui or have root access ?
:good: Lawnchair is amazing!!! Thank you very much!

Google crashes? Oh man, that's a new thing I've never heard before. Only way I can get that to happen is in an emulator with a broken Google app variant. Is your G App up to date?
Hey, thanks a lot for your launcher, looks dope !
Just to let you know it has been featured on the biggest French - Android website today, so your Github might receive a bit more traffic
On a side note : I've tried it on my Galaxy S8, and I was not able to get the weather to show, irregardless of the number of time I've pulled down the cards to refresh google feed.
Do you happen to have an idea on how I could fix it ?
Also on a side-side note, would you implement icon support into it ? As with samsung ROMs we have the ugly looking icons instead of rounded/pixel ones.
Hi guys. I'm a satisfied samsung Tab S7 FE user, but there is one thing that annoys me. Google maps are always having white theme and I can not find any toggle in settings to change it. I have not found any solution yet (reinstalling an app, clearing cache and any data, latest update available installed). From my point of view, it looks like the google maps app does not support dark theme on this tablet. Of course it is not a very big deal, but I think that it should work on almost every device (there is no reason to delete it from settings section). If you have found a solution, please write the answer below. I would really appreciate that.

this is the google guide
try it
On your Android phone 10+ phone, open the Google Maps app .
Tap your profile picture or initial Settings. Theme.
Select one of the following options: Always in light theme: Dark theme is always disabled in Maps, regardless of system settings. ...
Tap Save.
source : google support
As I said, I can't find a toggle to change an app theme. On two of my phones I can change it easily. On the tablet this setting is not listed in settings section.

I think in tablets we can't change it because I have SM-T585 and google maps doesn't allow me to set dark mode theme
