Anyone else experiencing this on Oreo? When I have my earphones plugged in and I receive a call, the sound comes out through the speakers anyways. The same with the notifications ringtone. It's very annoying. I flashed countless mixer_gains.xml and mixer_paths.xml files and nothing happens. Help!

sounds like youre rooted, if so, reflash the tar of your current build and start over. Sounds like a kernel issue

Had this problem on CM7, thought I blew the speaker but once I flashed another ROM the funky sounding ringing went away. Try downloading an equalizer from the market to see if you can change the quality
Where did you download the ringtone from? Do you get the low volume on the factory/stock ringtones?
When I have the headphones plugged in, all notification sounds are still played through the phone speaker. Very annoying. I've seen some other android devices that have this problem, but outside of flashing a new ROM (currently stock), I didn't see any answers.
1. Is anyone else having this issue?
2. What can be done about it?
I'd consider it more of a feature than a problem. I've missed a lot of calls and texts because my phones were plugged in.
But if you don't like it, install a more AOSP-like ROM that doesn't do that.
I searched for this, but didn't find an answer.
I'm running Scott's 8/23 CM10 with inverted gapps. The phone is running great,the only issue I have is when I plug my skull candy headphones in to use for handsfree calling I don't hear a ringtone at all, the phone acts like it's on silent. I've checked the settings and the volume is turned up, if I listen to music I can hear that thru the headphones so I know the jack and headphones are working.
Any ideas? Anyone else have this issue?

That is a common issue for now. It will probably be fixed later on as CM keep updating their source code.

just a question before I might post a bug report to jira:
when I have headphones pluged in and a notification sound plays (f. ex. recieve a SMS, ...), the notification sound is played on the headphones (ok) and like half a second after the notification sounds starts there is noise coming out of the speakers. It is about the same length as the notification.
Have this bug with CM11S XNPH25R and CM11-M9. No modificationes except unlocked bootloader, recovery and root, however, I think I already encountered this when I booted my OPO up for the first time (so no root, ...).
Has anyone else encountered this?

I'm having this issue too since updating to 30O. Notification sounds don't even play the preview on the settings app.
Im having a problem with my phone playing a dot sound everytime i recieve a text message when my headphones are plugged in. It plays through the headphones, pausing the music shortly, and it is really annoying. I have looked everywhere and i cannot find an option to turn it off. Any help would be great

Same here, can not totally mute SMS with BT/headphones connected.
Its extremely annoying i think. A major drawback on this phone.. I use Spotify a lot and i get a shock nearly every time i revieve a sms when i use my headphones...
