question - HTC U12+ Questions & Answers

I was wondering if anyone has run havoc or another AOSP rom and successfully installed the htc camera apk or edge sense features? In other words running a better more battery friendly version of android but still using the HTC benefits.

Why you need htc camera.... if you already on P rom why not go with gcam?

[Q] How do I get Vanilla ICS on HTC Vivid?

Sorry if this question has been asked already, I searched through the related threads and couldn't find an answer:
I have an HTC Vivid running it's pre-installed Android 4.0 with Sense 3.6, but I want to flash a Vanilla ICS Rom (the rom running on the Galaxy Nexus) that doesn't have any proprietary UI crap on it, just the original ICS that's running on the Galaxy Nexus, and works with AT&T. Is there one available, and if so, is there a guide on on XDA where I could aim towards?
Thanks!!
search the android development forum for the vivid to find your rom of choice, then follow the guide below in order to flash it.

[Q] Best ROM?

Hi,
Whats the best rom for you guys and why?
I'm reading allot about Maximus HD, Viper, pacman and CM.
But how do you chose one? Whats the most stable and advanced ROM for the HTC one s?
I saw that viper only has 4.1.1 android but has like 600+ pages in the forum..
Thanks in advance!
Sorry if someone already asked this but the search did not give me a result.
Cyanogen MOD or Odyssey ROM. both running latest Android Version 4.3.x
They are both good ROM's because they do not have Bloatware installed. Less bloatware means more ram and cpu for you to use. Based on my personal experience with both ROMS the battery life is amazing. And both fast and stable too!

Best HTC Stock ROM without Sense!

Hello,
maybe some user who's better with the subject could help me with this:
which HTC Stock based ROM is the best? I don't like / want Sense. Need a slim, fast htc based rom (and it should be flashable with cwm).
I'm currently at cyanogen mod. Thank you for your time and help!

ordered Samsung s7 Exynos version[SHALL I INSTALL CUSTOM ROM]

Hello,
I got a real good deal on the samsung s7 so i took it.
My question to you is, shall is stick to stock os or install a custom rom?
the reason i ask this is cause i was using a redmi note 4 and the custom firmware is kinda buggy, i need to reboot once a while. its running on 8.1.
it has LTE issues, Keyboard issues, apps crash randomly, slows down once a while.
Also, if i root it and install 8.1 on my samsung will the camera quality go down? i have heard this is true? can someone please correct me.
Honestly i want a stable experiance with a good camera, thats all.
Please advice.
Stable & Full camera quality, stick to stock
You need a TouchWiz ROM with stock camera app to get 100% camera quality
Custom ROMs are much more likely to be unstable than stock, but I haven't tried any

I've run a variety of Custom AOSP / AOKP Roms on my S7 - Nougat and Oreo 8.1 - After the latest Samsung Firmware update - I figured that I'd run Stock Rooted for a while - Stock is Definitely more stable than any of the AOSP /AOKP Custom Roms and the Camera is one thing that is constantly being complained about on AOSP / AOKP Roms.... That being said - If you like the idea of Running a Custom Rom & are prepared for some bugs - They can certainly be used as a Daily Driver ??

Hey thanks for the reply guys!
i thought maybe since the device is old someone might have ported a stock quality like camera.
its easy for me to say i guess! im sure its tough. well, i guess i'll install the pixel rootless launcher and keep using this beast! im not much of a heavy user its just whatsapp and instagram chats mostly.
though i'll miss android 8.1. but stability is worth it!
i was thinking how about i install a 8.1 rom+ google camera[ is it stable and better than stock now?]

Nope. If you want camera performance and overall stability, go with touchwiz. 8.1 aosp is in beta rn
Great, I shall wait for a while then
Thank you guys!

Need Faster Rom

Hi all just a few questions as I've not flashed a new Rom or mod in quite some time now
I'm currently using Super Man Rom - V2.8.0 and also running AryaModTweaks which has V4A (Viper4Android) - V2.5.05 inside it.
Just woundering what are the latest and fastest roms available and also what is the best setup for V4A if there is a newer version available. ?????
Cheers In Advance madant2011.

Generally speaking the faster ROM's are the ones that have been stripped back to the bare essentials such as Lineage or similar. It's difficult to say which is the fastest Rom because everyone claims theirs is fastest but it very much depends on what apps you add to your phone. So there is no perfect answer i'm afraid.
