I've been using the AospExtended V6.2 rom and i've noticed that under developer settings, it says my avg. RAM usage has been 2.3gb and I was wandering if it's some setting I messed up. Any help?

im actually not that impressed with the OS. its said to be "Stock android" but there are a lot of errors and bugs all over. getting lag too, its like the OS doesn't know how to put processes in the background or something and just keeps them active and taking CPU cycles from stuff thats in the forground. i find my self killing apps left and right to maintain smooth operation. thats something i haven't had to do since my Droid1 back on 2.1. im not running out of RAM, i almost always have just over 1gb being "used" and its not like i have anything crazy installed on here ether. just games sooo???
hoping for a nice update soon. id like to root and flash custom ROMs but im not voiding the warranty on this thing just yet.
i did a factory reset last night to see if there was in fact a rouge app causing all this but the same stuff is happening with unaltered factory restore software...
this may be related to the problem im having.

[SOLVE]
first go to Settings -> Developer Options -> Apps Tab -> checked Don't keep activities
set brightness to auto
then go to location services -> off access my location
then go to wifi -> advanced Wi-Fi -> keep wi-fi on during sleep -> change to Never
now go to application manager -> Running Tab -> Force stop some apps with extra ram usage like settings
my phone just uses 5% battery in 13hr sleep mode ; ENJOY!
Hello,
I'm running now AICP Rom now since a few weeks. It's my first kitkat rom. Before I had Biftor Rom v14, wich was an ecxellent rom with also lots of customisation.
One of the benefits of Biftor, was it's low battery comsumption.especially when running Juice defender in it.
With kitkat I espected a even better battery life, but I found my battery draining a lit faster. Not a really drain, but 25% loss a day (mostly standbye) is much mord than Biftor Rom.
What I do miss in AICP ROM is the posibility to clear the RAM memory. The consumption is a lot higher than on my previous Rom. And I did not install a lot more apps. Normally i could get to the task manager and clear the ram, but i can't find it in AICP rom.
I do like this rom, it's nice and fast. But still some recomendations:
- the icons in the pulldown menu (wifi, data, bluetooth) are dark grey when they are off, and white/orange when on.
Especially bluetooth is dark grey when it's on. It's hard to see.
Is it possible to change the colors (customize)?
- the option to clear the ram or taskmanager shortcut in active app screen.
- full rotation. In biftor it was possible to rotate also the home-screens and app-screen.
- I choose not to use google launcher, but i still have google bar on top of all screens. Without google logo and impossible to remove.
Can this be removed?
Keep up the good work.
Hi,
I've a Nexus 5 with Official MMB29S, TWRP, System-less root and GravityBox.
When I used Lollipop I mostly about 1GB of free RAM in idle.
Since I switched to Marshmallow (with less installed app), after a few hours of use I have about 800MB free, that going down constantly if I don't reboot the smartphone.
AIDA64 under "Total Memory" says 1854MB
about the less 200MB of free.
What can it mean?
Okay, looking around the web, I found a russian screenshot of AIDA64 of a Nexus 5 with Lollipop, that under "Total Memory" says 1856MB, so I think that this isn't related with my memory draining issue…
Anyone?
I think that I solved my issue.
In Developer options
I had enabled the
Force GPU rendering
entry.
With this option every process that use GPU rendering take up additional about 8MB, so every time an App starts, my memory draining little by little.
When I used Lollipop I had this entry enabled, but I hadn't any similar issue… Maybe with Marshmallow something changed in this sense.
I hope that my experience will be useful to someone else, but above all I hope to have definitively solved my issue! XD
Hi.
I've changed my firmware to bacon_firmware_update_2016_1-25_.4.0.1.c7-00011.zip and that drained quite fast than th original one ( unfortunately i can't remember the name of the stock firmware ) then flashed MrSHME_bacon_firmware_update_2016_01_24 which drains even faster. Here is the stats from better battery stats and stock battery settings .
i'm using Resurrection Remix Marshmallow 5.7.4
Any ideas ?
Edit 1 : i installed bacon_firmware_oxygen_update_2016_01_22_.4.0.1.c7-00013 , any other recommendations or how to measure the drain caused by the firmware ?

Try it out..
You may try out the following:
>PARANOID ROM
>SULTAN ROM (CM Based)
>STOCK ROM
Both the customs are very very stable and provide great results in terms of battery performance. Sultan has the ultimate results.
OR
You can use an app called DOZE which will increase your battery life SIGNIFICANTLY. Do allow the the apps like Whatsapp, etc which you want to run always. DOZE apps is like HIBERNATION OR STANDBY for your phone. Best doze app's icon would look like a OWL IN purple colour.
Hi, I think I have a problem with my OnePlusOne. I have lineage os 16 but I see from BBS that it practically never goes into Deep sleep but there is no app that keeps it awake, it seems to be a kernel problem. Has anyone tried a stable #bacon kernel? I have the 3.4.113! automatic translation
