I have a Global model of the phone, currently I'm running LineageOS 16 (official nightlies) on Canting Kernel, but the problem was present on AOSIP and on stock kernel. Basically, NFC works, Google Pay doesn't. I had to jump through some hoops to get Google Pay to ignore my modded phone, but it was the same before those.
LineageOS version: 23 March 2019
Google Pay version: 2.84.237487748
Canting Kernel version: 0.4
Magisk version: v18.2-f5f7fd91 (18122)

Except I am able to add cards to the device, it doesn't show the "The device might be rooted or altered" message. That's not the issue. I was also able to add cards before the Android Pay/GPS update that broke that.

Hello everyone,
as already mentioned in the title, after I installed TWRP and LineageOS 14.1, the sound emitted from the external speakers of my cellphone is always crackling.
Before the installation of LineageOS the speakers worked normally: there are no hardware problems.
The crackling sound is only for notifications, ringtones, spotify music output, music player output and Google Assistant output, but not for YouTube output.
Someone can help me?
The Software Info related to my cellphone are:

Before installing the 14.1 version of LineageOs, I installed the 15 version, but I noticed that Wifi connection was broken (it didn't switch on the wifi) and also the torch didn't work (it said that it was always used by the camera, even if the camera was off).
Then, I found out that the 15 version of LineageOs is still in BETA, so I decided to flash the 14.1 version. And now I only have this audio problem...
here is the download to my sperry retailplus stock based rom. it's a twrp backup so put it in the folder where your backups are stored.https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603874077

II assume this is for the xt1766 since you posted the link in another stock ROM thread for the 1766? If not please specify.... Don't want to flash shtuff all willynilly without knowing what it's meant for. Also it's unclear whether this is STOCK or based on stock ROM because those are 2 entirely different things.... All in all I guess I'm just trying to say we need more information or this is just a NOOBtrap that's going to cause people flashing and bricking their phones..... JS
EDIT: I clocked on the download to see if I could find more information in what the fine is named and it says this is for xt1762 which makes me wonder why I found it in a xt1766 only thread as a link to another stock ROM. Im sure in not the only one who would assume iits for the same model number....
@AesopRock127 I agree with you there. It does say retail in the name, so I would assume it's for the retail unlocked version. but without any more information it is definitely going to end tragically for someone. @theportal2 you do know how many versions of the E4 Qualcomm there are right?

Yeah, listing the model # (SKU) in the heading would give clarity to compatibility @theportal2. E.g. xt1766 = Sprint/Virgin Mobile/Boost Mobile; xt1765 = T-Mobile & MetroPCS, etc.
This is for all qcom moto e4's, I based it on the moto stock retail ROM for Sperry but it should work for perry too.

I'm pretty sure stock ROMs for the Sprint version will not work on other versions. They have different OEM partitions and plenty of other differences. The Sprint version has the Snapdragon 427 where others have a Snapdragon 425. The Sprint version is also the only one without a fingerprint reader.
So time to update that OP.

Nope - bad assumption. Perry/Sperry are different beasts. You should update OP with specific application detail.
I will fix the thread, sorry for the confusion.
This is only for sperry
sooo what does retail unlocked mean? and is this just a totally stock?

Means you can theoretically use it with any carrier. Seller determines level of bloatware. XT1768 (perry) purchased through US based retailer had none.

I have a stock Samsung Galaxy S8+ model SM-G955U (Snapdragon) on T-Mobile USA
- build number NRD90M.G955USQU1AQJ8
- service provider SW ver: SA0MC-SM-G955U_OYN_TMB_0187 98891 a315a30494859 TMB/TMB/TMB
- The phone is a USA version purchased directly from TMOUSA.
From the build number, I guess my bootloader is version 1, right?
What is the best method to flash TWRP recovery and then install a custom rom on my device?
There's a post here, but it mentions version 5 bootloaders. Will that method work for me? Is there a better method instead? I've been reading threads all day, but I'm more confused than when I started due to the different models of the S8+.
Is there a LineageOS v15 or AOKP 8.1 ROM for my device? I want a rooted ROM without GAPPS and I prefer a fully-featured ROM like AOKP. Any suggestions for me? (I want to move up from 7.1 and I prefer a stable ROM, so I thought Android 8.1 might be the best option.)
Well, the HWC got fixed on the last Lineage OS 16 update, but still i can't find a way to fix Google Pay or ctos in Magisk, so could someone help me please?
Hi all!
Sorry for this thread, but I'm new here, at least searvhing for ROMs, and I get lost on lots of threads here.
I would like to know the latest OFFICAL ROM for the "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" tablet. My tablet has now the version 4.1.2.
Follow some infos:
MODEL Number: GT-N8000
Android version: 4.1.2
Base version: N8000UBLL2
Kernel version:
3.0.31 - 835372
[email protected] #1
SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 24 18:54:47 KST 2013
Compilation number: JZ054K.N8000UBCMA4
The actual ROM/System is in Brazilian Portuguese, but I don't care changing it to English.
Of course I would like some really actual Android version, such like version 12 or at least 11, but, as this tablet is really old, I understand that the lastest OFFICIAL version can be old.
So, I would just like to know what is the latest OFFICIAL version available for my tablet.
I would appreciate any help on getting this latest OFFICIAL help and also link for instruction on how to update.
Thanks in advance!
Regards!

Thank you @JJEgan !!!
Checking the site you mentioned, updato.com, for my country, Brazil, there is no newer version than the one already on my tablet. Can I install a version from another country? Like UK or USA.
By OFFICIAL, I mean tested, validated and mainly, stable. Here at XDA, Is there a stable version newer then this 4.4.2 or even this 4.4.2 version?
Can I find this official 4.4.2 version you mentioned, here at XDA?
Thanks again!
Hey,
Good afternoon!
If you want to continue with KITKAT I recommend using the Mikyno Gnabo Rom V8 custom rom [AIR COMMAND - NOTE 2014 APPS], It is updated to 4.4.2 and is lighter than the Original rom I used it for a long time.
Today I'm testing the html6405 LineageOS 19.1 (Android 12L) Rom, it's in the Beta version, if you want a more stable one you can try LineageOS 16.0 Android 9 for GT-N8000 GT-N8010 GT-N8013 GT-N8020 FINAL VERSION.

Hi! Thank you!
I don't need to keep KitKat version. No problem about moving to a newer version. Actually it should be better.
So, as you said LineageOS 16.0 Android 9 is more stable, I will choose this one. Thanks!
Can I download it here at XDA? With all instructions on how to install?
Thanks a lot!
Fala Rodrigo!
You can follow the tutorial on this page.
Are you familiar with the process of installing custom ROMs?
I was testing the LineageOS 16.0 Android 9 version, but I found it heavy, it kept crashing even without demanding much from the tablet.
I'm currently installing the LineageOS 14.1 Android 7.1.2 version, which may be lighter. After all, it's a very old tablet
