How to zoom in on video record??

For some reason, i can't zoom in at all on video record, however for taking photos it works fine. I tried using the wheel to zoom in and tried to press the volume up/down button as well as tapping on the screen for options but couldn't find anything.........it seems i can only do that for taking photos.....
you should be able to zoom once BEFORE you start recording.
Tap your screen, the zoom slider will appear, zoom once then hit record.
it's digital zoom anyways... for photos, it's not good because you are just cropping the sensor, yet extrapolating to get 3mpix
for videos, not sure how it works, because the sensor ignores pixels to record only 320x240(or 336x????) - 0.08mpix out of a 3mpix sensor
i have same this problem how i can fix it i wamt use zoom with record video
there is update for camcorder or there is other software i can download it for video cam
thanks

Recording video in macro mode

I don't see a way to record video in macro mode (really close up objects). If the still camera is using macro mode (in "Pro"/manual settings), and then I switch to video and start recording -- the first 2 seconds or so are in macro mode and then it switches to regular mode immediately and the focus becomes blurry.
How can I stay in macro mode when recording video?

Looking for device with front camera that good in low light conditions.

I work in ride-share and need a concealed video registrator so i am using my phone, however night quality is terrible when lights are off in the car, all i see is street lights.
Could you give me few android phone models that have good low light performance for front camera (face camera).
Optional i'd like to have front camera record horizontally wide video when phone is in vertical position (video orientation, 90 degree opposite to the screen orientation).

Recording mode on camera zoomed

Hi everyone,
So I just have noticed that using camera app on recording video mode (both front and rear camera) the view is way too zoomed in. I heard that it's something to do with video stabilisation, but I can't find a setting to turn off it. Well for rear camera is okay, the zoom is not very big, but when I open front facing camera, the zoom is way to big for proper use.
What's strange that using Instagram record mode, there is no extra zoom. So is there possible to fix this on default P20 camera app?
EMUI 9

Video stutter

Does anyone else have a little jump when filming in action cam mode when stabilisation is enabled. The image jumps a little with when moving camera.
