I have the latest twrp for my device (twrp-3.2.3-0-peregrine). The device is unlocked, encrypted and rooted (Magisk), running lineageos 14.1.
The SD card is part portable, and part internal.
I copied some installation zips from my PC onto the internal part (sdcard), but twrp cannot see them. The only directory it seems to be able to see on the internal part of the SD card is TWRP but it can't even see files I place in that directory. twrp can, however, see all the files on the external SD card (sdcard1).
If I use a file manager on the mobile when running normally, I can see all the folders under /storage/emulated/0/ (which is the internal part of the SD card).
How can I get TWRP to see all the files?

Some how my SD card does not show the update file. I'm able to copy the update zip file to the sd card, I can see the file if I search the card, but when rebooting with cw .8 the zip file does not sow. Any ideas why and how to fix. TX
Move the update.zip to a location in the internal storage of you gtab, then browse to it from cw.
I have already done so. I have flash my G tablet since NOV 2010 multiples time, and never have any issues. The ZIP file is there, I can browse it it I use sniffer and es explorer and so on. But once I boot the system on recovery mode , it is not there anymore, cw does not find it.
make sure the file is .zip and not .rar.
roebeet packages his files in .rar
Still does not work, even after repacking files into a ZIP file.
Just a shot here, but by "SD card" do you mean your external/removable SD card? Because when Clockwork is talking about the SD card, it really means the storage partition of the internal memory. So, if by chance you copied the update zip to the removable card, you won't find it. If that's the case, connect your gTab to your computer with the USB cable and move it over to the internal memory. Should work from there.
Solved !!!. I just need to unzip the folder ans install only the "update" zip on the sd card since I'm using cw 8.
My work requires encryption of the SD Card. After doing a factory reset, Android reports unable to mount SD card and to format.
Using twrp, i can view the file structure when i mount the sd. I cannot view the data partition because the device is encrypted.
Using my PC, i can view the file structure, but when i try to open a pic or zip file, it says the file is unreadable/corrupt. I would think that it if were truly encrypted, i would be able to view the file structure.
I can even take a nand backup and save it to the SD card, so i know twrp can read/write
I plan to format the card, but since i can see the files in twrp, i just want to make sure i am not missing something. Or, get an OTG cable and see if i can copy files off SD Card to a thumb drive...
I've flashed my tablet (SM-T800) according to the thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...android-6-marshmallow-tab-s-10-5-lte-t3219759
One of the instructions mentions coping SuperSU and GApps to the SD Card afterwards so they can be reflashed after an update. Does this mean I can't format the SD card as internal storage?
You can. But you still can copy files to SD card AFAIK.
I've been rooted for a while without any issues, until recently I'm not sure what happened but suddenly TWRP won't show the /mnt folder or be able to access anything on my SD Card, I've tried mounting and selecting the SD Card in TWRP settings but it displays 0MB and won't select it. All I see is my Internal Storage files, which means I can't flash anything easily. I don't know when it happened but it was working about a week ago. I formatted my SD Card as ext4 in TWRP itself and also tried NTFS on Windows.
NOTE: I can view the SD Card in Solid Explorer and on my computer, TWRP is the only one that can't mount/read any SD Card files or even recognize it.
Is there any way I can work around this without formatting the SD Card?
1. Have Tab2 7.0 P3113 wirh TWRP only on (internal) SD card. It was rooted w/m6.0.0. I finally got TWRP only running.
2. Twrp is running full time, device on charger.
3. Trough TWRP I can see that the internal sd card is empty
4. With usb I can read the internal and external SD cards.
5. Internal is Empty and ext sd card shows data.
6. How do I reload an operating system?
7. Without an OS TWRP can not find the ext SD card.
8. Twrp does see all of the folders listed, which are listed as empty, including the ext SD card.
9. I hve been looking for a M 6.0.0 image or tar, hoping heimdall could be used to load a system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
