Hi eveybody,
I recently bought a Redmi note 6 Pro and since the begining i wanted to use a custom ROM.
I unlocked bootloader and tried few custom ROMs yesterday (Havoc, crdroid, resurrection remix, ..) I decided to stay with RR but it's not the point.
In all ROMs everything is working well as expected. But I have a small problem that i would like to discuss about.
How is the notched status bar handled in all customs ROMs ? In all the ones i tried status bar work like if there was not a notch on the phone, is there a way to solve this problem ? Or is there another ROM (non-MIUI) that handle it ?
In stock or Xiami.eu it works well and there is even a mod for MIUI ROMs.
Did anyone tried this mod for other ROMs ? And does it work ?
Thank you in advance for your answer
Remy

I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules. I was just wondering what everyone else prefers on their Note 3... Stock ROM with Xposed, or a custom ROM?
I have been using Slimkat on my Note 3 since I bought it. This week I might try out the stock ROM with Xposed to compare.

I prefer Stock ROM with Xposed.
I understand why others love custom ROM but I don't need it

yes also
Same here, mostly running alexandr's ROM with lean kernel. Works wonders. But I can't understand why people buy this phone and flash aosp roms that turn the spen into a simple stick.
one of android best features to me ... is having a custom rom
but lately they all feel like stock with exposed enabled .... im still searching for a good rom to use everyday
rooted X-Note 3 knox 0X0
Stock rom with xpose especially Wanamp:good:
Tested lots of ROMs, if not all, that are available for the Nope 3. AOSP, TW based...
Best look, performance & speed - AOSP cannot be beaten here. And even if some FCs happened until I setup an AOSP, after that there's no hiccups, even on nightlies. Fire up ART runtime, and the speed gets to disgusting levels, but it's like a car, the faster you go, the more likely the crash.
Pure stock TW is ugly as hell, but coming from Samsung themselves, it's stable and everything works. And there ARE people who use the S-Pen every day. o.o
Also, it's probably the fact that I can't properly set up the kernel on AOSP, because the ugly slow TW gets me more battery life than AOSP. And I go tinkering with the kernel, and USB stops working, FCs, and other s**t. :/ I need to learn more on the topic, probably...
Currently, using Audax ROM with stock kernel.
make my own custom since i don't really use some of the function avail on other custom.
i vote for custom rom
when i am in stock note 3 the ported s5 apps doesnt work thats why i chose s5 ported roms as the note 3 dont get s5 apps or even the s5 uI samsung fault they dont care about there fans new phone produce throw your phone away cause you well get worse update - as i know 4.3 was better than 4.4.2 / 1-call record working without root - 2- camera performance better - 3- white keyboard - 4-not draining battery fast and ... a lot of things i may forget it dont forget the last update which introduce knox 2.0 which make towel-root useless - so tell me reasons not be in custom rom or you just stock with useless phone / i just losing faith with samsung update cause i know every update are getting even worse
I like using stock-based custom ROM with Xposed.

Thank you for the subject.
Personally, I prefer Stock because it's official and custom rom does not give you a big advantage over the original with Xposed, except with the custom I can not activate screen mirroring.

Me too!
So i am wondering how many of you have tried installing latest xposed on Nougat Roms.
So far My experience is not good as i tried it on latest Sultan los 14 and failed to make it work.
Xposed is really important for me, and this is the only thing stopping me from getting on Nougat rom.
So, if you tried it on any Nougat rom for one plus one plz share your experience with us.
How you made it to work, on which rom or if you have bad luck like me, what kind of problems did you faced.

It works without any problem for my One. I have flashed AOSiP Sultanized (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/rom-aosip-5-8-t3593551). I'm not using many modules, but they all work fine: gravity box, no lock home, secure settings, swipeback, zoom for instagrams.

Hello to everyone on xda,
i have a pocophone f1 and i would to know about the custom roms for poco f1 that provides lots of customization options. I wanted to install the ressurection remix but after i flashed it my phone booted into fastboot mode. So, i am looking for another rom that provides lots of customization features like the rr rom. Plz list out the roms available for poco f1 that provides tons of customization and plz do mention roms that you guys think i should try.
Thank You!!!!!!:cyclops::cyclops:
1stly did you try and find out why it booted into fastboot mode after flashing? perhaps you searched the RR thread and found no one else having a similar issue? perhaps you asked in the RR thread and got no answer?
imho i would be worried the next custom rom would produce the same results. i would strongly advise finding the issue with the RR rom thru checking md5 , searching , asking questions , logcats , etc. first before trying to flash anything else. just my .02ยข.

The best thing to do in that case is to go to the ROM thread, search for similar issues with keywords "battery" or "charging" and see if any add-on zip has been uploaded to fix this. If you don't find anything, report the issue in the thread and mention the username of the OP (using the @).
If problems come from your ROM, you can always ask the dev for help.
