It's been quite a while since I had ventured into this specific area but, I do know that there's a handful of other options available on the Play Store...
One of them that comes to mind is the "Inno Setup Extractor" from the following Google Play Store link.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.armedpineapple.innoextract
Using Inno Setup Extractor is an easy way for opening an exe file on an android but, not the only way of course.
Going from memory (from a while ago), Just download and install Inno Setup Extractor from the Google Play Store.
Then you copy/move the exe file(s) within an easy location you would know where to locate it via a File Browser app. Either the internal storage or the external storage (MicroSD) on your android device.
Then just open the File Browser App, and navigate to where the exe file(s) are located, then just select the exe file and, when asked/prompted, just select the Inno Setup Extractor app as the app to open the file with.
I hope the above instructions are okay since it's been a while and I'm just going from memory.
The following link is also helpful as well.

Well Good Luck to you!

To be honest, Unless I'm looking to do this myself, I doubt that I'll be locating one.
The following Google Search link is where I typically start with.

You also have the option for, hopefully, obtaining some member guidance within one of the following General Q&A Help Threads as well.

[Q] How to install .apk files on your Android?

Well, users who are already using Android from a longer time, may not find this thread useful because they may already know the thing described in this thread. I'm posting this thread for new Android Users. New Android Users may not know how to install .apk files in their Android device on SD Card. Just follow the 3 simple steps given below and you'll be able to install any .apk file on your Android:
Step 1. Copy the .apk file to your SD Card.
Step 2. Get Astro File Manager from Android Market.
Step 3. Open the file in Astro File Manager.
Step 4. When the installation is finished, you'll find your app just like any other app in your device.

You forgot to say that you need to check install from non-market resources in app settings. That might be important for a new person to know as well.

That's strange, all stock roms I've ran on my evo, and before that my optimus s have started with it un-checked. Thought it was googles way of pushing us toward their products. Huh.

I don't know why it's so...but it happens in my Wildfire..
what about sd data?
Some games come with sd data files. How can I install them? When I put them in the path (mostly H:android:data) it says files still need to be downloaded. What do I do wrong?

Tasker Profile Import Help

I'm really new to Tasker. I got it to use with utter! and I was reading Brandall's user guide on linking the apps. (There is a link to the guide at the end of this post) It offered a profile file to download to go along with the guide. When I tried to import it I got an error saying that the import failed. I put the .xml file in both the "auto-import" and "profiles" folders, and got the same error. I found a google forum with people saying they had this problem with different files, so I don't the file is corrupted or anything. No fix there though. Sorry if I broke any of the forum rules with this post. I did my best to find an answer to this before posting, but if there is already one out there please let me know and I will delete this one.

If you open a profile/task in your browser you'll be asked if you want to import it into Tasker.
In Tasker long-press the tab titled "profile" or "task" and select import.

Manifest App

regards
is there someone here who wants to help me tell how to manifest the app?
I already know how to unpack the .apk file with the help of apktool
my question: every app always ask for updates, even its updates are forced from the provider of the application itself, well, how do i make the app manifest itself so as if the app has been updated to the latest version when, the data is still the old application?
hopefully that can help ease his sustenance
amen

Please correct me if I'm wrong...
You want to just sever an app from the Play Store to, ultimately, prevent any update notifications for a specific app?

This is why I had asked that member about a clarification.
Many/Most apps can be severed easily from the Play Store by simply resigning the app without altering its ultimate function.

You have posted question in wrong section. You should have posted in general section. Anyway, If you have root access you can manually paste the apk in /system/app directory and give manual permission(-rw-r-r-) for running to force install as system app.
Sometime apps will work this way.
another clickbait scum thing..
nonetheless pls be careful what u post and how u post .

Is it possible to view package name & version code of some app installed on my phone?

Is it possible to view package name & version code of some app installed on my phone?
Hi,
I have an app installed on my device. I wanna view the package name & version code of this app.
But now I have not the package installer, .apk file, of this app.
Is it possible?
Here I mean version code other than version string such as 2.19.51.
Thanks in advance.

there's various ways that you can view this information via with and without an app.
If you go to your device Settings Menu, select the Apps (or Applications) and then select the app itself.
At the top of the App Information screen, you'll see the App Name, below that is the version information and below that is the package name of that app.
If you would like to see more "In Depth" information of the app, the following app is likely to be the one for you that's free without ads.

Thanks sir.
But at the top of the App Information screen, I did find the App Name, below that is the version information while there is not the package name as well as version code. Android 8.0.0.
Maybe I will have to take advantage of the utility app you recommended. Thank you again.
