Trying to root this phone

Hi,
I want to root a karbonn sparkle v, what is running android 6.0.1
I started android my wife one toolkit 1.2.1 then press list devices, then root. It said copying update.zip to androd. Then it rebooted, I see the now (temporary) bootloader, it said select the update.zip but I does not find on the sdcard. So I changed to apply update from adb, then on the pc I searched the update.zip used adb sideload update.zip command. Then it seems it is installedd successfully. But after that point I cannot boot sparkle v anymore. It stopps at the beginning where the circles spinning.
I tried to download sp flash tool, and flash a stock firmware, but the flastool does not recognize my wifes phone (as it does not recognize my working phone).
I can access the stock recovery (vol up+power) and then select recovery, then i can access the android recovery, i downloaded the 015427.zip copyed to the sdcard. Select Apply update from SD card. It wites:
PHP:
Supported API: 3
-- Install /sdcard/update.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
Can't install this package (Thu Sep 24 22:31:53 URC 2015) over newer build (Tue Mar 29 23:27:39 UTC 2016).
E:Error in /sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation abborted.
What can I do to make the phone working again?
regards
HyGy
I successfully installed CWM in fastboot mode, then I installed the update.zip from the sdcard with CWM. (flushed data, and installed).
I have a running android 6.0 it check for update and the first update is installed successfully.
Is there any disadvantage using the CWM? If yes, then I how can I put back the stock bootloader?
I have same problem, plz provide detail step on how to flash it

Please help me as im having same trouble. please provide steps on how to install cynogen mode. Im new to these development.
I had the same problem, i used Android One Toolkit, and my sparkle V was stuck with boot looping for around 2-3 hrs. I then tried to use SP flash tool to flash it with android 4.4.2 available. However, in switched off mode, my phone was not detected. And it took me to install few drivers (some around 7-8) that i found after searching the google! And SP tool was somehow able to detect after that. I am not sure which one driver actually worked. It took some 10 minutes to flash once the phone was detected by the SP tool. Thus, i suggest you try with few drivers that are available and wait until your phone is recognized by the computer.
I used my SD card as internal drive in my phone. Maybe that was the problem while working with Android One Toolkit. As it required a SD card to use the update.zip. Probably it was not recognized as SD card anymore as my SD card was configured as internal storage. That is my guess why i got stuck with boot looping.

watch this video how to flash properly the stock firmware
and this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rVXCn...b2hpdCBzaGFybWE=&hl=en&client=mv-google&gl=IN and this for drivers
downloaded factory image from googles website
copied latest platform tools to the same directory as the extracted contents of the zip from google.
run the batch file, can boot into android just fine.
reboot to bootloader, use fastboot boot twrp-3.2.3-0-walleye.img
install the twrp zip
android boots fine and i can use my phone normally.
install magisk apk, reboot to recovery, install magisk 16.7 zip, android wont boot
everything was fine until i made a backup last night within twrp. ive repeated the above process idk how many times. any help would be appreciated
EDIT: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2/how-to/guide-unlock-flash-root-pixel-2-walleye-t3702417 is the guide i was using.
EDIT 2: now when i install TWRP and try to reboot to system, it just reboots back to TWRP...
EDIT 3: looking at the contents of my twrp zip, theres a file called magiskboot so what im going to do is reinstall the factory image using the bash script included in the download directly from google, then just flash twrp-pixel2-installer-walleye-3.2.3-0.zip, then install the magisk manager and see what happens. if that doesnt work ill redo the factory image, boot from twrp-3.2.3-0-walleye.img, install magisk, and see what happens without installing twrp.
Hi everyone !
I'm trying to install Magisk on the cereus... but I fail miserably !
I have reset the phone.
I unlocked the device, installed TWRP, I can mount the data and system folder.
Then I got to Install > Select the Magisk apk I downloaded from Github without error and when I reboot the phone... No magisk icon, and Root Check still tells me I'm not root...
What did I miss ?
Thanks a lot for your help !
Hello y'all, i want to root my phone, i followed several tutorials and installed image file of twrp v 3.2.3 , lazyflasher.zip and magisk.zip . Tried flshing the twrp image file through fastboot, but it is unable to decrypt my data and is asking for a password, installed a later version of twrp v 3.4.0 and tried the same, it was able to decrypt , Now i succesfully entered TWRP and then i first installed the image file but i was not able to install the ladyflasher.zip(error 1 cannot unpack zip file) so i avoided the lazyflasher step and directly tried installing magisk and it said successful, but when my phone rebooted there was no magisk app and my phone is not rooted! Tried with different versions of magisk like v 16 and v 23 , still no effect. Also instead of magisk zip file i installed supersu zip file and still the result is same ( No supersu app on phone and thus not rooted)!
Reflash Stock ROM to get rid off of all mods you applied so far, then retry.
Issue Solved! Thanks for your tip @xXx yYy , but i solved it! Basically the absence of magisk app is not a problem, i manually installed the magisk manager and basically upgraded the magisk version(I flashed v 16 through twrp, magisk manager required v 23 and above) so i clicked install within the app and boom! root access is granted, crazy but anyways it did work , so issue solved
As in the subject, I have a problem with the magisk on the Mi 10 Lite 5G.
I downloaded room miui_MONETGlobal_V13.0.2.0.SJIMIXM_f2b661bdf6_12.0
Due to the fact that on android 12 there is no TWRP working yet, I uploaded magisk 24.3, patched the boot.img file and uploaded via FASTBOOT, everything is loaded, I have root access but the application does not work as it should. When he wants to hide an application under the name of settings installed he gets the message: "Restore application magisk, this application cannot run as root has been lost. Please restore it to its original state." and here I have install at the bottom. after installing the application from scratch, I get another message "Your device requires additional configuration for the magisk to work properly" I click ok and I have the message "configuration failed."
I tried multiple times to patch boot.img and upload it via Fastboot but I have the same problem every time.
Anyone know the solution to this problem ???
I'm still on MIUI 12/A10, I haven't tried this out.
But - since the flash-script is just a fastboot script, you can do it a bit backwards.
Install any pre-A12-rom, after that, boot in to TWRP. Flash boot.img from the A12-rom. Then flash magisk.
Now you edit the fastboot.bat or fastboot.sh-script. Remove the line with fastboot flash boot images\boot.img. Boot in to the bootloader. Then run the script.
You should now have a fully working A12-rom with magisk.
