What non original charger I can use for fast charging? Sony's fast charger is so so expensive.

From reading on here you need a USB C PD charger and USB C to C cable - have a search as there's a thread on it. Should charge a tiny bit faster than QC 3.0.

I had to return my XZ3 for replacement (dodgy screen) whilst waiting for the replacement I ordered a Klearlook 57w PD charger and Anker USB C to C cable, phone came in today - charged it up and used Ampere to check levels and it was charging at a max of 2400mAh which I believe is slightly higher than QC 3.0? Took it from 18 to 80% in roughly 50 minutes, much better than standard! Cost £23 for both from Amazon.

Powerbank that support Quick Charge 2.0

Any good powerbank out there. At least a 10000 mah above.
To be able to use fast charging feature in Note 4.
Actually that sounds like it would be really cool if it exists, I'd also be interested in knowing if there's a powerbank that supports quick charge. I've held off on picking up a powerbank for a while now, but if something like this is even possible it would probably get me interested, it'd be pretty awesome to be able to just plug in to a backup battery and have it charge up the phone with quickcharge speed ;P I wouldn't be surprised to find out it's not possible though... Anyone know?
Think the dual voltage 5 and 9 volt needed for quickcharge wil be a problem to design a powerbank with a feature like that. I don't say it's impossible but probably won't be cheap or small formfacfor
Yea. Is cool if fast charge powerbank then bring out to fast charge note 4. Lol.
There is this compact power bank (and it supports quick charging itself within 3 hours - via 2.1A input - at least on paper)
APE MP5200Q on Alibaba (not aliexpress)
Weight: 132g
Input: 5V/2.2A
Outport: 5V/3.5A,9V/1.5A,12V/1.5A
3 output ports: 2 USB ports and 1 built-in micro USB cable
Over-charge/discharge, over-current,short protection
Quick Charge output port: output 9V/1.5A or 12V/1.5A on Quick Charge state
Battery Cell type: Samsung Li-ion 18650
Quick charge 2.0: Class A
and it looks good too!
the only missing thing to make it a perfect power bank, would be 15W wireless charging capability...
Please everyone do say what Power bank you have
& how much time does it take to fully charge a Drained battery
So we know which charges how many times, Once or twice or more ....
Thank you all
I have aukey quick charge the silver 10400mah model its charge lg g4 same as qc2.0 wall charger I have mah meter
I also have an aukey but the PB-T2 model 12000mAh. Have quick charge USB outlet and also a normal 1A USB outlet. Has a 2A microusb input for charging an a so-so LED light built in. A bit heavy and slightly longer than the Note 4 in size. Cons: I would have preferred a 2.1A instead of the 1A USB outlet for fast charging other non quick charge devices.

As above Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 external battery packs are pretty good. They do them in different sizes and go above 10000mah
BlitzWolf looks good.
banggood.com are doing pre order, to be sent out 20th November.
From a store rep..
We use the newer chip FP6600 that not only supports QC but also standard fast charging, the Aukey does charge at QC speeds with their THY100 but will not fast charge other devices such as your iPhone at fast speeds. BlitzWolf's newer IC provides compatibility beyond just QC devices. The battery of the BlitzWolf is is LG and also of a higher standard than Aukeys domestic Chinese brand batteries. In terms of safety and compatibility this is one step ahead of Aukeys 6 month old version.

Hmm... we have Note 4's a removable battery is more compact and supports quick charge. Just have to get a battery charger that supports it. There would also be less power loss because it would be more efficient than transferring energy from one battery to another. Just my opinion.

5V 3A Charger?

Currently I am using both N6P and M8.
N6P supports 5V/3A but no QC2, and M8 supports QC2.
I don't want to carry 2 chargers all the time, so I did little bit search and found this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0122P71FC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
It seems to be a good one, with 5V 3A, 9V 1.67A, 12V 1.2A, so now I guess I can use it with Zaptip.
Anything similar to that?

On 5V 3A?
If that's what it's actually outputting then the nexus doesn't see it that way. I suppose it may be my cables. I don't have a USB-C to A adapter to try the C to C cable that came with the phone.
FYI I have this charger and it registers as fast charging with my Nexus 6p:

Can't say for sure if it charges exactly the same power/speed as the stock charger, but did notice it was definitely charging very fast..
It's the $10.99 20W black version.

Possibly but it did say rapid charging and it did charge plenty fast to me.
Honestly the stock charger doesn't seem very fast to me
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
When I plugged in my 6P's 5V/3A charger at 19% it said it would take 1 hour to charge. When I tried my iPad brick(5.2V/2.4A) and a USB C to USB A I got from amazon and it said it would take 1 hour to charge from 18%. Both said charging rapidly. It seems as long as the wall adapter puts out 5V and 2A or more it should charge rapidly, regardless of the wall adapter being USB A or C.
This charger situation is a nightmare. But....
I bought one of these awhile ago for $12 on sale, and I didn't expect for it to quick charge the Nexus 6p, but it does seem to register as quick charging.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...harge aukey&qid=1446247138&ref_=sr_1_7&sr=8-7
The charger listed in the first post will register as quick charging when using a USB 3.1 certified A to C cable.

Tronsmart 33W Dual USB Car Charger with Quick Charge 3.0

Has anyone tried the below charger with the Mate 9? I thought it should fast charge since it's 5V 3A, but I'm only getting around 2A according to ampere. Trying to figure out if it just doesn't work or if I got a fake one.

It's not going to fast change since it's 5v and not 9v like the OEM charging block.
Thanks. I mistakenly thought if it could fast charge a Pixel or 6p, it would fast charge the Mate 9. It does seem to be charging faster than a standard charger so that's good at least.
No, the Mate 9 uses Huawei proprietary super charging technology and he accessories today don't have it. We have to wait for more devices from Huawei to come out or companies are given the ability to use their tech.
Yeah, I knew it wouldn't be able to get super charging speed, but I thought it would be able to reach fast charging or whatever the middle speed is called.

The OEM Supercharge charger is also only 5v. It runs at a higher amperage, not a higher voltage.

Extra Chargers?

Has anyone found any cheap chargers that can charge this phone like the Essential charger does (really fast)? I have bought two different chargers and neither of them can really even charge the phone. The lock screen says it's charging slowly, and the battery meter acts like it's charging, but it doesn't actually charge. The chargers were both Quick Charge 3.0 chargers too. None of my old phone chargers with a type-c adapter will charge the phone either.

No idea. Honestly, I don't know of anyone who consciously needs to control the speed of their charge. I avoid charging overnight by rapid charging during the day at work.

I'm not sure how Android is programmed to display "Rapidly Charging", but I'm sure it's not by charging standard. Probably based on supplied power, but it definitely doesn't charge as fast as the stock charger. I noticed this with my QC chargers. It will say rapidly charging for a couple minutes and then just not charge at all or say charging slowly. Frustrating as hell so I bought an extra USB PD charger.
My Samsung chargers all work, and charge the phone to 100%. They just say charging, not quick charging, but whatever... The % goes up.

Phone needs a charger with USB-C Power Delivery and not QC. Anker has at least one model and Incipio has one as well. There are many others on Amazon.. The cool thing about those is that they also change my XPS-13. Only carry one charger when I travel.
I've got a few QC 2/3 chargers and a few USB-C PD chargers and what I've found is that depending on which USB-C to USB-A makes a difference whether I get rapid charge or not.
I'm slowly converting over to USB-C to USB-C but it is stupid expensive for some things like the power packs with USB-C...
Anyway, try a few different cables and see if it works for you, also it seems to work a tiny bit better on the Oreo Beta however my QC 2.0 car charger doesn't charge as fast as it did on 7.1.1 but luckily the car chargers are the cheapest USB-C PD items to buy, roughly about the same price as a cable.
One last note, the same charger and cable don't always go into rapid charging mode so replugging the cable in sometime kicks in rapid mode for me.

I suppose you could look for reviews or discussions on those particular adapters or search for detailed specifications. Or search Amazon or generally for adapters with keywords PD 3.0 and PPS. Most modern power adapters usually specifically point out PPS support in their specs.

I have had issues with trying to find a 45watt charger which will charge the S22u at the Super Fast Charge 2.0 rate. I probably ordered 5 different chargers and none of them would work @45 watts even though they supported the PD 3.0 PPS standard. When I contacted one company support team they said Samsung tweaked the PPS standard for the S22u.
As it turned out, I had an Elecjet 65w charger that charges my S22u at the 45w Super Fast Charge 2.0 rate. While they no longer sell that charger, they have a newer 45w version that does support the S22u (several Amazon reviews confirmed this).

The reality is a 100% fully supported charging brick and cable will only get you a < 10 min decrease in charging from 0 - 100%. With most of the speed gains in the 0 - 50% time being reduce by like 6 minutes and then being pretty much negligible after, as the phone throttles to protect the battery from overheating.
To get everything you probably would need to go with the Baseus.
