A full dark mode, to answer your question!
When the previews are released, do you happen to know when they become available to the public? And when they're actually stable?
Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

it will be soon, but no actual notice yet from any google people that i have seen,
usually they give hints,

We can get them as soon as the are released. The last two have been very stable for me. I ran them as my daily driver from the get go. However there are often bugs in a few apps that are not ready yet.

True!
Maybe the hint would be the move from G+ to r/android_beta yesterday.
I think sometime next week is what most of us are thinking now.

It's today! :good:
https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/03/10/the-android-q-beta-is-likely-launching-in-just-a-few-hours/

Check this link for when it DOES come: https://www.google.com/android/beta
Still waiting!

Now they think it might be on Wednesday:
"Unfortunately, March 11th has come and gone without any Android Q Beta releases from Google. Our apologies for getting your hopes up. However, it looks like Wednesday, March 13th might be the date to mark in your calendar.
Historically, developer previews and betas have been released on Wednesday, and the screenshot above, taken from a reddit comment, is reportedly from a Google developer calendar. Here's hoping we have better luck on the 13th."

Sooner or later they will be right.

Lmaoooooooo. So funny. Guess no Android Q today.

It looks they released beta 1 but device enrollment is not available yet

Running it on my 2xl now, sign up does work.

Running it on P3 XL, feels peachy!

So are you saying that even in beta it is as stable as 8.1? What bugs have you personally witnessed using the beta or what noteworthy upgrades or changes that you personally enjoy? You never really answered my questions. Your response sounded like a sales pitch lol
The only issues I have had with the PBeta on the most recent version was with beta versions of a few Google apps. I rolled back to stable versions for now of the Google app and search app and have had no more issues. Battery life has been solid even a bit better than 8.1.

For sure i personally think its perfect. No bugs but my google phone app beta an update ago, would force close. They issued a fix yesterday. Thats the only bugs i have had and i have run the past 3 versions. 8.1 is boring. The new gesture system is great and the battery life is insane
I have some issues with streaming music on the P beta... Like Spotify won't let the system know it's playing music and after 2 songs the music stops because doze kicks in... But other than that and the occasional data/wifi drop/stall it's been pretty damn good

Android 10?

Who wants to guess when official Android 10 will drop? I'm going to say it will be sometime early next week!
you mean Android Q
I don't care, I will not change the naming scheme even if it's official.
I can't believe they stopped the dessert naming scheme
Absolutely disappointed
I'm going to say first week of Oct
Whenever the 7T is released
7T will be shipped with Android 10. For OP7 pro, who knows. I'd expect fast update.

That's not that far from beta4 to stable. I'm pretty sure Oneplus is working on stable 10 now.
Rumours say Sept. 3rd:
https://www.neowin.net/news/android-10-is-reportedly-launching-on-september-3
https://www.phonearena.com/news/Android-10-release-date-confirmed-official-Pixel_id118451
I'm guessing Open Beta will be around the end of this week.
OP will preserve the update for the new flagship (T) I guess. Normaly within a view days after release they stable updates will be availeble for the previous devices from the same release year.
This could be soon after 27 sept (presentation OP7T and OP7T Pro en OP TV.)
For now latest Developer Preview is out DP4. From this version on you can update via OTA to bèta builds. So you can try it but dont expext everything is working fine. Its still a preview. If you only want stable builds I presume you need to wait to the beginning of october.

He "doesn't like the new naming scheme". Let him stay in his bubble, it's fine. When the time comes and we're all referring to new builds by numbers (as Google is intending), he'll be stuck on letters still and we'll just sit back with our popcorn and laugh. I completely understand Google's reasoning behind it and even after being disappointed at first, the change makes sense. They said that not all desserts were recognized globally and not all regions have certain letters or know what order they come in. I just read an article the day that I found out about the news, if I can find it, I'll link it.
Edit: this isn't the exact article I was referring to, but close enough. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.th...ficially-announced-new-logo-wordmark-desserts

I really do not care what they call it.
I do know last year One Plus release Android "9" really fast.
We had it long before the Samsung losers.
You want the fastest updates Pixel but at least last year One Plus was pretty fast.

It is rumoured that Oneplus is going to release Android 10 for OP7 Pro in October or November 2019. I think that's possible. We can be sure one thing - that will be faster than Lineage.

It may note release on September 3rd. Here's why. Both Telus and Rogers first listed Android Q for September 3rd release (probably based on the rumor), but both have removed that now.

Late is better than never, which is the case for the vast majority of phones many of which are newer than the X4.
Does anyone know if the FI/AndroidOne version for sept. has be released? Can't find in my usual locations.
Noticed on the Lolinet site that the RETUS releases has "PPWS29.69-40-3-1" uploaded on 10/3. Seems like a newer build just going by the naming scheme?

I got the update today as well, which came as a surprise. I was wondering the same thing regarding some urgent fix.
Maybe they are trying to appease the masses over not getting Android 10 by providing faster security updates. I feel like they wiggled out of providing the upgrade. Technically speaking from a calendar standpoint, the Android 10 release was within the 2 year OS upgrade path when looking at the release date of the phone. Rant over. Time to look towards custom ROMs.
i just got november, PPWS29.69-36-2. support.motorola.com/us/en/solution/MS145560

A2 Lite official Android 10 update release date?

I've seen a thread in the Mi Community stating that Mi A3, A2, and A2 Lite will all get the Android 10 update next month (January 2020).
Here is the link:
https://c.mi.com/thread-2725788-1-0.html
The same inquiry had been made about 1,5 months ago and we've been told that we'd get the 10 with December, but here we are mate. I wouldn't trust the Xiaomi support.
I'd expect the update next month too (buggy, but still) so let's wait a few more weeks and see!

It might be, it won't be. It's up to Xiaomeme. Better to just wait for the others' opinions and comments for the Android 10 update before you will. Even with unlocked bootloader, it still might be unsafe, because Xiaomeme.
Back in January 2019 and March 2019, a lot of Mi A2 users bricked their phones because of the unintentionally bricking updates. And usually, fixing with that problem was rather slim to none, except for warranty and returns. Especially for locked bootloader users.
In this case with Mi A2 Lite, downgrading (Pie to Oreo) do have obstacles with RILs (switched SIMs and some losing 4G connection after downgrade) if users wish to downgrade and want previous Android version, and maybe so with 10 to Pie (or worse). But time will tell what will be.

I'd expect it to arrive in January. But the most important thing is to arrive with no bugs not just early!
