Hi, as someone who jumped over to Windows phone some while ago, I am now looking toward Android based again, mainly due to the fact I don't like the way windows is heading.
I have my eye on the Wileyfox swift http://wileyfox.com/ at the moment, it looks good bang for bucks and I like the fact it's UK manufactured.
I'm a little unsure when it's released as I have read some articles saying it's released today and others saying toward the end of September, I can't find it on Amazon or Ebay and the Wileyfox website although gives good information on the phones they are some what lacking in purchasing info, which I find a shame.
My other concern is there is no contact information on the website of the manufacturer, which always makes me a little uncomfortable.
Any thoughts on this phone?
Phone sites almost always wont have pricing details, because of the diff country models, and diff prices in diff places
Thank me if i helped ... ?

I went for OPO 64gb in the end. My concerns around the Wileyfox were there was no contact information on the web site, no info on release date although I did receive an email saying it had been delayed until 30 Sept, but looking at the site it's still not released, so lost some faith in them. Something didn't seem right about ordering from a company where there was no contact info for or even details on release.
Anyway, I feel I made the right decision with the OPO and am well impressed, good service from ordering direct and received quite a few extra's that I wasn't expecting ie case, screen protectors.

I just bought a Wileyfox Swift through Amazon pre-order. It came as promised and is a sweet device. It is a shame that the Wileyfox home page has no contact details. I wanted to find out how to root the device. As it's Cyanogen, I thought it would have come pre-rooted but it's not.
Also, because of delivery delays, Wileyfox offered me a year's screen replacement cover free. To avail of their kind offer I have to enter the device IMEI on Wileyfox home page but.....there's no option there....yet.
Amazon,as usual, got everything right but Wileyfox seem tardy. Maybe they'll catch up soon.
The Swift is a nice device but I want to root it. Does anyone have any information about that?
I have made a big mistake. Try to flash a new official rom somebody posted in needrom, and I got hardbrick (qhsusb_buld detect when i connect). I am asking for any kind of advice. I have found some different methods to repair it with qualcomm tools but i dont have the required files.
Thanks for your answers.

rooting the wileyfox swift
Hi all,
found out how to root this device!
Here the steps:
1) download supersu zip from here
https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
2) save it to your external sdcard
3) follow the steps on this site until recovery is started.
Do NOT flash the Cyanogenmod, only the recovery!!!
https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_crackling
4) reboot directly into recovery. Normal system boot reinstalls stock recovery.
5) install supersu update zip from recovery menu
6) reboot and enjoy root access

It has native LED support, which actually works very well. On my Nexus 4 I used to use Lightflow, but with the Wileyfox I've not needed to use a separate app.

That's intersting. My stock recovery always complained about wrong signature of the update, so I had to use the CM recovery.
Now as I've got root I can read out the ROM. Does anybody know how to build the ROM image so that it could be flashed by recovery to restore the device?

The stock recovery does complain about the wrong signature...so I did USE the CM recover, but I did not flash it, I simply booted into it with:
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
This allowed me to flash without replacing the stock recovery
Hey guys, I've followed all the instructions (adb, fastboot etc, fastboot is installed and working correctly etc), but when I try installing the recovery (for cm12.1) it says the system cannot find the file specified?
Any suggestions?
Or is there any other way that I could install the recovery?
I'd really like to start using the 12.1 nightlies

What do you mean with installing the recovery? You download the recovery image to your PC and flash the img file using fastboot. Then reboot and press the power and vol- buttons together.

Has anyone been able to successfully do this on the Storm (not the swift)? If not, does anyone have any reason to believe it will/wont work?

Seems that the Wileyfox Swift still has the Stagefright bug number CVE-2015-6602. Does anybody know if Wileyfox will deliver a CyanogenOS update for that?

This rom is a stock rom and is almost 100% stock but it comes without dm-verity to avoid boot problems in case you want to preserve your custom recovery.
This rom is meant to be used in case of emergency, give a fresh start to your device, restore your device in case of corruption or just to play around.
I have tested this rom on my own device and everything is working properly.
Please check the specifications at the end of this op.
Requisites:
New assert-fixed twrp version forked from messi's twrp
Note: All the credit for twrp goes to @messi2050, this is just an assert revision of the current twrp made from messi. It will be deleted as soon as we get an updated version with the right assert tags.
Installation steps
Download the new assert-twrp version and flash it as you would normally do it.
Standard Wipe (factory reset) and Format Data are optional (unless you have a non-stock based rom installed already). If you want a full fresh start you should format data, reboot into recovery again and do an standard wipe x3.
Install the rom.

I think you mean screenshot right??
I usually don't take screenshots on my stock roms, basicly because there is nothing new/fancy to show. It is stock and it'll look the same as when you buyed your phone, with the same default wallpaper and apps...
I take screenshots in my slim versions (wich I will start soon).
For some reason doing the Vol - and Power does the same wipe problem as in Messi's V1 of twrp for me. Am i doing something wrong?

You mean that you power off your device and the use the Volume Key and Power hit yes twice, right???
If that is the case you could try flashing DM-Verity or SuperSu again to avoid that little bootloop. Or you can just stick (like me) to do and ADB REBOOT RECOVERY.
Please notice that I never mentioned that the bug-fixed twrp was intended for this bootloop/reset issue, it just correct some asserts problems that block our devices from installing this rom and any other room with the right and original asserts.

Question 1: There is not at the moment, I will start with Leaneage OS after doing my slim version. I don't know how many time it will take as this is my second device and I am just playing around with it (my V20 give me more pleasure).
Question 2: Stock means Stock... Nothing new nor fancy, same setup, apps, etc.... I mention on the OP what this rom porpuse is.
Hotspot issue: not all the time depends on a custom rom, this is my first device with metropcs service, I don't know if they sync your hotspot usage with their servers. If they do you are not going to be able to bypass that. Any ways my slim version it would get rid of plenty of bloatware and it may work if they depend on the main app on the device.

The hotspot will be monitored regardless of if you're using a stock room or custom. The only difference being that on a custom rom, you won't receive a notification stating you went over 8 gigs. Once you hit the 8 gig limit, your hotspot speed will be slowed down.
Also, when you go over your 8 gigs of high-speed hotspot it won't reset at the beginning of your pay period, but exactly a month (to the day) after you went over.
So say your pay period is the 5th and you go over your limit on the 4th. You'd have to wait until the 4th of the following month before you get high speed back.

I was just about to ask if your slim rom would be a debloat, but now I know. So good look there.
Also, if and when you get down on lineage. I'll be more than happy to test, I had been working on it myself before I blew up my hard drive. So I'd rather help then be a sponge.
Im also willing to test.
Ufffff...
Ok guys... After several days testing / building the slim version I am getting really frustated and dissapointed...
Everytime something goes wrong there is no way to boot into recovery mode using hard keys, that only makes twrp wipe and reboot but not entering on the complete twrp options. So everytime that I flash the test .zip of the slim version and I get an error before actually booting completely into the normal system I have to go to Mocosoft (windows) and use LGUP to flash the .kdz and start from scratch all over.
I hate to have to reboot my laptop and use Mocosoft, I really hate not been able to reboot in recovery mode as in other LG devices with the hardkeys.
I guess is another limitation of the actuall twrp version that we have, maybe we will have to wait for an updated twrp version to avoid all this trauma.
Right now I feel like I'm done with this device, I have used LGUP around 15 times in 3-5 days just because I can no go into twrp.
If this is happening with a stock based slim version I don't want to think about building/testing lineageos.
If you know an option to go to twrp version after a corrupted/incomplete system tell me about please. I have used the followings procedure but not success:
1.- Hardkeys (just makes twrp wipe the system).
2.- Fastboot boot twrp.img (command fails).
3.- Flashing original twrp (from messi) and then the flashing back the bug-fixed twrp (forked from messi) and trying to reproduce the first boot taking out the battery and using hardkeys (no luck, still wipes the system and reboot by it self).
Sorry guys, I think I will stop for a few days... Maybe I need to go out and have a little fun and come back...

I hope you can success with lineage 14.1, i wasn't able to make it boot on the stylo 2 plus since ms210 and ms550 are almost the same if you managed to boot it then I'm sure it will work on the stylo too, good luck.

I don't get it?
You mean the asserts right?
I haven't test the new twrp version of messi (no free time), so you are telling me that the new version still have the wrong flags?
I usually don't remove the CORRECT flags from my roms (a Tmo user could flash the metropcs and cause a brick/softbrick for example) to avoid user's mistakes/misread...

The new version has the correct flags. I never said it didn't.
I'm saying that a twrp can be created with unified flags allowing a room to be shared between devices without having to build between the lv3 and the aristo. Sorta like what had been done with the LG Leon a couple years ago.
Instead of using the h or Ms flags relating to model number, you can use the consistent board config as the basis.
Either way, the only way someone could brick or soft brick from this method is if it were like the S4 situation where you have to flash the carrier specific kernel version for the device. Like using the At&t rom on the Verizon s4 will cause a soft brick until you flash the Verizon s4 kernel.
This is only just an idea in response to you having to go back and forth (before you got the updated twrp) on recovery versions during your tests
OP updated to link and point to the new and updated twrp version from messi.
You guys no longer need the bug-fixed twrp version as before.

Can you do me a solid, sorry if I'm turning into an annoyance. Add "lg aristo" into either the thread tags or into the thread name itself. It'll add the thread into the Aristo board for easier access and make this easier to find. I recommended your rom to another user who had no idea what I was even talking about. (So I shared the link if you don't mind me doing so)
Just thought would leave this here.
The Alcatel 3v supports project treble it's probably the cheapest on the market that supports this
If there is a way to unbrick it, I might try flashing a GSI to see if it will actually work. The thing is that for some reason my 3v has a MT6735

Ok just to give you guys an update, GSIs actually work! I managed to unlock the bootloader by typing in fastboot oem unlock and ticked oem unlock in developer options. Then I followed XDA's guide on flashing a GSI and it actually worked. Now we have stock android on the alcatel 3v. The only problem is that the phone is really slow and the stock camera app is upside down so its probably best to stay on stock
Have you had any luck trying out different gsi's, perhaps there's a certain one that works better? Also, would you happen to have a stock rom for an Alcatel 3v 5099a? Or at least a boot.img?

It's fastboot OEM unlock, when in fastboot
The procedure was fairly easy and I'm now running phhussons AOSP 9 v114 on my 5099Y.
Very smooth and much faster than stock 8.0.
No camera issues at all.
Google play verification was an issue but soon sorted
This device needs further development though, it has a few random glitches running pie, but nothing than stops it working well.
After reading @ivan1972 comments I've today also flashed a couple of gsis on my 5099Y and had good success all round.
I unlocked the bootloader, this device has the easiest unlocking bootloader ever!
I then tried lineage 15.1 with Go gapps and that worked really well.
I tried Descendants 3.0 and flashed via fast boot (fastboot flash system system.img - I obviously renamed the GSI to "system.img") I have that installed on my Moto E5 play but it was far too glitchy on the Alcatel and I had huge problems trying to get the play store certification working, so I was bombarded with notifications about my 3V not being Google play verified almost every three seconds!!!
I'm also using AOSP 9 v114.
The battery life is double that of stock oreo, the phone works twice as fast as it did on stock, and I had no issue with Google device certification.
I suggest any user wanting to flash a Gsi on a 3V spectrum should aim to install lineage 15.1 or AOSP 9 as they are both great gsis.
Edit, the Gsi was flashed in fastboot as I haven't rooted or flashed (found) a twrp for the 3v yet.
Some screenshots from my 3V Spectrum (using the latest Lawn chair V2 as default launcher)
You will note the status bar is glitchy and doesn't show until a notification is received, then it appears in the middle of the screen, not at the top.
The only major issue I've seen so far.
The device is listed as "PHH treble" in device settings
After a week's usage Ive found one major flaw.
Whilst you can make an out going call with no problems, with good clarity and good service, no one can actually phone you.....!
Incoming calls are diverting straight to voicemail, nothing in settings to explain why.
Everything else is perfect on pie, flawless and way better than stock.
But this phone is no use if you cannot use it for its primary function - to receive a phone call :crying:
Edit - I'm told it's an AOSP issue on mediatek chips, and it's not an easy fix.
And as there is no way to go back to stock, I'm now stuck with a device that cannot receive any calls.
Just putting that out here incase anyone does read this and feels the need to flash pie.
Don't bother!
I'm done with this Alcatel - no one really seems that interested in this device anymore.
Edit.
My Alcatel has been traded in (as non functional) for a Nokia 4.2
I'm not quite sure why are people sending me private messages asking if I can send them the custom recovery for the Alcatel 3V?
I have quite clearly stated in my previous posts that I flashed the GSIs I tried via FASTBOOT - there is NO custom recovery for 3V that I can find - so please don't message me requesting the custom recovery.
*WARNING*
I also recommended users do not flash android pie gsis on this device as it breaks RIL / modem function and there is no current fix - but for a strange reason people are still asking me about the process and any bugs / issues.
Please read things properly before posting private messages - whilst I'm happy to help anyone, I'm not prepared to keep unnecessarily repeating myself for the sake of repeating myself when the information is already there for everyone to see.......

I wish that was easy to believe, but I have an Alcatel 3v (5032W) and I CANNOT unlock the bootloader for the life of me!
@mattchusquirtle420
I'm not sure why you find what I said one year ago so hard to believe, but I'll explain it to you.
Are you sitting comfortably?
Then I'll begin.....
This thread deals with the 2018 Alcatel 3v (5099Y)
It's a 2gb ram 16gb ROM / 3gb ram 32gb ROM on Android 8.0 (Oreo)
That had a standard MTK (Mediatek) chip so was super easy to bootloader unlock.
All you had to do was enter fastboot and use the "fastboot OEM unlock" command and press enter.
The bootloader was now unlocked, no unlock codes were needed or necessary.
https://www.gsmarena.com/alcatel_3v-9004.php
********************
You have the 2019 Alcatel 3v (5032w) which is a 3gb ram 32gb ROM device running Android 9 (pie)
Which has a MTK Helio chip and a locked bootloader that cannot be unlocked.
None of the Helio or Snapdragon Alcatel 2019 devices can be bootloader unlocked, infact the only 2019 Alcatel device than can be bootloader unlocked is the 1C.
I'm not being rude to you here, but this thread began back in May 2018 - and you also just replied to a comment I made in July 2019 - That's a whole SIX months before your 3v 2019 became commercially available.....so I don't understand why you even commented, your device isn't relevant, or even has the same processor / chip as the 2018 version, so how can you honestly disbelieve our experience if you have a completely different device?
I now have this device.
Alcatel 3 (2019) 5053Y (Snapdragon 439 chip with 3gb ram and 32gb ROM on Android 9 pie)
https://www.gsmarena.com/alcatel_3_(2019)-9599.php
It's not possible to unlock this device because bootloader unlocking is not supported.
I'm going to ask you now very politely and without being rude to NOT private message me about your device.
Your device is not relevant or related to our discussion or this post.
You are going to have to find a dedicated thread for the 3v 2019 because posting and commenting in the 2018 device thread is not really very clever and achieves nothing, and helps no one, including you.
Oh dear.
You seem to be annoyed and disbelieve what we are saying.....
Well how about you actually read the post properly first before you start telling people you find it hard to believe what they say?
Did it occur to you at any point that we may have been discussing a different device to one you have?
There is more than one version of the Alcatel 3v and they are all different.
Nothing annoys me more than comments from people who don't take time to read the information Infront them properly.
You've commented here saying you can't believe us but you've commented in a device thread that you don't have or have any experience of at all, so your comments are completely unfair and totally unnecessary.
I thought how old the the thread was it would have been completely obvious to you that we were not discussing the same device as yours, or you were just stupid and assumed it was the same.

Y'all should go easy on the dude. I made the same mistake thinking this was a 5032w thread simply bc it's the leading search result on Google. He's just a newb and probably linked in to this thread from a Google search and there is NOT distinguishing information that this thread is specifically for the 2018 version. Until you two fire off at a new member bc he annoyed you.

Really?
Don't you think it's just a bit sad that you felt the need to take me to task over comments I make 16 months ago?
Who cares now?
It's not my fault or my problem if you blindly follow Google links.
It's not my fault you made a mistake, at least you admitted to it, so many here don't.
I'm sorry you made the same mistake but rather than sound off to me about it a year and 4 months later, learn from your mistake, move on and forget about it.
What happened here is none of your business, the "new" guy concerned made a heartfelt and genuine apology privately to me and we both moved on 16 months ago, but now you come along and you have to have the audacity to tell me off!
I can always refer you to the mods here if you are really concerned and upset about my comments, but seeing as it was resolved so long ago I don't really see the point.
Or I could just report you for harassing me, the choice is yours

No one has annoyed me only you.
I don't take kindly to getting XDA notifications at 3 am, especially for something I said here so long ago.
So what I need to know is why are you replying to something I said almost 2 years ago?
So you really think I care what you think?
I think it's absurd you come here telling me and the other guy off for something we said 16 months ago - AND after you admit to making a mistake and follow Google links without checking.
That's just stupid.
Did you actually read the thread properly? I think not, you come charging in here with all guns blazing without knowing the full facts.
The other guy apologized to me for his mistake privately and there was no problems between us.
So why are you telling me off now 16 months later without knowing the full facts?
When did you check the facts?
You just charged in here telling people off.
I'm not happy about this as it was resolved 16 months ago with good intentions privately, amicably and in good spirits.
I will be reporting this matter to the moderation team here, as I certainly don't take kindly to being told off by people who cannot check the facts first.
Hello, can someone please send me the official recovery of the alcatel 3v 5099a?
.
Just got a new Lenovo s5 (k520 running ZUI 3.7.177 ST) but can't root it (tried KingRoot and Root Genius so far).
It has a nasty little OS (ZUI 3.7) which keeps killing apps it doesn't like. It took me two days to find an adblocker which would work (AdClear) after trying Dns66, Blokada and a couple of others which I can't recall. It's tightly locked down.
* Anyway, my question is... Has anyone had any luck with rooting this phone or OS?
* Or, has anyone any suggestions for apps or rooting options which might be more successful?
If there's any other people out there with this phone, I would seriously consider chipping in to buy one for a dev to work with... give me a yell if you're interested.
Cheers,
Specs:
OS ZUI 3.7 (based on Android O)
CPU Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 2.0GHz Octa core
ROM 64GB
RAM 4GB
Edit: Hmmm, I was hoping that the latest Magisk beta (16.6) might help, but no luck. It does seem to get further along but fails with an 'unable to find boot image' message (my apologies for not being able to quote that accurately). Nothing seems able to find that .img. Can't back it up either as no app can find it. Yes, I need to brush up my adb skills ...my last effort ended in an error reporting lack of appropriate key, as I recall (sorry, have a bit of a flu just now). Anyway, has anyone else been able to look at this phone? Anyone have any ideas (or just thoughts) about what I can do here?
Thanks.
Just to update.... I have tried every simple rooting option I can find -with no luck.
I have found one reference to installing twrp & rooting this phone, but I'm unsure how legit it is ...it just looks a little like its put together by a script; but maybe they just copy/paste a lot when writing tutes? (I have written to them but have had no response from them in a week). The tutorial makes reference to a dev/group in China successfully installing twrp, but only on a Chinese release, not international.
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone knows of the group or people referenced at
http://tutoraplikasi.com/cara-root-lenovo-s5/
or if anyone might have an idea of the dev(s) in China working on twrp & lenovo?
Just a shot in the dark, really, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
Cheers.
OK, looks like time for some more serious reading and brushing up of old, much neglected skilz... I will probably close this thread and open another ( if there's no objections) in the xda twrp forum.
If anyone is interested, I'm looking to compile twrp for this device with a view to flashing magisk. Hopefully, it will work. Seems that adb & unlocking the bootloader is the only way I'm going to get to actually see the partitions holding the IMG files etc. (Though I do have one or two ideas about escalating privileges/permissions, but that's a whole other bunch of research -and time which is always short.)
Anyway, if you have an interest in rooting this phone have a look for a thread under twrp Q&A.
Cheers.
Seems like it was just a matter of waiting... XN Logos has come up with a solution, it appears --
https://www.stupdroid.com/2018/07/root-twrp-lenovo-k520.html?m=1
At least I managed some in depth reading in the meantime. I'll report back on success of the procedure.
Hi I have also a Lenovo s5. I hated zui 3.7 too and I succeded in installing Lineage OS 15.1 by phh using only fastboot mode... I tried rooting It but unsuccessfully. Now I want twrp and if it would be possible even root. Did you succeed with XN Logos?

Haven't actually tried yet. After all that looking for a root solution I now have been too busy. Will probably do it this Wednesday. I'll keep you posted. Did lineage work well? Any bugs or other issues? ZUI is a dog.
Yeah everything is okay... In the previous updates there was a problem with the audio in ear but now is solved. The only thing that is a little (but not dramatically) worse is battery life because in zui the fact that the os kills every app in background makes the battery last longer.
Hey guys, I know it is no the perfect thread for this yet this phone almost doesn't exist anywhere on the internet. I have the same issue with apps closing as you do. I wanted to install Lineage OS yet as there is no official release for lenovo S5. I would really appreciate some guidance on which release would I install and how. Would it be via the twrp? Thanks in advance.

I'd say its this one, maikelos27...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...evice-development/lineage-phh-treble-t3767690
Should be able to use twrp, or via fastboot as mentioned.

Hello, I'm a lucky owner of this beautifull beast, the Lenovo S5 K520, but with the horfull ZUI3.7. I always have been using Cyanogen and after lineage OS.
It did not luck for me to install it on the Lenovo S5.
I manage to install TWRP-3.2.2-0713 with the help of the S-Droid toolkit for Lenovo S5.
From there, I did try every rom from phh on this page : https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development/lineage-phh-treble-t3767690
but the best I did get is the first logo of lineage OS going on and never stop for hours. I also did try AOSP treble Rom from this site : https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development/experimental-phh-treble-t3709659, but there I'm getting the Android text changing of ligth theme, but bothing more.
Could you please tell us the procedure and the version of the software you are using so that you are able to use Lineage OS on a Lenovo S5 K520?
Thanks a lot.

Hi i did in this way...
1)fastboot -w
2)fastboot erase modemst1
3)fastboot erase modemst2
4) fastboot erase system
5) fastboot erase boot
6) fastboot erase recovery
7) fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
8) fastboot flash boot boot.img
9) fastboot flash system {systemname}.img
The only thing you should do firstly is download the firmware from a video in YouTube whose name is like "ROM Lenovo s5" or something like that and extract the firmware in order to have both boot.img and recovery.img. Hope I could help
P.s. I used phh lineage latest build
Lenovo S5 global version stock rom
Hi everybody!
I was wondering if any of you have a copy of the original ZUI 3.7 non-Chinese stock firmware. I had trouble with my phone and contacted the customer service. Unfortunately, they've sent me the Chinese version (K520_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00011.0_O_ZUI_3.7.355_ST_180412_qpst) and now my phone is almost unusable as the rom only contains crappy Chinese stuff... :crying:
All apps are Chinese and it contains no GApps... I cannot even restore previously save config.
Please help me and send me a backup or the original non-Chinese firmware.
Thank you very much
I didn't even know the existence of an original firmware for non Chinese phones indeed when I bought it it came with a horrible chinese firmware with few translations. Did you find it? Because I want to try it too. If you didn't find it I'm also going to look for it

Hi everyone I just got a lg Stylo 6 from boost. I was hoping that as I picked mine up for pennies(50$) that there would be a way already spoken, that doesn't seem to be the case. I heard that taking KDZ rom info and splice the original r software and patch it through magisk. This can be don? I hope so . But what I was going to do was start a thread that supports having a TWRP
Built for it would be better, I've got (40$) onit being a new created re covery would be better, idk I haven't been online in years since
The J3 emerge was the last thing I worked on as a tester, that I could get a gang of people needing the TWRP too. Anyone down?? (7876006741) that's my work number for phones and like minded things. So anyone down to start this new project let me know I'll hit up Ashyx when I get enough behind it. Thanks
Its looking like there is gonna be a flood of people now needing a TWRP for the Stylo 6 now there is a bootloader unlock & root-I myself being one. Start(if you wish) to post what you need & lets get this baby rollin'!!!
I tried to contact twrp them selves but like they say on their site they rarely respond and I've got no response, I've used Hovatek's twrp porter tool and I've not had any success. My discord group is nearly done with the V60 twrp and I might be able to get the developer working on that to build one. I've got no experience building a twrp myself or else I'd give it a shot, but being a mediatek device with a-b slot It will be more difficult than a regular custom recovery build.

You're quite the intellegent fella. Have you tried to make any custom TWRP recoveries for any mediatek based chip-ed devices? (almost typed chipset. )
At this point, I wouldn't even care if Stylo 6 ever got a TWRP. Outta give it a try to a custom one yourself and see if you can add a new feather in your cap, war-locked guitar man? (ok ok, will never make fun of the awesome name again. Old habits, never feed the trolls after midnight!)
Whoops, just ran across this after the comment from earlier. This answers my question, I retract my previous comments and questions. Wish you a good day, dude.
