So what happened was I ran into some issues with notifications not being pushed onto the phone. I thought it was a MIUI version problem, because previously I didn't have any problems with notifications, and it was only until after the latest MIUI 10.2.2.0 update that I ran into them. And so I decided to download the official MIUI v10.2.1.0 ROM from xiaomi's official website and tried to downgrade. Big mistake.
Now my phone is perpetually being stuck with the error message "The system has been destroyed". I really don't know what to do and I'm hoping someone here is able to help me with it. My Mix 3 is running MIUI v10.2.2.0 prior to the downgrade, and has the China ROM. Bootloader is locked too. Is there anything that I can do to kick the phone out of this status? If you need more information, I will gladly provide them. Will greatly appreciate any help that comes by. Thanks.
Checking your phone if it can get into bootloader.
If it can, just open the unlock application and unlock again.
And then you can use miflash to flash 10.2.1.0 on your device.
Hope I can help you

How do I know if the phone can get into bootloader? Sorry I'm pretty new to this bootloader thing. Honestly, this Mix 3 was my first ever Xiaomi device so I'm a bit unfamiliar with how it works.

It should be possible to use fastboot to install a working official firmware. Was your device originally a Chinese ROM or Global ROM device?

It was originally Chinese ROM. So I guess flashing a Global ROM wouldn't work? Especially since the bootloader is locked.

But doesn't the bootloader have to be unlocked for a fastboot recovery?

Hello everyone.
I live in Brazil and I bought at the Aliexpress MI4C Xiaomi. I haven't received it yet, but I've already started researching ways to use it with another ROM than the original. The seller sends the device with google apps and multilanguage option. So, he makes some modification in the ROM, and says to not update the ROM officially on Xiaomi servers.
I see a lot of complaints about the Chinese bloatwares in ROM and so I wanted to install one that was good, but nothing with applications in Chinese or unnecessary ones.
My question is: in this case the bootloader is already unlocked?
In the meantime, I sent my request for unlocking bootloader to Xiaomi and received the SMS containing a link. As soon as I get the cellphone I intend to do the procedure. There is a risk of bricking the phone?
I’ll do appreciate good links with how-to and good ROM to daily use.
Thank you.
The seller shipping a modified ROM and telling you not to update the official would suggest your bootloader will not be locked. For now only flashing the latest official China dev builds will lock your bootloader.
Getting pre-approved for unlocking couldn't hurt though I guess.. just in case. You might need to have a working Xiaomi framework in your ROM to register your phone once though. If your ROM does not have the xiaomi services, I would suggest either Xiaomi.eu or sMiUI as a ROM, both are pretty much stock MIUI with some chinese bloat trimmed.
But most likely you will not need to unlock your bootloader anyway. You will need to check your bootloader through adb anyway before doing the steps to flashing a new ROM. You will best be flashing your recovery through adb, the instructions can be found through most ROM pages or simply searching TWRP Mi 4C. The command to check if it's unlocked is
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
A very extensive directory can be found in the INDEX thread, first in this forum.

you cannot check the bootloader locked or not by that way. My phone when checking this, gets the input "bootloader unlocked: false" but I can flash other recovery freely.
in his case, he is using a modified rom, it means his bootloader is not yet unlocked. Right now, if he wants to come back to chinese rom, he should use Mi flash to flash his phone. If he wants other rom like CM13, he should download the latest TWRP and the rom, put the rom into his phone storage. Then try to go to fastboot to flash the recovery, then go to the recovery and flash the rom.

Ah, that might be incorrectly reporting indeed. In any case when trying to flash recovery, if you're locked it'll simply fail and won't be harmful.
But why would you think his bootloader is not unlocked? If he's using a modified rom, it was probably flashed through fastboot or a custom recovery, both require the bootloader to be unlocked.
But even if he was not on a modified rom, stock Mi 4c have always come bootloader unlocked. Someone would have to have gone out of their way to lock the bootloader and I doubt any reseller would do that, they would risk a lot of refunds from angry customers.
I strongly advise against using miflash to flash any official rom unless you have no choice, since then there's a chance you WILL lock your bootloader. For now only dev builds are locking it, but the next stable release might very well too.
The first step should be to flash TWRP
The second step to stay away from Official China build
The third step to keep away from Official China build

^ sorry my bad.... I was not focused. Actually I mean his bootloader is unlocked .
The safest way is flashing via computer, using mi flash or flash twrp image. You are right
1. Ur phone not lock bootloader
2. U can flash custom recovery...(TWRP)
3. "MUST" Stay away from official MIUI ROM
4. Flash whatever u want...sMiui, CM13, etc,etc
5. Remember Point No.3
***Btw, download official Fastboot ROM and keep it to ur drive, for just in case if u want to sell it again

Even as a last resort to getting your phone working if you did something wrong, please don't install the newer official roms, it's the mistake I did this weekend now I have a locked phone with a rom that has force-closes everywhere and absolutely no way back.

No.
The only scenario where you would want to use miflash to flash a chinese rom would be as a last resort to flash the fastboot version of V7.1.6.0.LXKCNCK to restore your phone. Any later version will lock your bootloader.
If you don't care about locking your bootloader and the arduous process of unlocking it, you're easier off just taking all the latest updates OTA via the updater.
Hello everyone. Thanks for the help. In fact my bootloader was unlocked. I flashed twrp 3.0.0.3 and flashed the CM13 teamluminial, Android 6.0.1. Excellent. Thank you.
Hi!
Same scenario here..
I will receive Mi 4c with the Bootloader Unlocked, Rooted and the Multilanguage ROM.
But I have already received from Xiaomi after my request also the number for the official unlock procedure but now I'm a bit confused..
Do I have to unlock the bootloader once and for good with the official way?
Because I've read that the unofficial way isn't so secure in long term.
Do I have to install from the Updater the latest Cina Dev ROM and after that to proceed with the official unlock? Or it is better to use the Fastboot ROM?
Please could some one tell me in any case what to do ?
Thanks !
If you don't flash something that will lock your BL, no need to Unlock.
Ok first I must check the status of the bootloader to be sure that it is unlocked (via cmd control or cpu-z)
And after that can I choose an unofficial weekly miui.eu international ROM and install it?
Can I download and also update every week via Updater this ROM without issues?
At the moment my problem with flashing is that I don't have my pc (the one I have now runs win xp) and I don't want to stuck with the eventually malware or fully spammed modified rom of the reseller..
Which options do I have?

What command you use. You have Android 7 or 8 right now
Android 7.0 I have been using that app. That boots it into recovery then tries to flash it. I tried to get the adb cmd to work but it doesn't find the file. I know this all sounds like gibberish but that's why I'm lost.
This works only if you have working Fastboot AKA Download mode and you have unlocked your bootloader .
First download this --> https://github.com/StollD/NOST/releases/download/v0.6/NOST-v0.6.exe
Its a latest one and the working one. If you have LOST LA installed just unistall it. That doesnt work at all.
Then you need to download this FIRMWARE --> https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1smpap8mB0RZNk1j_HD0IJUX5LjFzKC4a&export=download
Then istall NOST and extract ZIP file. Launch NOST and select next. Make sure you phone is connect to your pc and it is fastboot mode "download mode" and find your phone. If it does then just click next. Now select the extracted nb0 file and go next.
If i remember right there is normal and rescue install method and some other too. I use the normal method. Then just go and start the install. Every first time it do something to my phone but give me the error and did not pass the install. But when i try it again it works just fine and finish the install. Then your phone should just do a reboot and voila, you have a stock nokia firmware installed succesfull.
After i do that, and my Nokia 6 1021 start, its download first PIE version and installed. After that i can do OTA install the latest PIE version. And i still can have my fastboot a live. So if you have like i have unlocked bootloader you can flash the latest TWRP and latest stable MAGISK 19. Then you have a working ROOT your phone
I just use "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". Then "FASTBOOT REBOOT" and straight push volume up and power button together so long that your phone go twrp. If you fail its install stock recovery back. You can try again. I Try couple of time and i get it
Now my phone have latest PIE and latest MAGISK.
You need an unlocked bootloader for that.

Thanks man, I edited.
My phone is hard bricked.
Recently I was continuously charging my phone with power bank. One night I forgot to put my phone on charge and it got discharged fully. I tried starting it in morning but it got stucked at Nokia logo, I tried getting it into recovery mode to reset it but was not able to because i haven't connected it to power before. Afterwards I connected it to my laptop whose charger was having earthing problem and giving shocks. In between trying to put my phone into recovery mode along with connected to laptop, the current passed through my phone for 2 times. And that was the last moment i had seen my phone's screen lighted, and then full blackout.
I have taken it to service center first, the person tried installing the software on phone again and confirmed phone is being detected by PC but unable to install software. They had given only one option to change the motherboard to fix it.
Then i tried getting it repaired at local shops, where a person told me internal memory IC has been shorted. Another person at different shop tried repairing it and was also not able to fix and said lastly that motherboard is dead.
I think maybe Hardware kernel got disturbed, so is there any method to install the hardware kernel again?
have you Nokia 6 TA-1033 SS firmware rom download link?
Links are dead
I sucessfully installed Orange Fox Recovery in my Redmi Note 7 Pro (violet). But then after that I wanted to go back to the stock rom so I flashed it with Mi Flash. The Rom which I flashed was Global Stable Fastboot Rom (Version 11.0.8.0) but after flashing an error appeared that the system has been destroyed. Then I tried to unlock my bootloader, that took place successfully and my phone booted but the bootloader was still unlocked, I want to lock my bootloader. But whenever I do this the System Gets Destroyed.
You probably have the Chinese version and are flashing the Indian rom. Try to flash the Chinese rom and lock the bootloader and see if it works.

I am also having the same issue. I have tried multiple methods. I flashed Chinese rom, and then tried relocking the bootloader. It did not work.
I also tried flashing MIUI 10, and after flashing the fastboot rom of MIUI, I tried relocking bootloader. It did not work as well.
I want to relock my bootloader.
After unlocking bootloader I am facing just one issue, that is, my internet goes off (volte signal + internet) while receiving an incoming call. While it does not goes off and internet works fine when making outgoing calls. Are you also facing this issue? I am using Airtel.
Also, can someone please help us out?

I have already answered this question in this thread. Read it carefully and be sure to use the Turkish MIUI variant. Basically your original MIUI version and variant to avoid a possible hard-brick.

Probably not. I don't know anyone who tried that and succeeded. The thing is, in an unlocked state, the Bootloader (HLOS to be exact) will ignore all errors that are related to custom firmware. Once locked again, you run the risk of a fatal error and will be transferred to EDL mode, which you can't get out from without a Xiaomi verified account (essentially hardbricking your device).
Tell you what, try doing this the opposite way. Lock the bootloader with the turkish 12.0.5.0 fastboot MIUI first, then try to flash the global version 12.0.7.0 through fastboot or recovery and see what happens. That way you don't risk a hardbrick (avoiding repair shop costs), you can always unlock again anyways.

As i've replied before i personally don't know and have not known a case where it succeeded. Why are you afraid of trying? Most will not help you with something if you don't try it yourself first, try it with your bootloader locked as is and if it doesn't work forget about unlocking and locking again.

I don't know if this will work or not. Try going to updater app and pressing download latest release. Then stop it and open internal storage. There should be a folder called downloaded_rom or something similar. Try placing the global rom recovery version there, delete the one that is there and see what happens. Maybe you can toggle update now or flash through MIUI recovery.
If does not work, then i can't help you further. Maybe others who have tried it can.
