Hi,
I am wondering if there is a ROM with black notifications and white text. I have a disease where I'm super sensitive to light. All is fine with Twighlight just not the notifications. Sadly the white notifications are torture for me.
Swiftdark I read about but not sure if that's available for the pixel 3.
Thanks for your help!

If your rooted, you should be able to use Swift Dark or Swift Black in conjunction with substratum to theme your UI to dark everything :good:
Thank you so much. I'll definitely will be rooting. Just got my phone today. Can't find Swiftblack though. Weird. Is there a thread here? Sorry again ?
You can also change it with this:

Hi Guys
You know when you plug your phone to charger or to USB there is an orange light on the upper right corner of the screen.
Is there any way to modify this, so that new mail, new sms or any notification that we choose makes this light blink? (Like blackberry style or trackball LED style)
See the screen shot
Google has removed the APIs from Nexus One to control the trackball leds which is kind of dumbass thing to do

He's not asking about the trackball... he's asking about the one in the upper right of the screen....
But.. just curious... why don't you just want the trackball to blink? It's brighter and easier to see.

I find it easier to see that orange light.
Trackball's light seems to be very weak.

I'm still curious about hacking the LED in the upper right of the screen...
Try Missed Call.
App was make for rooted devices, N1 led don't flash different colors, if it has been rooted when the charger or usb is plugged the led flashes the assign colors. Always flash is the app. ONLY WORKS FOR ROOTED PHONES.

This guy knows what he is talking about.
He just mis-worded it, well it could work either way actually. App developers cannot make the LED (top left one) blink at all - and they also cannot control the color of trackball flash unless rooted.
It seems though, if you are charging the phone - and use an app like Missed Call, or Hancent SMS, the color of the LED does change.. but only when charging..
It is like Google completely disabled the LED unless the phone is being charged, other than that it is entirely off with no way to be accessed. I'm sure someone will find a loophole around this eventually I guess ~.~

Agreed. I need something for email also. That trackball changer works only for sms/mms.
In the Desire-ROM (HTC Sense) that has been leaked and now is available to Nexus 1-owners, the LED can be controlled just as the original post asked for. Works here, right now.
Just saying, no nothing is "stopped" when it comes to controlling the LED. It's just that no one has put any time into yet IMHO.

trackball light weak?
did he really say the trackball light was weak? are you really using a nexus one? my light is so bright, especially on white, that it practically wakes me up...
pauls nex desire rom aplha 9 works like this..
Try always flash..
Now I know there is no notification light for the G2x (ordered mine today- and backordered) but is it possible to have one of the capacitive touch buttons flash to let you know you have a message? such as the home button flashing 2 times a minute or something like that?
I'm no Dev, but just an idea.
Coming from a rooted G1, i'm more than willing to let go of the LED light but this could be a cool concept, if it worked....

It's half complete. The screen must be active for the LED to work.
Try Noled , free in the market. It places different color icons on your screen when there is a message lots of custom settings and easy on the battery. Works fine on miy G2X

What do you mean by "active"? I have it installed and it works perfectly when the screen is off.

Yeah, I have no idea what he's talking about either. Works wonderfully for me as well.
I just realized when i was tinkering with my settings that I have a small purple spot/smudge on my screen. It only appears in dark backgrounds like black, grey. I have called google and they will allow me to keep the device for the time being and sending me a new one. Has anyone here have the same problem?

Sent from my Nexus 9 (2015). My phone is currently a Galaxy S3, September an HTC One M8 or LG G3! Tapatalk'd
Regardless, it should be under warranty and this is a defect, so the seller should give you a new one or repair it.
Hi all. I decided to install an rather new android Oreo theme for emui the other day and since then, emoji have been showing as placeholders instead of icons in the Xbox app and also when I tap a letter while using fleksy keyboard(it is supposed to show the letter being pressed, not a big vibrant emoji). I don't know if this is coincidence but it's extremely odd. I've cleared cache and did what I could but nothing has worked to return these things to normal, it's obviously not a serious problem (other than looking tacky) but I am curious to find out what caused this. My device is an frd-L04 on stock B388
I believe it's a problem with the theme. Try another theme and see if you still get it.

Well done man! ?
This only happens to me if I enlarge the fonts.
When I apply it on my OP6
Every thing becomes dark as usual.
But when you go to places like
1. Settings - Apps - App permissions
Or
2. Settings - About Phone - status
There the screen is light themed/white background despite having a dark theme on.
Is it in your mobiles as well.
Also, the Shelf also remains with white background.
Help plz

Same thing on mine. They just didn't fully theme it I think. They must have missed some sub-menus.
u are correct, mine does the same, it also does on my 5T as well so its just something that was not themed

I am sure software was different then from now.
Anyways.... What did you do? Updates, flashed? What are you running? Anything useful other than "it doesn't work"?
