Go to where you installed flashtool, for me it is c:flashtool, go to flashtool/drivers folder and run the program inside. Select fastboot and flashmode drivers and then install.
New flasher should work now.
If i were you I would download the latest 8.24 firmware and v4.5 existenz.

Hello all,
I've just bought a Z3 which I assume was running Android 4.x. I got ahead of myself and, instead of pushing the full Cyanogenmod zip file to the phone before, just unlocked the bootloader and fastboot-flashed the boot.img from the cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly. I knew I could push the zip files later on with adb and flash them. But since I didn't authorize my computer with this phone yet, it does not allow me to. Now the phone is not booting (shows the first Sony logo then a black screen that stays forever). I don't have access to a windows machine, just linux, to use the flash tool, so I was wondering if I could somehow get the boot.img from Android 4.3 or 4.4 to flash them, boot back into the OS, push the zip files and root it properly.
Thank you very very much!

It was originally developed for Linux. Goto flashtool.net and follow the instructions to install on Linux
I have always used adb on Linux to flash boot.img. flashtool for flashing and xperifirm to download ftf files.

so after giving up on installing cm12 I've decided to roll back to the stock sony firmware
but, I kinda downloaded a version that is a little bit outdated, so I have to update it
the problem is, when the cellphone goes to install it, it just boots on twrp
is there any way to fix that?

Are you trying to install a .zip file or a .ftf file?
.ftf files are only flashable with flashtool via a pc.

How were you going to install cm then? That needs an unlocked boot.
You can still use flash tool to repair your phone though.

Use flashtool to download the latest FTF for your device and flash it.
Or, if you can access recovery just flash a pre-rooted .zip for your device

Don't afraid it is mustn't be a big problem, can you enter recovery? If yes then flash a pre-rooted stock rom which is available in forums and if you don't have recovery, try flashtool. It must recognize phone in flash mode then use a FTF file (use a 4.4 FTF if you want to gain root and recovery to use zip files such as custom roms) and flash device. It must work.

Do you use latest flashtool?
If you are in windows 8 or newer try disabling driver signature check then install phone drivers.

Hello, I'm wondering if someone can help me out with my Lava Pixel 2 phone?
I'll tell you what I did and what the problem is now.
Several days ago I wanted to upgrade from the stock Android 5 to 6.
My phone had not been rooted before.
I managed to root the phone and install TWRP Recovery on it, but I did not make a backup before I started
and made some changes that prevented me from making a useful backup after TWRP recovery was installed.
After several attempts at installing Android 6 I finally was able to install one (Ruben).
This version is very bad and I would like to either go back to V. 5 or a better V.6 or V.7
The main problems I have now are the following:
1. I can't boot back to the TWRP Recovery menu. Any attempt to do that starts up the phone!
2. I can't find the correct driver to allow my phone to communicate with my computer.
I get as far as my computer identifying the Phone by name, but I can't make a connection to transfer files etc.
Any help with this would be appreciated!
The easiest method is to flash twrp recovery by sp flashtool if you know how to use sp flashtool after that you can root your phone by magisk zip by flashing it in twrp after that install magisk manager this method is 100% working
This recovery works in both lava v2 2gb/3gb
Unzip the files first then you can get the files
Mtk windows 10 driver working in any windows like xp 7 8 10 install driver for phone it is for windows to detect phone while flashing using sp flashtool just download sp flashtool
disable signature enforcement in windows 10 so you can easily install driver
Works in both 2gb/3gb
Flash it using spflashtool

Can we change directions a bit?
Since I made my post a couple of days ago a lot has changed.
First off, I was able to get back my Android v.5.1 stock ROM.
I did this by loading the VCOM USB drivers on my Win 8.1 notebook and running SP Flash Tool.
Then I installed ROM 5.1
It worked.
However I would like to try out various v.6 and v.7 ROMS.
Since rooting my phone, I have been unable to get back into TWRP's boot menu.
In fact, I believe TWRP is no longer on my phone!
And I don't even know if my phone is rooted anymore!
I downloaded the files you shared above.
When I tried to Download the TWRP Recovery.img I got a "PMT changed for the ROM it must be downloaded" Error.
I tried to resolve it by Formatting, but that just bricked my phone.
So I started again just now and re-installed ROM 5.1
Could you please give me specific instructions how to :
1. Install the correct TWRP recovery image to my phone?
2. Root my phone?
3. Allow me to try different ROMs?
Thanks!
