Hi,
I would like to know why I can't do a factory reset or wipe data with TWRP?
When I do, I have an error saying unable to wipe cache...
Does anyone have the same problem?
Thank you all

It just wipe all user data but no the internal storage. You can use CWM recovery it works perfectly
I was on cm10 with twrp installed then I booted into twrp in order to install cleanrom 3.1, I wiped data and installed the rom, cleared cache and rebooted but its just stuck at the boot screen that says my device is unlocked and a big asus, so I tried installing cm10.1 but the same thing happened... I'm assuming Im missing something since I'm new to this device..
Please help thx
Can you enter to recovery

I have a similar problem: I tried to flash an old nandroid backup from my old tablet and now everything is freaking out. I have full access to fastboot, ADB, APX and can enter and flash recoveries and roms day and night. It just doesn't load up past the Asus screen. Any thoughts? I've tried wiping out numerous times and clearing every partition and cache I can think of, but I just can't get past it. "Wipe data" only takes 5 seconds and I don't think it's actually wiping anything at this point...

Try updating the recovery
Hello,
i am trying to put kitkat 4.4.4 onto my Xoom MZ604. whilst using trwp the program says that it has failed to wipe dalvik.
do you have any advise to correct this error?
thank you,
steven
Please do a Factory Reset in TWRP and then select Dalvik Cache as one to be wiped from Wipe menu.
Hello. I'm trying to copy all my apps along with data over to my S7 Edge from my S6. Obviously I can't use Titanium as we don't have root on the S7. I tried using Helium, but I can't get it to connect with the S6. I even tried an adb backup with no luck. So I tried flashing the stock firmware on my S6. Now it won't boot. Just loops. I've read that if I do a factory reset in recovery, that it should boot. But, I'm worried that if I do a factory reset that I'll loose all my internal storage. If not, then I'm good as I can access my recent titanium backup. But, if it clears internal data, I'm screwed.
Does anyone know if factory reset will clear my internal SD card? If so, can I access my internal SD card from either recovery or bootloader? I need to get my titanium backup folder somehow. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Which recovery are you using?

Well, the stock recovery was installed when I flashed the stock firmware. I don't think I can install twrp now?
That say, doing a factory reset won't erase your internal SD card if you flash twrp! So try it via Odin over your stock rom, but use a trwp recovery that is suitable for lollipop
