Hi everyone,
I recently unlock my phone's bootloader.
So now I'm in search of a good battery life rom.
What is the best rom for battery life?
I'm on AEX latest build (6.3), it givesme 9hours of battery life.You can also try for Xiaomi.eu or miuipro

But about RR pie rom?
I tried Havoc Rom 2.2: 36 Hours On Time / 7 Hours Screen On Time (Minimal Usage)
I'm using CRDroid 6-7+ SoT, I'm torn between AEX and Xiaomi.eu, the later seems to have better battery backup but going back to MIUI will hurt.

Do you suggest AEX over Havoc?
Some says havoc gives the best SOT.

There is no "best ROM" you have to try yourself and decide.
Tesla N beta is actually one of the best roms I've ever used for the opo, it's got amazing battery life and a plethora of features. It's incredibly stable for a "Beta" build.

Whichever has the most up-to-date device and kernel trees.
Right now, that's probably LegendROM or Slim.
Omni will be best once the device bringup is done.
I tried Tesla N and Pure Nexus N. They are fast, smooth, OMS support and no big bugs. But battery drain quickly compared to MM (Darkobas)

A visual aid (either a list of settings or screenshots) remains helpful if posting backup file. I like to see what the settings are before adopting someone else's preferences.

Hi All,
I successfully installed AOSP Oreo 8.1 system image on whyred, thanks to treble. It successfully booted and all the things are working fine till now. Here is the screenshot of the device info:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Steps to do the same:
1)Unlock Bootloader!
2) Flash Miui 9 China 8.1 Fastboot Rom from the link below(instructions available on Miui website):
http://bigota.d.miui.com/V9.5.4.0.O...EICNFA_20180308.0000.00_8.1_cn_c2879bfe3a.tgz
3) Boot and setup the rom just to make sure.
4) Now, download the AOSP Oreo 8.1 system.img, from the link below. You have 2 options, either download the img with gapps and su included or without them, your choice. I went for option a). (Thanks to @phhusson for the system imgs)
a) system.img for A-only ARM64 devices with GApps and SU:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754465917
b) system.img for A-only ARM64 devices vanilla:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754465916
5) Replace the system.img in the fastboot rom downloaded in step 2 with the system.img downloaded in step 4. Now, flash the rom as you did in step 2.
6) Your phone will automatically reboot after successful flashing.
7) Enjoy AOSP Oreo 8.1 :highfive:
Don't forget to hit the like button!
Also, if you have any queries or anything else, you can join the official telegram group here: https://t.me/redminote5proofficial
Bugs:
1) Screen doesn't wake up using power button after devices sleeps.
Solution: Turn off 'Jump to Camera' from gestures settings.
2) Lowest brightness setting is not low enough.
3) No voice in-call
Nice :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

I'm a gaming freak who does hours of gaming. I've tried almost every custom rom out there. After trying them all I've come to this conclusion.
1) Ion OS = stable gaming, excellent battery life.
2- Amogs OxygenOS (the build in this post) - pubg is very smooth but you will struggle hard to get that chicken dinner because there is something wrong with this rom that ruins the sensitivity in PUBG. Swipes and Joystick feel hard to drag.
HNY OxygenOS 10.3 - Its the winner. I've not encountered any battery issue or bugs. There's an issue of volume being too low that can be fixed with a patch.
Everyone who wants an excellent blend of performance and battery go for HNY OxygenOS 10.3.
Hi , anyone know how to disable this temperature warning ? Which is annoyed me when playing game

Both ways work, but just restore original boot image, it's easier.

If you read the thread you'll see that works in MIUI
Phone: Mi 9T (64 GB)
ROM: MIUI 11.2 xiaomi.eu 20.3.26 (Beta)
This kernel broke speed connection info (for speed connection info in status bar or any monitoring app).
Otherwise, it's nearly perfect (better reactivity).
Thanks!

I read the thread, I know it works in Miui and that wasn't my question.
I asked @sauliiin because I know he's using Miumix and I wanna know is there any difference in battery time...

HI mate not on MiuiMix anymore! But battery seems better on xiaomi eu beta. To soon to say! But you should try it's a stable and smooth kernel
Is magisk working for you guys?
Me with EU20.3.26 got bootloop after rooted with magisk.
EDIT
OK I waited and now it booted up.
I had to reflash magisk after installing this kernel.
