Constant record translator app - Android Apps and Games

Hello!
I like Google Translate and have tried many more apps like that. (Microsoft translator and others).
What I struggle to find though is something that continuously records and translates. Perhaps I have used some but have missed the functionality in the app.
I am constantly at conferences where there are speeches given in multiple languages I can't comprehend completely or not fluently enough to translate and take notes at the same time. I can speak and understand most of the languages required for my job, but to translate, comprehend and take notes often becomes too much to handle at once.
The issue with the above apps is that they listen, translate and stop / pause after it perceives the sentence is over.
What I'm looking for is an app that pretty much acts like a live translator that doesn't stop translating, speaking back or pause. If possible even give me the whole speech translated after it's over.
Continuity is my top priority so I don't have to constantly tap to translate the next sentence or have something not translated while it pauses to speak it back to me.
It can be a paid app, but I strongly prefer single time payment type app.
Most of my work has English, Russian, German, French, Nordic languages and in some rare cases Chinese (which I can only speak a few sentences of).
Can you help me out and point me to something that might be helpful for me. I prefer android app, as I can position it however I like, but if you have suggestions for Windows too. I won't turn them down.

[APP][1.9]FlashLingua

Most language apps that I've tried only show text and let you answer questions, some also have a reader that reads the words out loud. This is the only app that I've found that uses voice recognition to test your verbal skills. The graphics are really neat and make make it hard for you to stop
The flashcards are very useful as you remember something much better when you see a picture of it, for example objects like a house, pen, etc.
The app is for:
• English speakers learning Spanish or German
• Spanish speakers learning English or German
• German speakers learning Spanish or English

Dictus Speech to Speech translation

Ever visited a country where you didn't speak the language of and looked like a weasel trying to translate every word using an old dictionary or a traditional dictionary app? This developer found the solution to this nonsense. You can now quickly translate from your language to more than a dozen foreign languages by speaking into the phone. Dictus will then translate your sentence into the selected language and display it as text or even read it out loud. It is up to 5 times faster recording and recognizing a text with Dictus than tapping it into a SmartPhone. For dyslexics in particular, Dictus provides invaluable benefits.

FAQ
----------
Does the FREE version come with any limits?
- Yes. The free version provides a limited number of translations for which we are actually paying the translator company (Microsoft). Unless you have the need for high volume translations, you can probably survive with the free version.
What is the Premium version?
- The Premium version removes all the ads. More importantly it provides the option to obtain a generous number of translations equivalent to 10000 Tweets, 1000 emails, or 10 pocket books per month. You will need a Microsoft account to activate this option. Complete details are provided in the app.
Why Microsoft Translator and not Google Translator?
- Google Translator will be added in next version
Do you collect private information?
- No.
How do I close the app?
- Simply tap and hold the “T” icon for two seconds.
Can the app translate automatically without copy to clipboard?
- There are some limitations to implement such a feature. We are working on a solution.
Does it work offline?
- Yes, supports offline English word definition.
Does it work in Facebook and Twitter?
- Absolutely! However, there is a minor limitation since Facebook and Twitter don’t allow copy to clipboard functionality.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Translations between the following languages are supported:
Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Hindi, Hmong Daw, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Klingon, Klingon (pIqaD), Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Maltese, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Welsh.

Great, it's working perfectly with Moon Reader+
Thank you very much! :highfive:
Google Translator, Google Translator, Google Translator! :good:
Good start! (The overall UI needs to be smoothed out...doesn't work all to well with non-standard DPI settings, though.
Interesting application. :good:
But instead of the floating icon and the requirement for me to copy the text until it's recognized I would prefer a deeper system integration:
The Translator icon should be in the same action bar as "select all", "cut", "copy" when text is selected.
If the translator icon is clicked only then the request to translate is sent and then the popup appears.
That would make it way less obtrusive.
Otherwise great idea...
How can you dismiss the icon?

With Inapp Translator, you can easily translate the whole text or part of it into your preferred language without closing the active application; you can see the translated result at the same place, on your screen.
In general, this app has been developed to offer a convenient way to translate without switching between applications and translator tool.
This onscreen translate helps you to send a quick response, in any language, when you are communicating with foreign friends via SMS, Facebook or Twitter (even when your Facebook or Twitter is open). It monitors the clipboard and automatically translates the content of it to the target language. You have the possibility to type your own sentence, translate immediately and paste it anywhere.
Inapp Translator can also be used as language education tool.
It is a free Android app based on Microsoft translator, supporting 45 languages and is compatible with any application that allows you copy text such as:
- Yahoo and Gmail
- Google Docs
- Google Drive
- Outlook Mail
- Office Tools

One way to make this easier to use would be by adding the ability to share text with the app instead of the app having to be manually started or having it run all the time. The user wouldn't have to copy the text, just select and share to translate. (Not every app has the 'share' option for selected text, but a lot do...)

Google Translator API is not free service anymore but Microsoft translator has 2M character free usage. As we just wanted to implement our idea and see how users like it we used Microsoft Translator. For sure I am planing to use Google translator also in next versions.

Thanks for the feedback. As I understood to get access to the "System" level actions, phone need to be rooted and I tried to avoid that. I am thinking to make a version with the functionality that you have described for rooted phones, that make it so easier for users.
I will update the UI and check the compatibility with non-standard DPI also.
Thanks letting me know.

Does anyone know of any good in-app translators?

It's just that playing lots of Japanese games nowadays, I am heavily using Google Translator to OCR screenshots. I am kinda wondering if anyone knows if a more easier option when it comes to translating text while in apps.
An app like Ever Translator is kind of what I am looking for, but it seems to have a really bad time picking up texts in game, or the translation seems very botched due to recognition or bad translation.
Or does someone know if someone is able to hack Google Translator and their usage of live camera word lens translation to use android's screen as a source? Or maybe instantly send screenshots to the google translator app that overlays on top of the current app?
One of my current method to translating live chats in Japanese is to use my phone's live camera to scan text ontop of my tablet. Obviously battery and position precision is an issue at that point.
Google translate u can download the language u want for offline use

Words – Multilingual Dictionary, Translator

I always wanted to fiddle with Android and create an app of my own. Now I've finally done it!
TL;DR: Dictionary + Translator with support for multiple languages. You can customize the languages. You can also use the camera/gallery to scan text from images and search/translate it.
Words – Multilingual Dictionary, Translator
Knowing more than one language, I always wanted a dictionary that could quickly search for a word and give me the results in the languages I'm interested, but also work as a good simple dictionary. I couldn't find something that would satisfy me and I said "Hey, why not do it myself?". So I did it!
Overall, I'm really satisfied with what the app turned out to be. I can only hope now that it will be useful to other people. I'd really appreciate some feedback on this, as I spent countless hours tweaking the app and making sure the end product is something worthy of a Google Play Store entry
Cheers!
