LCD replacement. - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Accessories

Both glass and the LCD touch screens are damaged, so I would need a total LCD + digitizer replacement. As I can read that it is glued together anyways, it is my only option.
Which replacement screen brand works the best? Can someone post some links?
I am in Turkey, Istanbul if that makes any difference.
Thanks!

Dealextreme Digitizer replacement= success

I ordered the digitizer from deal extreme that was around 30 bucks, it took about 15 days from the day of purchase to when it showed up at my doorstep in oklahoma. Coming from Hong Kong thats about average I think.
The digitizer itself is indistinguishable from the original HTC one, the replacement was not easy but it only took me about an hour and a half. If this was my first phone repair ever it'd probably have taken me 4 hours or so. If you have all the proper tools and have dissasembled a phone before it should be fairly easy and quick. The worst part is that the digitizer is glued to the frame on the nexus with firm pressure I popped the stock one out and replaced it with the new one using loctite brand superglue to affix the new one.
All in all I highly recommend this digitizer and if you have the tools and the time do it yourself I couldn't bring myself to pay someone over 100 bucks to fix my phone.
Cheers for the info, I bought one from eBay which looked identical in the picture. However when I received it, it lacked the bottom buttons and top curve meaning I had gaps at both the top and bottom. Long story short I need to purchase another in the coming weeks and was looking at this one, thanks again
Forgive my extreme noobness here, but digitizer - is it the thingy that's responsible for registering touches on the screen?

Yes it is. Its top part of the screen that you touch and that part that gets scratched/ broken when people drop it.
Cool!

It seems to be more responsive than the stock one but I bet when the other one got cracked it lost some response so I don't have anything good to compare it to now.

Just wanted to let you guys know
Tonight I replaced the S-LCD for my N1 with an ebay one, and the speaker with an ebay one too.
It was stressful because there was always the chance you could break it. Thankfully it was a success* and I did spend a couple hours applying new BSE and Clarivue protectors too.
Phone feels like new (its only 2 months old btw...) hehe
N1 is a great developer phone truly. In all aspects of the word. I see it now!
*did scrape my bottom "U-cover" ..the one which has the HTC logo. A little teflon peeled at the edge with the plastic pry tools (they're really not too strong though and wore quickly i might add. Recommend using a guitar pick like i saw one guy use on the online videos).
Anyways, short of buying a replacement of the $11 part, I'm really please with this phone
Is it possible to swap the AMOLED screen with an SLCD screen or are there actual hardware differences between the two models preventing that swap?

Good question. I was going to say "No, because I read it somewhere on the forums that you can't" , but then I found this thread:
http://androidforums.com/nexus-one/...ny-way-backup-wipe-before-sending-repair.html
Turns out the guy sent his AMOLED N1 to HTC to get repaired, and that they changed it with an S-LCD without changing his scratched digitizer.
I'm guessing that they are cost effective and mindful with warranties, so I doubt that they would have changed the whole Mobo for S-LCD functionality.
Again, this is just heresay and postulation.
"Got jacked.. 180 euro and all they did was replace my cracked Amoled with an SLCD... the blacks and gradients on the SLCD are awful. I was told the cover glass came together with the amoled. Mine is a little scratched so that would have been worth the extra $$. I had gone online to look around and found out after I prepaid that the front glass and the amoled are completely separate. My prepaid receipt just stated repair screen... so I could not go after them for not swapping my front glass. Anyways rant over. Very happy to have the phone back but it is not the same without the amoled."

Hey bud,
I thought about this yesterday, but short of a definitive answer coming through from other devs, i thought I'd offer to mail you my S-LCD (pre-replacement one, with some minor humidity damage, only viewable at an above 39 degree angle)...to you for free* (just paypal me the shipping. It'll probably be like $5 by weight). Let me know.

glass screen or (display) parts

hello pls help, need me internet shop with worldwide shiping , sell original display or glass screen ? pls tell me
https://www.wholesalegadgetparts.com/search.php?mode=search&page=1&keep_https=yes
I've bought from them before: service is good, shipping is fast and product is OEM.
The digitizer assembly would include the actual glass correct? Of course my inquiry is less urgent as op's since I just want to get rid of some scratches
i cant find only glass , may be your find?
arnt the glass and the LCD glued together to form one uniform piece?

It's possible to change only digitizer?
No, its not posible to change only the glass. And good luck finding a screen in stock that actually works. I had a screen i replaced fail and seen many stories of refurbs with screen issues if you have good luck let me know because i still have one infuse that needs a screen. When buying the second screen for it (the company i got the first one from was very un cooperative) they didn't have one in stock but decided not to tell me that till i complained... i got fed up and bought another infuse for about the same price. There should be a few available in the xda market place.

[Q] Desire S digitizer

I am looking for HTC Desire S digitizer replacement, because mine is pretty scratched from previous owner. Of course I will buy it from ebay, but I am wondering am I looking for right digitizer?
For example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Touch-S...ultDomain_0&hash=item27bc37a0c0#ht_3927wt_952
Digitizers list: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trk...tpos=&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1513&gbr=1&_pgn=1
Will this one fit for me perfectly? I am little confused, because looking for my phone ebay shows me digitizers for HTC Desire S S510E G12, and so far I know that's dual card chinese copy...

it should be ok. But i'm always wary of stuff that comes from Hong Kong (no offence to anyone and yes i understand most of the cheap stuff from UK sellers is the same thing)
Also this one seems better because the tools are free with it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DIGITIZER-T...939?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a19160cf3

the actual glass and the digitizer are two different things. So if it's just the digitizer, that's fine
i agree, i would be cautious ordering from hong kong on ebay as i have many times had issues with sellers when ordering phone parts..
I am not wondering about buying parts from ebay/HK this time as will it be allright for my phone...

Oh, I didn't even realise that. Will there be any noticable difference from original digitizer now on my Desire S and that one selling @ ebay for 10-15$ ?

well the last time i changed the digitizer was with the iphone 3g. The replacement was a cheap £10 one and to be honest i could not tell the difference.

are you saying that over this digitizer screen we have one more protecting glass ?
then there is no reason to OP change digitizer

If i'm correct it usually works like this: lcd--gorilla glass--digitizer and they're all glued together.
If you follow a tutorial such as this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaawEVWZvG4 you should be good.
I think Gorilla glass is what you touching wit you fingers (scratch protection for digitizer) and front glass with digitizer is in one part as in picture posted before. So if you buy cheap china touch screen - you will get digitizer with plastic on top. As I said - you can forget Gorilla Glass front lens.
R.
Dont mean to jump on someone else's thread but didnt see the point of making a new one. im getting a lot of ghosting/ image bleed. would it be a digitizer replacement i need? if so is it easy to replace and could i use my existing glass as it is in really good nick.

This is what you should use if you could get it. You'll have to custom cut it, but there's nothing better that I could find. Make sure to remove the old adhesive entirely from the plastic bezel. And be careful when you put the display assembly back in. Do not strain, pinch or tear the digitizer ribbon cables.

I understand this type to be for industrial use, so I doubt it you can find it in any store. I did look but couldn't find any in retail in the US. It's manufactured by 3M, an American company. You're in Rome, hehe, go figure the odds.

Original screen glass replacement?

Hi. I cracked the glass on my S4, and cant seem to find any replacement parts on the internet which are original.
Is it at all possible to get an original screen glass, and if not - Where would be the smartest to buy an non-original if considering quality?

My kid cracked his phone as well. Went to this lil kiosk in the mall and they cost like 150 to fix. Better off going thru the asurion to get a new phone.
I'm also interested, there's no way to find any information of the screen quality on the Internet as far as I can see.
I'd like just the glass as the phone works well, don't mind trying to replace it with tutorials available.
A friend of mine actually broke his screen and found a place to buy a replacement. He has the Sprint variant... I doubt they're not compatible... I'll ask him and see what I can find!
I have replaced a glass (on a separate phone) and glass+digitizer both purchased from etradesupply dot com. Their stuff seems to be legit OEM. I recommend them.

Ah, I was wrong, he literally only needed the outside glass so.... that's why it was so cheap. Sorry!
But that site looks like they have legit stuff.
At SSC very Expensive

You can buy from witrigs.com. I heard it from other members who bought the replacement parts of Sony Xperia Z1 from here. It seems not bad.

Good luck. If you are doing just the glass, just remember to take your time. The adhesive on the OEM glass is quite a pain to remove but it can be done without damaging the digitizer. Slow and steady! :good:
I replaced my severely cracked screen with a $6 replacement off ebay. Slooooow, steady process to remove the original screen being stuck to the digitizer with a clear adhesive. There are several videos on youtube to demonstrate the process. The new one works fine, although it is a little more reflective than the original. The touchscreen works well, but perhaps slightly less sensitive than before. A nice touch of the new screen is that the Back & Menu buttons are now blue, which looks good and is less bright than it used to be, which is an upgrade, to me. I'd say it leaves the phone about 95% as good as as it was before I dropped it. To me, well worth it to save $170 to extend the life of the phone until the S6 or S5 Prime or LG G3 or whatever phone is a big enough upgrade to make me jump. I did have a Note 3 for 9 days and it was epic, noticeably better than the S4 in pretty much every aspect, except that it was simply too big to deal with on a daily basis. But it did give me a nice dose of the level of performance I can look forward to with my next phone.
I also broke my glass few days ago and was thinking with replacing it with the new black edition glass that has no texture, just pure black. Does anyone know where I would be able to get my hands on that glass?
Thanks in advance!

If you don't want to mess with the adhesive buy the screen with the frame included. It's more expensive but much easier to replace and keep the phone in perfect condition.

Search eBay for "galaxy s4 screen frame genuine", at least if they send you a counterfeit item you can open a Paypal dispute for selling fake items.
You can buy the screen with the frame or not. I always buy with the frame.
Here's an example of the screen+digitizer (no frame), 132$
Genuine Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 i9505 i337 M919 LCD Screen+Digitizer Touch Glass
Screen+digitizer+frame, 217$
Details about Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 4G LTE Black Screen LCD Glass on Frame *GENUINE SAMSUNG*
The screen & digitizer will fit any S4 variant. But if you're buying one with the FRAME as well, there are 4 to choose from.
i9505 - fits i9505 ONLY
i9500 - fits i9500 ONLY
i545 - fits L720 & R970 also
i337 - fits M919 and i9505G also
I had mine done by a guy on Ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/usr/thumbstar?_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754
Cost be about 65 bucks shipped. He uses the LOCA glue method (OEM style), not the double sided tape like most of the retail stores do. Sent it off and had it back within a few days. I just sent him my phone w/o battery and cover. Came back perfect in my opinion.
my local sprint store was going to repair my damaged LCD for $75... included new glass
