Solved: pull down status bar , top right hit the 3 dots then hit statusbar
Hey guys , I want to know how to enable the percentage next to the battery icon on the top right of the screen
Does someone know how to do this ?
I am from Germany and got the pie update by OTA after that I did a hard reset.
It seems like the way like it was done on oreo bin removed ( settings, device maintenance, battery, dots, advanced settings )
It's also now called device care and the advanced settings are completely removed
Help would be appreciated
Greetings Cees.

Hi,
I'd like to replace the stock battery indicator in the status bar with one that would indicate the remaining % of available battery.
I've looked into the Market without finding such simple tool (I'm not looking for any other fancy battery widget/tool).
So far, I found "Battery Notif", an app that does almost what I'm looking for: Battery Notif adds another icon in the tool bar with a battery % indicator but it does not remove the stock battery icon. So I end-up with 2 battery icons in the status bar, one with percentage, one without.
Does anyone know an app that would fit my needs (free preferably), or could create such app?
Altenatively, could anyone tell me how to remove the stock battery indicator because I'd be happy to keep with Battery Notif?
Thanks in advance
Surfinette
PS: I have a rooted HTC Desire with custom ROM 2.1
Would be interesting for me too!!!
There are two such Apps available that both show a figure in percentage in the notification bar which are very good.
1. Battery Alarm
2. Battery Minder.
Both have notifications and both show different types of info in the drop down notification window.
I've installed them both and am currently using the second one Battery Minder.
1. Battery Alarm
2. Battery Minder.

I've just tried both apps you suggested, but they don't really solve my problem:
1. Battery alarm doesn't seem to show % in the status bar and does not remove the stock alarm indicator from the status bar
2. Battery Minder indicates battery level in % (so does Battery Notif which I'm using) but does not remove the stock battery icon
What I'm really looking for is how to remove the stock battery icon from the status bar (so that I can use a more useful battery indicator such as Battery Notif)
Thank you anyway for your help

No problem... sorry they weren't suitable.
Strange though that you say Battery Alarm does not show the percentage as on my Galaxy S it did.
Go into spare parts if your rom includes it or download it. In that app, there is an option for displaying battery percentage which will display a number over the stock battery indicator except when it is at 100. I recommend making the color of text white

I re-downloaded Spare Parts from the market and, similarly, there is no option for this... Did you download from somewhere else?

I too am looking for a complete solution for the two conditions from the OP:
I used Battery Indicator Pro while on stock, and now that I am rooted I am looking to remove the stock battery indicator because it doesn't display the same information in the notifications as:
Unplugged since xx:xx Time
Discharging from xx%
Temperature
**The battery indicator itself does not drain so there is no need to have white text and the battery indicator can change color at customized levels
I am using CM-6 and I know how to enable the battery %. There is an option to disable the clock from being displayed, but I don't know of any way to keep the battery indicator from being displayed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced...
I find that using Battery Indicator Pro actually boggs down the process and drains the battery. Try this next time.
Turn on on the battery indicator and access your OEM task manager and see how long the installed apps take to load.
Next, turn off the battery indicator and do it again and see how long will it take. You will see a definite improvement.
Try this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809588
If you're rooted - use this - it replaces the battery with circle battery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=724778#
If you're unrooted - use the prior post to add a notification bar circle battery icon. Your stock battery will still appear however.
ok...
Go to Settings / CyanogenMod settings / User Interface / Status bar --> here enable the battery percentage a make the color WHITE... so you will see it better.
Have Fun

You can also try out zdbox
It shows exactly what you need.
You can find it here:

If you want to see it on the lock screen, try simply lockscreen:

I am using Sky's ICS for the Skyrocket SG2. Ive flashed the latest update for the ROM and have a second, what seems to be, a status bar underneath the regular status bar, with just a battery icon. I can't seem to find whatever program is running that app to turn it off. Anyone know what or how to shut off that status bar?
Its battery status bar. TO remove it dload the battery bar.apk and you can remove it using the app.

I installed the battery bar.apk and went into the app. All it had was to hide the white battery bar at the top. I went through all the settings in the app and can't seem to find an option to remove the battery status bar =\.
it s the first option on the app where it says show battery bar just uncheck the box.

Yah that The "show battery bar" check box just hides the white bar at the very top of my phone. I'd post a picture but the forum won't let me =\. But yah its a battery bar UNDER the regular status bar.
So you got rid of it rite and the solution worked if it did hit that thnx button it helps to know someone appreciate the info.

Uh no it didn't fix the problem. I think there is a slight miscommunication somewhere here. I am having issues with the battery under my original status bar. It doesn't seem to be related with the battery bar mod. The battery bar mod seems to control the white bar up top which I already knew how to alter. It's this one that is right under my regular status bar. I'd post a pic but it requires that I not suck and have more than 8 post lol.
What is the problem with that battery icon?

I want it to go away. It's kinda redundant. I have the circle battery already I don't need a second battery icon underneath is =\
if your using sky ics rom with ics launcher then go hit menu then launcher settings then launcher status bar settings and uncheck show status bar (launcher)
Should take care of it.
OMG thank you! that fixed it! +1 thanks really appreciate it

Are you talking about having the battery percentage with the icon on the status bar? Stock Android (and in this case mostly stock) doesn't have that option. You can use what I use, power toggles, to have it pinned on the left side of the status bar. Not the greatest set up but for now it's all we got. Another reason why I really hope we see an unlocked boot loader so we can get some roms that will have this feature. :good:
Or you can two finger swipe down on the notification bar and it will show your percentage

Yes, that's what I was talking about... I added power toggles and put up top. Thanks
One of my biggest pet peeves and first world problems, is the battery icon or % or anything battery related whatsoever showing itself on my phone. I do not want to see the battery life displayed anywhere ever on my phone, it's too stressful and pisses me off seeing it. I know when my battery low, and will check it in the Settings menu myself like once a day, or see it when charging.
How do I get rid of the battery icon and % from showing in the lockscreen status bar ? I use the Xposed Wanam app to hide the battery icon on the home screen status bar. But for some reason I still see it on the lockscreen.
I have the T-Mobile Note 5, running an International Marshmallow ROM. I am using the latest official T-Mobile firmware, bootlloader, and modem. But previous Lollipop ROM's I was always able to hide any battery stuff on the lockscreen.
Any suggestions ?
Lockscreen showing the damn ugly and stressing me battery icon WHICH I NEVER WANT TO SEE EVER ON MY PHONE
Homescreen, without the battery icon, which is perfect.
Settings > Battery > Display Battery Percentage. Not sure you can disable the battery entirely tho.

Did that, and it get only gets rid of it on the main homescreens, not the lockscreen.
Can anyone advise me as to how I would change the battery icon on stock rooted MM?
I've tried Gravity Box and a number of other xposed modules but nothing seems capable of changing the standard battery icon in the status bar!
Any advise greatly appreciated.
I just want to change the battery icon to a circle battery with the percent in the middle
Thanks

Stock Aosp /GPE - Gravity Box
Stock HTC Sense - Xtended Settings
This should have gone into Q&A, not Themes and apps.
