Voice call stutter/crackling Whatsapp on receiving end (Galaxy S6+LineageOS) - General Questions and Answers

Whenever I try to call someone over Whatsapp (both on WiFi and LTE with good quality network) the receiver can not hear me well due to extreme stutter/crackling. It is not an issue when performing a normal phone call and the microphone quality when recording is completely fine.
I use a Galaxy S6 with LineageOS (latest version: 2019-01-26). It was already a problem when I used the default Samsung OS.
Any ideas what can cause this and if it can be solved?

Skype Microphone Issues

I installed Skype onto my rooted Galaxy SIII running 4.1.2 and ParanoidAndroid 2.56, my call quality is excellent through my cell line however trying to use Skype for video calls on my device leaves nothing but static on the other end. Even when I stay totally silent, the receiving line will not hear a peep but once I raise my voice, the white noise comes out to wreak havoc and does not stop until I mute the microphone in-call. Un-muting will only bring back the white noise. I can hear my caller just fine, but he cannot hear me. I have tried calling and receiving both ways through Wi-Fi, LTE and 3G connections to no avail.
I have also reset the dalvik cache and fixed permissions, in addition to disabling noise cancellation through the Call Settings on my phone. I'm running the kernel which came with my ROM, which I honestly cannot remember what it is. Would flashing another kernel help with a problem like this or would it only solve issues through my cell number's telephony? I have excellent call quality through my cell phone, but Skype itself leaves nothing but static even when I am not speaking. I would try to clean both my microphone holes on the bottom and the top if the static were to be on my cell telephony but it seems like it is only limited to Skype itself. I may try and back up my ROM through CWM recovery and wipe the system.
Anyone else experience an issue such as this and could give advice?
I use the Skype version found here:

I was having the same problem until I enabled Use MODE_IN_CALL found in the Sound Section of Advanced Settings. Hope this helps!

[Q] Redmi note call phone recorder

I've just received that new phone and I tried to use the built in phone recording app but the audio is not so good and the program isn't that good, for example I was having a working phone call and I got a call (which I didn't answer) from my parents, the phone has stopped to record the phone call just after the altert of the new phone call has popped out, is there any other working app that I could use to record the important calls?
Thank you.

Hi everyone i recently switched my phones ROM to Nougat android 7 , but i cant seem to receive incoming calls, there is no notification or display to the incoming calls, but am able to make outgoing calls this is the only bug i encountered
I hope there is a way to go around this issue since i have tried apps that may tend to answer your calls for you, but the problem seem to go down deep beyond the caller apps

Samsung A52 5G Microphone and Call Recorder issue

Hi
I am based in South Africa and have taken delivery of my A52 5G a fortnight ago. Great phone.
Could not find an onboard call recorder and installed Call Recorder from Playstore...
Since activating Call Recorder, I have intermittent WhatsApp video calling issues in that the recipient cannot hear me.
Also, when sending voice clips on WhatsApp, some voice clips contain no audio whatsoever. It is as if the microphone is turned off.
I have in the interim switched off all permissions for "Call Recorder", believing that this may be the cause of my issues...
Is there a software upgrade I can do to have the Samsung call record facility installed on my phone?
Could someone assist me with this?

Question Problem with sound in voice calls in messengers after upgrade to Android 13

I have Samsung galaxy A32 5g ,model sm-a326u. A 2-3 weeks ago it received OTA upgrade to Android 13 Tiramisu. And after that upgrade i can't use any voice calls via WhatsApp ,Viber, Google voice, skype, Signal, etc. - anything that uses microphone and internet calls. The other side hears very distorted voice, not recognizable at all. When I use test calls on Skype I hear the same, totally unrecognizable voice (can't test in WhatsApp or Viber, there are no test call options). I thought that is a mic problem, but no, video or audio recording from camera works without problems, online mic tests are passed too. Regular phone calls are fine, but no Google Voice calls. Also, if i use any Bluetooth headphones (I tested 3 different), there is no sound coming from me in internet calls to other side.
Please help
Looks like people have all kinds of sound problems after Android update, reported here Samsung Community forum and here, and here
I tried a few things to fix this issue: clear the cache partition of the phone (doesn't help at all), reset all network settings (doesn't help at all). Only Factory data reset seems to fix it. But it is not the best solution, a lot of apps and data can't be easy restored after that.
I had same issue on various Android 13 roms. Trying different roms did NOT fix the problem.
The FIX is to
Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload
Now all the messenger app's audio works perfectly!
Enjoy!
