Hello,
I have a Problem with the non rooted Version of YouTube vanced. When i sign in, the App hangs in the welcome screen and didn't sign me in.
I tried booth versions of the microG apk and different versions of the Youtube vanced apk. Every time the same Result.
My Mi mix 3 has unlocked bootloader and the stable eu rom but no root.
Downloads where made from the official Youtube vanced site.
Attached is a Screenshot where it hangs.
Permissions are all given to booth Apps.
Have anyone else this Problem or an idea how i can fix this?
No issues with my Chinese Mi MIX 3 running Global Stable 10.3.1.

I have the same issue on my asus phone, ZenFone 5z (it happens to me after I reset my device). Unfortunately i don't know how to fix it, I spent a lot of time on this problem trying to reinstall YouTube vanced over and over and trying to connect two different account's on two different devices.. unsuccessfully.

About that: i fix the problem on my devices. BUT, Unfortunately I had to reset them, And before any updates I installed the YouTube Vanced And the device runs it without any problem. I think there is conflict between the MicroG/YouTube vanced app and one of the updates.

I experienced this issue the other day - after scouring the internet - I found the fix for it.
* Uninstall updates for Chrome and then disable it.
* Sign into Vanced - it should work now.
* Re-enable Chrome

Great idea... Thank you so much. Worked like a dream. I actually uninstalled Chrome then reinstalled YouTube Vanced & MicroG and was able to log into my YouTube account with a problem... Once again, thanks for the advice ??
The fix do not work for me. Latest global beta, rooted. This phone ?. Love it but it's so strange that things work randomly for different users.
Now it works!!

This didn't work for me at first, but then I uninstalled and reinstalled MicroG first, then Vanced, and everything worked as expected..
After learning through a lot of smali guides on XDA , I finally managed to make my own Amazon Prime Mod
For many of us that don't have ChromeCast or any other external device to Cast to the Television or any other casting device , here comes a solution for the annoying Black Screen (Black Screen where only audio plays no video)
The black screen is a protection for the DRM content being played by Amazon and I managed to remove it
Features:-
Enabled Screen Mirroring (No need of chromecast or any screencast device)

Everything working fine on a rooted Galaxy Tab S2. I can finally cast directly to my tv from prime video. Thanks a lot!:good:

Hi, Thanks for the mod apks. I've not tried them yet. Funny thing is, prime works in Marshmallow without mod or virtual exposed, but not in higher android upgrades. But other apps like netflix don't work at all.
I just wanted to know if you could help us in telling what to mod in the apk, so I can try it in Other apps.

That Black Screen is restrictions for DRM content
Mostly all of that started after Marshmallow, therefore no issue to Android versions below that (ofcourse xD)
What I modded in this app was a flag which told a certain method if the content was DRM or not
For example if you take Prime certain sections can be cast to the screen and certain sections cannot
That flag determines it
So before you reverse engineer , you must know how to engineer
The key to engineering such a feature is Google

Now to reverse this
I first found out all occurences of FLAG SECURE throughout the app ( Don't ask me how, if you don't know you need to read all the other smail guides all around. it's the basics) and then a little knowledge of smali helped me disable it

thanks a lot.. you saved the day for me,..
Since this thread is receiving a good response and huge thanks to a guy called Joshua (who just PMed) me with the fix to work both Prime and Amazon shopping together, I'll post the latest apk for Prime with the black screen stuff removed
And also if possible I'll try to do it with Netflix too

I can't install your files from last april (can't uninstall the other Amazon apps, only deactivating since they are preinstalled as bloatware - but that won't help on my XZ2 device)
So at the moment I use an older device for streaming where your apk works. However, installation of the other Amazon apps like Amazon Photos fails...
So your updated apk will be greatly appreciated

I actually have a solution that worked for me that you can do yourself!
I cloned the official latest VS of prime using app cloner arm, and selected options : redirect external storage, allow screenshots, and disable screen mirroring. Despite what you would think, with those options enabled I am actually able to screen mirror through my phones video out (I haven't tried wireless mirroring but as nothing else was working for my video out I presume it will work as well)

Thanks for the App Cloner suggestion
I tried and also got the sync error after a while: could_not_create_sync_account.
Maybe there are some suitable options within AppCloner preventing this error?
However, clearing cache/data makes the app starting again.
So this is the best solution we have right now, unless someone provides new modded apk's...

That is exactly the problem we are currently discussing here.
So no, no solution yet!
At least until someday updated apk files are being distributed, as teasered in post #10...
Hey guys! I had the same issue with the prime video black screen and I was looking for a solution. Apparently I found the fix, just look and install the version 3.0.258.30941 or any version before december 2019( I tested it and it's working fine). Obviously never update the app

I found the solution. Just go ahead and use an old apk from say Jan 2019.
I used teh following site to get the old apk and it's working for me.

Tried, it doesn't work on modern phone (Android 11, MIUI 12) but it does work on an old phone (Android 6, MIUI 10). What could be the reason for this?
So I have vanced YouTube as magesik module installed, play protect is turned off, do not auto update is on, when I update my other apps YouTube is left out. But still every few days YouTube gets updated anyways, any idea what is doing the update and how to stop it?
It always does that, and we all know it's annoying. I guess we'll just have to deal with it until someone / Google fixes it, which they probably won't, might I add.
What about do not check for updates option, or disabling Google play when not needed?
What you could do is make YouTube Vance's a system app so if it does update you can just uninstall updates and go back to vanced.
or what you could do and i honestly prefer is to disable youtube app and install vanced no root version and it will of course never update plus you have the chance to re enable original app if you want to and both youtubes will co exist .
Sorry for offtopic question, but how to install vanced YouTube magisk module since it is not showing up in magisk manager now

You can try disabling the option for auto update by clicking on the three dot option when YouTube is viewed in playstore
You Can dissable youtube in oos seting, if it dissable no update. And install vanced no root version.

I was also curious, I just copied APK from older phone that still had it. So it seems they got their own app now called vanced manager that lets you install root and nonroot
Actually I found a way. https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/Detach
And youtube is vanced without microg, no longer showing in update
This is what I do, idk if it's helpful to you anymore but here it is.
I get Vanced Manager and install the root version of youtube.
Then I install xXx No Limits ROM and use it to detach YouTube from Play store.

I've currently been navigating to the website every time which seems to be a bit long winded but it isn't a dealbreaker. If anyone has a better suggestion I'd really appreciate it.

Hi Im using youtube vanced and it's working
YouTube Vanced is the only solution as far as I know. Very easy to install and works well.

Hi there,
The most recent way of installing Youtube Vanced is even simpler.
1. Just go to vanced.app and download Vanced Manager
2. Open it and you will see two buttons for installing latest MicroG and latest Youtube Vanced. Install them but don't open Youtube Vanced yet.
3. Add your google account in MicroG and only afterwards you can start using Youtube Vanced.
(Also you can update from Vanced Manager)
That's it.
Some YouTube Vanced seems to be what everyone recommends. I've never actually used it before. Is the layout etc basically just the same as standard YouTube app?

Just try it. I never used the original one.
With vanced music can run in the background, there are no advertisements and I think it looks the same..
And of course you can turn off the screen while listening to music.
Does anyone know why it is not possible to log in to vanced you tube on Poco X3 pro? It is on Xiaomi.EU rom and can use the vanced YT app smile not logged in but there is always an error when I try to log in.
I believe you have to install MicroG ontop (?) of Gapps to make that work. I use Vanced Manager on a Samsung phone without root.
Yes, there is no way to install it unless you have vanced micro g installed first. I also have it running fine on an un-rooted Xiaomi tablet. It's just that for some reason, whilst it works on the X3 pro you cannot log in to your account.
I have vanced install with microg on my Poco X3 Pro with Xiaomi.eu 12.5 and it works well, I'm able to log in to my account.
So maybe try to reinstall everything?

i Use Firefox with Addblock and Background playback addon. does almost the same.

It seemed to work fine on my end (xiaomi.eu), maybe try installing MicroG and then the rest?
There is a problem I think because I am supervising this device in Google family link. So I tried installing everything again and this time there was a message saying I need to install play services 8.6 minimum and have Android version 5.1 minimum both of which are obviously installed. I think it is probably time to give up...

"https://vancedapp.com" . I think you should first install vanced manager first to see all components are installed and updated.
I am using Indian version of X3 pro and everything runs fine for me.
