How do I find a method to unlock the Meizu BootLoader - General Questions and Answers

Sorry for my incorrect english but I'm using google translator because I'm italian.
Hello everyone, lately I'm finding a way to unlock the BootLoader Meizu M5c, I tried to take the devinfo, modify it, flash with adb or with root explorer, but nothing, the bootloader is not unlocked, if I do fastboot oem unlock says that the command is unknown, how do I find the way to unlock the BL, I do not even know if I modified the devinfo, I would like to understand how the exploit of the bootloader work on meizu m3 note, m2 note and m6 note or how to change the devinfo correctly to show that the bootloader is unlocked.
Or how to re-add the command fastboot oem unlock / flashing unlock.
I can also attach the original devinfo.

I don't personally have any Meizu devices and I can understand what you're asking for but, it's not very clear on a few items so please correct me if I'm wrong with the following...
Are you just asking about how to Unlock the Bootloader for the following devices because you are unable to locate anything on the XDA Forum for any of them?
Meizu M2 Note
Meizu M3 Note
Meizu M5c
Meizu M6 Note
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UNLESS asked to do so, PLEASE don't PM me regarding support. Sent using The ClaRetoX Forum App on my Enigma Machine {aenigma = Latin for "Riddle"}.
No, you misunderstood, I'm asking how to unlock the bootloader of the meizu m5c based on exploit/method of the meizu m2 note or m3 note or m6 note that are devices exploited because normally the bootloader can not be unlocked because Meizu has done so that if you do fastboot oem unlock give you the error "unknown command"
Thank you very much for clarifying this! :thumbup:
Have you looked at the thread that reflects the process for Unlocking the Bootloader for the Meizu M2 Note to see how/if it can also be applied to the M5c?
You understood but I also said that if the m2 note method does not work then use the m3 note method, or the m6 note method or find another flaw.
Unlock methods are usually device and firmware specific. The method is usually different from one model number to the next, even if the devices are similar and made by the same manufacturer. Also, some devices have more than one firmware build number/version and unlock method can be different for each build number/version or one or more of those build numbers/versions can be unlocked but the others can't be unlocked.
Basically, the unlock depends on the specific device and has nothing to do with how other devices are/were unlocked, what applies to one device, does not necessarily apply to a different device.
Just do a Google search for:
"Unlock bootloader (your specific model number here)"
If that doesn't find anything for your specific device then there is not a known unlock method for that device. You'll have to experiment on your own to find a method that works.
You answered yourself, I would like to see if the exploits also work on the meizu m5c. So I would like to experience those exploits on the meizu m5c to see if they work.
I didn't ask a question, so I couldn't have answered myself. My answer just wasn't the answer you were looking for. You are asking about using the exploits from one device on a different device, in my answer, I said that what works on one device model number, typically does not work on a different model number, but I'm guessing you missed that or purposely ignored it because it doesn't suit your purposee.
No, I did not want to ignore it, but maybe who can say that an exploit can work on another device, maybe by changing something.
Who can say that maybe the flaw has not yet been corrected and that it is working on 2 different devices.
But I think I'm wrong.
Please anyone help me, after try reflashing my meizu m5c black screen but still can read vcom port.. help me please error auth file
Dont press any button when flashing
Which Smartphones have Unlockable Bootloader & Can be rooted?
Post amended for better notability:
According to Sir Zelendel's recommendations and this website's list of top smartphones, I have the four products to choose the refurbished/pre-used smartphones from:
Google Pixel
Samsung Galaxy
One Plus
Honor
Click to expand...
So my next query is:
Can the earlier editions/versions of these products also have their bootloaders unlocked/re-locked and be rooted/unrooted?
The explanation behind my brief query in details:
I have assimilated what my teacher here has advised.
I decided that I will buy a 2nd hand, Out-Of-Warranty smartphone for regular use and all sorts of experimentation.
I have been perusing the forum threads. I then searched the forum threads via Google (I know how to ) for better results . Appears that I have found some encouraging posts.
The problem is that people don't leave proper information about whether their problem was solved. This creates problems for the newcomers. They dont have enough guidance.
Skimmed them. A few of them look encouraging. Will take some time to assimilate
I also found that the forum lists the following as the top SmPh:
Samsung Galaxy S9
One Plus 5T
Google Pixel 2
One Plus 5
Samsung Galaxy S8+
I assume that these mobiles can have their bootloader unlocked as well as the OS rooted?
I remember from my earlier lesson that Honor and One Plus 5T are definitely compatible with my plan to experiment.
Since these are new arrivals in the market, I might not find a 2nd hand SmPh from these said models.
So based on your vast experience, please feel free to advise me to go ahead and buy a SmPh in which I could exercise either of the two options: unlock the bootloader and root/unroot the OS.
Just a little clearification. All devices come locked when you open the box. Unlocking the bootloader and rooting it are allowed on those devices and on the One plus devices it doesnt void your warranty. Unlocking and rooting are really easy. a couple of PC commands, and one zip flash and boom you are unlocked and rooted.
Thank you, Sir.
But can those smartphones, that can easily be unrooted and their bootloaders, unlocked, be again re-rooted and bootloaders, locked, after necessary amendments, respectively?
After I have bought one of these devices I shall proceed to seek advice on how to do these.
In the meanwhile, and needless to say, I shall also search the forum posts using Google, for further info.
Thank you, Sir, for replying to the post.
Yes removing root is as simple as flashing a stock rom and then relocking the bootloader with one PC command.
If you have Firefox on PC you can use the XDA search plug in. It is far better then the built in search.
Not all devices can have an unlocked bootloader. The vast majority cant. I have never even heard of that device so I cant say for sure. But is you cant unlock the bootloader with the switch in developer settings and the PC command then you may have a device that you cant unlock the bootloader on.
Yes, Sir. In Linux it is very simple, almost a no-brainer. But I don't know why the Android programmers have made the issue complicated.
In Linux you don't really remove root access. It is still there in the system. Not so on Android due to it being turned off in the kernel and having no built in UI.
Yes, true, we just allow some commands and users to become root, and then remove the root privileges.
This part I don't really understand because of my lack of experience with android.
I am studying android-x86, but I am not making much of a headway.
I would really want to know as to how is it turned off in the Kernel. Which portions of the kernels are removed, or hashed/silenced.
Please create your own thread & post your questions there, Mr.Shivom
A minor request to Mr. Shivom786.
Could you please create your own thread and ask your questions there please? This is my thread where I am seeking advice. Only my advisors are supposed to have posted here. This is an unwritten decency code that is supposed to be maintained in conversations.
I apologise for using the word 'decency' explicitly, Mr. Shivom, and hope that I shall be apologised.
If you have a problem creating a thread I could help you. You could click in xda-developers → General discussion → Questions and Answers, and use the "New Thread" button.
Please don't forget to click the 'Thanks' button below this post if you believe you were helped .
Have an LG K30 and want to see custom software and twrp? Look Here
I currently build 64bit LineageOS for the LG K20 Plus which is extremely similar to the LG K30 Plus. I would like to start supporting the LG K30 but I don't have the device or know anyone with it to pull stock configs from. If you have an LG K30 and want to see custom ROMs brought to it, please send me a message or respond to this thread and I'll do what I can to get you hooked up with LineageOS.
I have an LG K30. I actually recently contacted the admins about adding the forum section for it. I'd be willing to do whatever you need.
It will need 3 pages worth of threads before it gets its own forum. We don't even have one for the K20 Plus yet and I've been developing for it for months. Anyways if you could look up my K20 plus lineage thread and message me on Telegram. I'll be happy to get some device specific info from you so I can build twrp without risking breaking your phone. Thank you in advance. I want to help your device get a swift start on custom software
I will contribute whatever I can to help you with a custom recovery for the k30. Any filesystem dumps or any other info you may need. I acquired this phone yesterday and would like to see some devs become interested in this model.
I'll make twrp for it when I get home tonight.
Is there anything that I can do to help?
I too am willing to help out anyway that I can. I also have Telegram if anybody is interested in working further there as well.
Once/if a bootloader unlock method is established for this device, I have TWRP built for the K30. So once somebody manages to bootloader unlock this device, PM me on here or on Telegram and I'll send you the recovery.IMG and the install instructions I know of. However I'm not sure how this will be possible with a non-removable battery.
I haven't unlocked the bootloader for my k30 yet.. but I'll update when it is unlocked.
Just got a 150mb update today. Havnt took it yet. Trying to locate the file and poke around.
LG will most likely be pushing out an Oreo update for this device, the K20 plus and stylo 3 plus were included in the Stylo 4 plus kernel source (the stylo 2 plus was removed). However with this device having a non user-removable battery it may never see an official bootloader unlock method
Huawei P20 Pro 6/64 CLT-AL01
Hello everyone
I got my Huawei P20 Pro 6/64 CLT-AC01 today in the mail.
It is locked to Chinese region, and doesn't has any of the gapps installed.
I looked for several hours through the forum and on Google today, and I can't find any way to flash a different region ROM to it (often referred to as Debranding)
Also, I read that Huawei canceled the option to unlock the bootloader - I tried it on several ways today and got to a 404 on the unlock page.
Could someone tell me how do I change the region of the device to a normal international one?
Thanks! Can't wait to start using this beautiful device.
Yours is uncommon one indeed. 90-99% P20 Pro out there is 6/128GB, yet you have 6/64
I talked to Huawei support in 3 countries.
They refuse to supply me with an unlock code and it looks like i'm stuck with this device
You probably got either a early test device or a fake one.
It's the Chinese P20 Pro is normal to have 64GB...
I was in the same situation, same model of phone, two weeks ago but I had luck getting the unlock code the last day. When the unlocked bootloader I could debrand the phone following the guide in this forum. As they won't give the unlock code, your only option is funky or dc-unlocker when they support the phone. Also I found an indian guy that maybe could do it, his webpage is called ministry of solutions . But I don't know if it is reliable.
Good luck
I know you people are modding enthusiasts but sorry to let you down. Iqoo feels like it's similar to apple. It doesn't allow bootloader unlocking. You may see bootloader unlocking option in developer menu but it's just redundant. Iqoo and most Vivo phones doesn't support bootloader unlocking. So please don't waste your time searching for this.
