hello, i have an 32GB sd card SanDisk Ultra that i bought last year (2018) and my phone is Nokia 5 2017, and i set the sd card into an internal storage to add more, but then the android 9 came in and after 2 days my phone just went crazy so i reformat my phone and then after with the phone set up, i notice that my sd card just got suddenly unsupported so i reformat it in the phone but the phone can't reformat it same as setting it to internal again nothing works, when i set it up to be internal again theres an java error called "java.lang.stringandroid.os.storage.VolumeInfo.getId() on a null object reference" something, so i reformat it the PC and STILL NOTHING WORKS, diskpart, chkdsk, clean, select partition 1 blah, blah all cmd commands but it only displays "no volume, RAW,ERROR," and when i check it on disk management theres no drive letter no file system and it only shows a partition of 16mb and 29GB and healthy primary partition, and when i check again in cmd and disk management with an working sd card to compare the problematic one has GPT checked in it so try 3rd party application like AOEMI,EASEUS,MINITOOL, and still nothing workssss reformatting it with other phone or setting it an internal storage still nothing works, and i dont know what to do but trying to get help in this forum so guys please help me with this a rare kind of problem inmyopin..

Hi guys,
My phones micro-sd card has been acting strange and was not being recognized at times by my phone. I then proceeded to put it in its SD card adapter and put it in my Mac and got an error saying the card was unreadable. I then put it in a reader on my PC and everytime I try to access the drive it gives me the 2 errors, "You need to format the drive...etc" and after clicking cancel it says that my drive is an unrecognized file format.
Recuva says it can't read the boot sector and running chkdsk gives me the message that the file format is RAW.
Just tried running ReclaiMe file recovery and it says the card is only 30.6MB while it is actually a 32GB card.
Do you guys think there is any hope? Or should I just move on?
Any help would appreciated. Got a lot of pictures and music I would love to save on the drive, plus ROM backups.
Thanks so much

I've killed an SD card before.. not sure how.. it had been partitioned EXT3 for a rom on a desire.. then re-formatted to normal..
but the problem came months after without notice one day the camera was failing and the gallery wouldn't open..
I tried a new SD card and things were fine so I figured the SD card died
Try to use MiniTool Partition Wizard on your pc, and delete ext partition and swap stay only on fat32. if that does not work format your card to exfat. If that doesn`t work try use program "winhex"(before i used it, my computer hadnt read my card). I repaired my card 3 times these methods.
You can use this ONLY on memory card reader.
I have been using a 4gb memory card out of which 3.6 was usable. One day, I connected it to my chromebook and transferred a few files and directly pulled the wire off forgetting about ejecting the device and turning the usb mass storage off. Then I opened the file manager it was showing total storage:447MB and availabel storage:447MB. pls help me with this problem.
Here you go
First point first - Backup your data
I assume that you have access to a Windows or a Linux desktop...
For Windows you will need Minitool Partition Wizard Free Version...
For Linux - GParted will do the job...
----------------------------------------------------------
For your specific problem, it appears to me that the primary partition of your SD card is accidentally shrunk...
So, Plug in your SD card
Open up Minitool Partition Wizard or GParted, find your SD card.....
... and if I am right, you can see 2 or more partition in your SD card
[Make sure you have backed up your data before proceeding]
1. Delete all of the partitions present in your SD card one by one (right click on the partition to find 'delete')
2. You will now end up with an unallocated space of size of your SD card.
3. Right click on that unallocated partition and Create
4. Make sure your new partition is Primary, NOT LOGICAL, and FileSystem = FAT32
5. Apply your changes, and your SD card will be showing it's full capacity.
Thank you I will try it out and let you know if it works
One reason may be that your sd card has some bad sectors due to which some part of the sd card may not be accessible or maybe there is some kind of virus in your sd card. Actually it happened with me also but in my case it was my pen drive and the reason was some of the sectors were not working properly and at last pen drive did'nt work at all....
If that is the reason wouldn't formatting the sd card work out.
Hi folks,
I have an SD card here that I was using for Adopted Storage but I've managed to get it stuck as an "adopted" card and can't seem to get it back functioning as a normal SD card
Long story short... I wiped the device the card was in but I didn't "unadopt" the SD card before hand - as in set it back to portable mode. While the device could recognise there was an SD card afterwards, it couldn't prepare it for use and suggested a card error or something to that effect.
I figured I'd just pop it in my laptop (Windows 10 x64) and re-format it but this didn't work. Failing this, I decided I'd "nuke" it using Minitools Partition Wizard. While this program had better luck identifying the card, could display and delete the partitions on it and could run the Wipe task - it had no effect on the card... the partitions just re-appear after any attempt to nuke them!
Has anyone any ideas about how I can restore this card back to a normal FAT formated SD card?
Just to clarify - I don't care for the data that might be on it... I just want the card back usable
Thanks
Recovering an "Adopted" SD Card?
The best solution for now would be to plug the sd card into a phone with android 6.0 so that the phone can read the card and then while setting it up,you can format the card as "normal "(the part where it asks you whether to use the card as in adaptive storage or for accessing files).

Click to collapse
When I try this, I get "Unsupported SanDisk SD card"
I'm then asked to select either Portable or Internal and then Erase & Format but neither work. They fail at 20% and the message "Unsupported SanDisk SD card" is shown again
I'm a bit stumped. I thought surely the encryption used on adopted cards was only to stop external reads. It seems in this case it's stopping me from writing to or formating the card
Running out of options
Hi ! I am new to XDA...
My HTC 10's - SD Card (Sandisk 200 GB) with Adoptable Storage is Corrupted - Help Need...
As i was browsing my phone, one fine day, I got a prompt on HTC 10, that my SD card was unmounted, it instructed me to remove and re-insert my SD card back again...I did as per the instruction, but my HTC 10 fail to recognize my SD card...
After several attempts (removing and putting back the SD Card) the same issue persisted...
So what i did was, I removed & re-installed the SD card when i was in the Settings Menu>Storage..As i was inserting the card it Phone tries to read and it displays SD Card is Corrupted...
Since my SD card is configured as Adoptable Storage (SD Card as Internal Storage) some of my apps are missing...also my photos, video and other files are also missing...
Please help me, how to go about recovering my SD card...the right way..
I have a PC with windows Vista,so i tried to connect the SD card with an SDHC Adapter to my PC via the On Board Card Reader..It did not recognize... I went in to My Computer>Right Click> Manage> Disk Management> It shows the SD as healthy partition's as 16 MB and 183 GB...Without any drive letter...I tried to right click and assign a drive letter, I am unable to assign a drive letter in the Disk Management Console...I assume if i am able to assign a drive letter, I will be able to Run Check Disk from a Command Line to Check for and fix Disk Errors and hopefully recover my SD card data...
Hello,
I have a problem with Link2SD which I hope someone knows an answer for. My setup looks like this:
Hardware
Galaxy A3 (2017) - SM-A320FL
SanDisk Ultra MicroSD (64 GB)
Software:
Android 8.0.0 (A320FLXXS3CRK1)
Newest TWRP for my phone
Newest Magisk
Universal Init.d Injector v2.2 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/mod-universal-init-d-injector-wip-t3692105)
How I setup the partitions of the microSD
First Partition as FAT32 (Primary) with a drive letter assigned. Second Partition ext4 (also Primary) without a drive letter. MiniTool Partition Wizard was used for this process.
Also tried a few variations of the above like making the second partition ext2 or setting the first partition to active but in the end it all made no difference
Now the strange part ....
The partitions are properly detected when I connect the microSD to the PC using a card reader.
The first partition is also detected as external memory by android and I can use it like every other SD with one partition
Link2SD is also able to detect the second partition, mount it at start and link apps to it
The problem is that my PC wont detect the sd card when I connect the phone to it. When I reformat the SD back to one partition the SD card is detected without a problem (explorer showing the internal memory aswell the external memory)
[*]Sometimes the card is also shown as not detected in the default samsung file explorer even tho the apps moved to the sdCard are stil working
Does anyone have a clue what is happening here or what I am doing wrong?
Dear user
I am having the same troubles with my a320fl when attempting to use 64gb sd card partitioned with fat32 and ext2/ex4.
Once I enter the card in the phone and restart it doesn't register on the phone.
I hope someone else can help us!
I have the same problem, also with a 64GB Samsung Evo, could this be an A3 issue?
