So, I thought I'd start a separate thread that will have the places people have seen where this device is available and how much it's being sold for currently. I got this this morning:

Now, the link and title both say:
3Gb RAM
32Gb ROM
Oh, one thing that is very important. When you create an account with this site, they send you back and email containing both your username and password in cleartext TO THE EMAIL FROM WHICH YOU SIGNED UP. If you aren't understanding why this is important, they pretty much exposed your personal information to anyone doing email sniffing. What I mean by that is if anyone intercepts the email back from these people they have access to your account which most likely, if you've ordered from them, has your credit and addresses/shipping information. Means, they can order stuff on your card and have it shipped anywhere else.
In the end, I wouldn't order from these folks, not only because they seem really bad about specs, but because their site is really insecure in how it handles personal information (PII). Who knows how they handle PCI?
Yet, the price is $369, the specs say that the housing is plastic, and quite a number of other "discrepancies" that make no sense to me, but I'm pasting/sharing this. I imagine, eventually the pricing and the specs and compatibility will shake out based on the units that do get sold. I also speculate that the pricing will drop based on units sold.
Does anyone else think the price will drop of this device?
Could be fake, the price Huawei announced in German is something like 499 or 599 euros
be careful.
The price in China for the 32G/3G ram is around 600 USD/
Think about it before place your order
Being careful is easy, being conned is easier

Which is why I'm making this thread for people to post sites and prices they've seen.
As far as this site goes, they take payment through paypal and credit card. Either way, you're not in bad shape, not great, because you'll still have to go through the process of trying to get your money back.
Cavet emptor, right.

I posted this yesterday. It's Aliexpress.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Orig...-Fuselage-6-1920x1080P-3G-RAM/2037325619.html
Price listed is $600-647. I think it's only the Gold 3GB/32GB version though. (pic below)

Aliexpress is a very reputable site to buy stuff. The only downside is if you bundle a few things together, so, I added a glass screen shield and a clear backed TPU case and each and every one shipped separately. They're like the Amazon of China and while Amazon can give you the ability to bundle all the disparate vendors into a single shipment, i don't think AliExpress lets you do that.

I'm still not sure about the bands/frequencies it supports. It shows both FDD and TDD, but the frequencies listed don't exactly match with T-Mobile. I guess i'll have to wait and see.

Not disagreeing with you at all. I'm in the same boat with T-Mobile. the worst that will happen is that I'll get 3G and no 4G. Most days in most places, I'm on WiFi any way. However, it's nice to have a device that's actually supported.
Same as on 3 UK they use band 3 and band 20 looks like only one band supported
I suggest oppomart.com use them a lot, always get the latest chinese phones first and for good price.

So, it's not guaranteed to work in the US
it's not guaranteed to be compatible with the LTE networks
it's overpriced.
Conclusion, wait until they release a US-compatible version.

I think the price is so expensive because Huawei really hasn't done a full release yet. It seems to just be trickling out. The one person who said they bought one had to go to China to get it. lol. I think once it's officially released that you will see a more reasonable price.
It is up on Amazon.de at a very reasonable €499, no expected stock date though.

I just tried it as a lark, won't ship to any US address in my book. This is also from what I can tell, for the 2Gb/16Gb version. Good luck to everyone out there. Gives me hope that the device is expected in stock then. Might be a feeding frenzy until a general release is made. I'd still suggest waiting. It's the difference between having it first, or having it at a reasonable price in my opinion.
You can use mailboxde to order from German amazon and have it forwarded to you.
Thank you

Thanks for that, should have known, i used to use a mail-forwarding site like this when I lived in Central America for my US mail. So, the EU to USD conversion is about ~$632 (give or take fluctuations in economies). Still, to me it's worth it to wait. This version is not compatible with the US-T-Mobile bands (or maybe it is, conflicting answers).

cuz... i like playing with new phone, I bought like 50 phones in the last 10 years
here is the phone i bought will 2011
Hi MI 4 people.
I bought Mi4 (3 GB Ram) from gearbest.com. Prior buying it I asked them a question if their mobile phones are genuine and will/not have Anti Counter Fiat label on it that can be verified on official MI website which they confirmed me back within a day that it will have it with a 20 digit scratch code.
Well, the mobile came, manufacturer seal was already broken means box was already opened, then most importantly there was no Anti Counter fiat label as well on the box. I did made video of first time unpacking/unboxing of it directly after receiving it.
Mobile seems to work ok so far but I find it strange it came with google play installed already, I did hard reset as well but still google play + third party ram booster/cleaner that display some ads as well and I find it quite weird. How can I know if its genuine or not but one thing is for sure that gearbest lied about Anti Counter fiat label, still have their emails and going through paypal dispute.
Model: Mi 4W
Android Version: 4.4.4 TU84P
MIUI Version: MIUI 7.0| Stable 7.00.55.00(KXDMICI)
Kernel: 3.4.0-g8035498-01459-g23g6696
Build Number: KTU84P
Anyone that can add help something here please?
Same here, I bought 2 weeks ago from Gearbest the same Mi4 3gb: no scratch code. Try here http://www.mi.com/verify/#imei_en with IMEI and S/N, to me it says "This IMEI does not exist", but with cpu-z i saw that hardware is genuine. Of course the pre-installed rom is fake (see here http://en.miui.com/thread-258601-1-1.html), I had the same firmware: you have to change it!

You cannot verify any mobile through CPU-Z. because all these mobile spare parts are extremely cheap and these people self assemble complete mobile sets through spare parts and this is what we (you, me and thousand others) bought too, so CPU-z will pass any mobile that matches hardware specs doesnt matter coming from genuine manufacturer or a small apartment in china town.
Your link was really helpful, I was not only able to find that my MI 4 is also fake but Serial number inside mobile sw is different from what it was printed on box. Means? fake box and a fake hardware (motherboard).
If you paid through paypal then open dispute immediately and ask for full refund! trying to find ways how to sue this gearbest company and word should spread out load.

This is just like Antutu Officer which you can directly install from google play and it will pass your/my mobile too. Try it. but again all these apps are checking hw configuration and matching it with their database. For some mobiles they will even display unknown devices if they cant find it in their DB.
Simple as that if you cant verify IMEI or ACF label on genuine manufacturer's website then everything else is just to make yourself happy.

They agreed everything and offered me to either return mobile on my own expenses or a refund of $47 on my gearbest wallet that I can use for further purchases from gearbest and were telling me all their policies and blah blah of return and conditions of returning forgetting no policies of selling fake products or for providing wrong information to a buyer even if he specially asked about same thing prior to buying to which they say we are sorry for all this. Its funny!
I rejected both and asked for $100 refund or return mobile after they pay me return shipping because its their fault for sending a fake MI/unauthentic mobile. It is even paypal buyer protection rules that if a seller is fraudulent or sold something unauthentic marketing it as authentic then we are most probably protected for 100% refund.
I sent them links of paypal buyer protection rules links to after which they never replied me again, I ended up escalating the dispute, so lets see.
Whats up with you? have you also opened dispute too?

Whats your update? I settled for a partial refund because paypal decided that if I need full refund then I must ship it back on my own expenses.
So now this fake device is mine anyway and I want to flash stock ROM to it. dam using it for almost a month now and its full of adwares with this rom it came with. I am evening thinking to reset all my passwords too, may be it also came with malwares/spywares as well which I dont know!
Were you able to install stock rom successfully and then later Google Play? just confirming because its a fake device so flashing a stock ROM might brick it, its written at gearbest sales page too that their devices run only on their install rom and changing it might brick it, and is there any way to make a copy of existing ROM installed for future if stock was not successful?

I opened a disput with Paypal but Gearbest says that I have to upload a video on Youtube about mi 4 problems...I haven't upload it yet. I installed after 5 days a Xiaomi.eu Kk rom, 1 week later I installed marshmallow official with miflash and xiaomi.eu marshmallow. Always all worked.
Inviato dal mio Galaxy Nexus utilizzando Tapatalk
Gearbest reviews are not good
I know some popular site owners personally and they have all warned me to buy stuff off gearbest because they are often paid to review their devices or are sent free tablets and smartphones in return of positive reviews. Here is one such example.

Hi, do you have any update?
I have the same problem. I've bought the same device in Gearbest and received it one week ago, the seal was broken and the IMEI doesn't exist. I've opened the Paypal dispute and a ticket to Gearbest customer support. I've sent them some pictures of the device, serial number, etc, and I'm still waiting for their reply...
Do they give you a solution?
Other thing, if finally I have to keep my fake device, for sure I will re-flash it, which rom do you recommend? Does the marshmallow one include Spain as a selectable region to apply local settings? (I'm asking because it is not in the current version). Thanks.

I have time until 15/06 about my Paypal contestation... Gearbest answered that they are investigating. For the rom I always used Xiaomi.eu: now I am on latest 7.3.3.0 Marshmallow but I will try v5, v6 always Xiaomi.eu and Aosp various to find a better battery life .
At the end they propose (through a Gearbest ticket) a partial refound, on Gearbest wallet, of $30.

Your best bet is to purchase the Honor 8 UK edition thru vmall.eu (https://www.vmall.eu/uk/honor-8-blue-292297/) which includes a warranty (see specifics here: https://www.vmall.eu/uk/warranty-policy/). If you have any other questions regarding the device and warranty policy, please let us know. (NS)

Buying them Honor devices from Three UK you get the same warranty as if bought online via Vmall.UK.So trust assured you good on all accounts and Vmall will deal with you directly once bought.
Got my partners from three today a d on the phone there is like a customer service portal, typed in the imei and she has a two year warranty

I think 1 year is good enough already... usually after 1 year, manufacturer will stop/slow down upgrade, at that time, you have to rely on developers from XDA or places alike.

i have to agree here, most places will only offer a year anyway as after this they normally have slowed down production and are at that point concentrating on another product.
if its that much of a problem about aftercare i would personally find good insurance for your phone after the year is up @OP
i have insurance on all my electronics so i never pay a thing for breakdowns etc.

I tried to find a Vivo nex in a shop in Belgium, then expanded to Europe... but no luck. Then I saw Ali express mentioned some shops doing pre-order. I contacted a few - I'm always afraid of fake devices when buying from China - and one shop cached my trust. Si that's where I ordered my nex. It should be deliverd in about 30 days. I'm so excited about this device. I will report my experiences once I got it.

I contacted a few - I'm always afraid of fake devices when buying from China - and one shop cached my trust. Si that's where I ordered my nex. It should be deliverd in about 30 days. I'm so excited about this device. I will report my experiences once I got it.

Wow ,it is the moment I found Vivo showing its AD(LOGO) on the World Cup 2018 field that I realized Vivo NEX might be for first time Chinese Android phone actually became a shining superstar in the world.
Finally Chinsese phone manufacturing companiers Vivo and Oppo got Snapdragon flagship chipsets. OMG!!!!
Wish you get the phone soon .
BTW, it is for the first time I realize that living in China can actually be a convenient way to get a certain nice electronic device excluding Xiaomi's .
LOL

Yea, please let us all know how you like it when youve had time to play with it for awhile. I know I wont pick up one for a few months, maybe Christmas time. I am very eager to see what developers start doing for this phone tho, I hope it has a huge following.

I will test my new device for sure. Especially those things that bother me most: is that fingerprint on display efficient? What about apps that use fingerprint for confirmation or login (bank apps, safeincloud,...) Will those still work? Will the device 'feel' the difference between tapping the screen and adding your fingerprint? Will apps need to be updated for this device? What's about that screen vibration that replaces the speaker? And will it still play music without earpeaces? Then what about Google play; will I be able to install my favorite apps and will they run as they do on my other devices? In a way, it's all part of the excitement of expecting an new device...
I prerecorded mine here:
aliexpress.com/item/VIVO-NEX-Screen-Fingerprint-Cellphone-8GB-128GB-Snapdragon-845-Smartphone-Octa-Core-6-59-OLED-Full/32884745578.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.20b14c4dFanTlv
Seems to be a trustworthy vendor. 100% positive rating, responds fast and accurate as far as I can tell.

Thanks for you information, I appreciate it very much. So far it seems the only one I can find short of waiting for JD.com to ship to Canada is liaow.com.
Have you ever ordered from them and I assume by your comments a good experience?
Thanks again
Looking forward to hearing feedback when those of you who have ordered this phone rec
I'm still trying to decide which phone to buy this year, so many have come out or are due to come out. This phone looks interesting, I like the size of the screen, the battery capacity, the rear camera specs and the fact it's an international phone that includes LTE bands for North America. I hope to see some reviews once new owners receive their phones and have a chance to use them. Thanks in advance.

This is what the Mi Mix 2 should've been, what the Lenovo z5 wishes it can be, and what every notch phone needs to be. Lol.
Anyway hate that resellers always jacking up these initial prices. Gotta wait a couple months before I can pick up this bad boy.

I haven't ordered from them, but know they are excellent. In the same respect I know that WondaMobile is also an excellent place to order from, from others who have bought from there.

I ordered the flagship 256gb from your first link. Observing that the seller seems to be responding to questions and from your advice I'll trust him. I'll report back to see what happens.

I'm sure they will provide top quality service. If they have it in stock and you order - you will have receive it within a short period of time. They want the business after all.

I can confirm this seller is a boss. He communicates really fast and guess what! The Oppo Find X that'll be announced in 2 days will be carried by liaow.com and he will allow me to switch my order if I want! He also messaged about switching the language to english and preinstalling the google play store.

Oppo Find X looks beastly too. People are hoping that future OnePlus 6T will be based off it.
Good luck with whichever phone you go with
Also listed on Banggood and CECT-SHOP, but you can't order it. I think it will be available next week.
Yeah for me if will be the Vivo Nex or Oppo Find X. Tuesday we know more about Oppo Find X
Finaly the dream phones are coming.
High-end phone, big flat AMOLED screen, black color, almost no bezels, no ugly notch, dual camera and et cetera.
So all three players that used to provide bootloader unlock codes are providing them again after having no availability for months.
FunkyHuawei (price: $124 ) https://funkyhuawei.club/bootloader
Ministry of Solutions (price: $45) https://ministryofsolutions.com/huawei-bootloader-unlock-service-all-new-models-new-firmwares
Global Unlocking Solutions (price: $45-50) https://global-unlocking-solutions.miiduu.com/bootloader-unlock-codes-choose-model-below
Get them while you can, seems as though availability may drop off at any point.
Anyone had any luck with these yet?

Talking to ministry of solutions now. I was under the understanding that the P20 pro (CLT L04) wasn't easy to do or just not doable. He and global unlocking solutions say they can though.

I'm in the exact same boat. Also with a P20 Pro. Waiting to hear back now.
Any updates I get I'll post here.
Do these guys all work together to submit the requests or how does this work?
Seems like Ministry of Solutions is only accepting "family and friends" payment through paypal. This is a well known tactic for scammers as buyers are unable to reverse the transaction.
Anyone have any past experience with this person?
It seems that these places have some contacts who either work for/contract for or something similar for Huawei, at minimum have access to the algorithm that provides the codes.
The fact that they all seem to come online/available at the same time then go offline/unavailable at the same time indicates that either a previous or new contact is willing to provide codes for money for some period of time.
We can be pretty certain they haven't cracked the algorithm as otherwise why would they ever go offline and why do they all come available at the same time with uncertainty about how long it's available for. We can only assume the contact is willing to sell codes again but eventually gets cold feet or caught leading to uncertainty of how long they will be available for.

Perfect logic. Agreed.
Huawei really needs to pull their finger out.
Perhaps whilst companies are offering the codes it was make logical sense to now ask Huawei if or when they may provide them again? Seeing as there is obvious demand for them.
Or perhaps Huawei are fully aware and is doing this as a test to see if it's a viable demand from their users.
So they allow 1000 unlocks and then they time it, to see how quickly they get consumed. That way they can project if it's something they should return to.
Tbh though those numbers can tell a very different tale Vs reality, kind of like failure rates with software roll outs in companies / firms, they base roll backs based on failure percentages and those thresholds are rarely hit but the problems are obvious and usually widespread. I think it's going to be similar with Huawei and their bootloader policy.
Can't see them going back, hopefully I'm wrong, seem to remember HTC doing the same thing when they blocked the One X. Great phone flawed with bootloader unlocks, eventually they reversed their decision and it hit them hard.
The price from funkyhuawei is a joke. ? I ordered from global unlocking solutions
You don't get even that price when you trade-in your Huawei P20 pro after Huawei ****ed up by Trump, Trade in value is around £50, Lol

Some places around me (Ontario Canada) will still give you about 375$ if they are in mint condition. But that will change soon....unless things change. Although Google has stepped up and said that Huawei would cause a bigger security risk by using their own OS, so who knows. A man can hope lol .
@Nort970 Any idea where I can get a trade in value of $375 in Ontario?
