Ok, so had it unlocked, but running stock. Ran fine, then one day it stopped working and got stuck in a boot loop on the google screen. Managed to get it into CWM and then wiped, after lots of tries, and back to CM7 and unlocked. Then backed it out to stock and locked the bootloader(was planning on giving it to a friend who doesn't like to play with phones like that). But now it gets stuck on the google screen. Can get to fastboot, but if I do fastboot oem unlock it just has "..." and holds for hours(until I manually stop it) and then says it failed too many links. Can't get it unlocked, can't get it to boot into anything usable(either fastboot or the google screen and no further) and I'd really like to turn it back into a tablet for the kids to use since I've moved on. ADB devices shows error device not found but fastboot devices shows the serial number. I just really need to know how to unlock it so I can get it back and running. I think what screwed it up was I flashed it back to the way it came locked bootloader and then it said there was a OTA update, I said ok, downloaded it and when it rebooted it wouldn't go past google screen or past fastboot screen. If I try and do the recovery I get the triangle with exclamation point(yellow) and if I hit the power button a few times it tries to reboot and hangs. And yes, when I do the unlock the screen comes up, I move it to yes, hit power and then it freezes. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Ever Fix This?
Did you ever get this figured out? This is where I'm at after hours and hours to get to this point.
Hi all,
I have a Nexus 5 that I bought second hand. It powers up but is stuck in a bootloop. The Google Logo appears and it starts to load but it does not progress. I can get in to boot loader and I have tried to do a factory reset but it it still stays in the boot loop. I have tried to install the new factory software using the Nexus Root Toolkit but nothing. The Phone is also locked and I cant unlock the phone so the Nexus Root Toolkit wont allow me to try to flash the stock image? I am at the end of my knowledge base as I have tried almost all the normal methods to unbrick and fix the boot loop. The Phone can access the boot loader. When I try to unlock the phone using the Nexus Root Toolkit, it unlocks it but does not write the data and it becomes unresponsive! I have no idea if USB developer is on in settings as I have never got in to the Android operating system as I cant get past the bootloop.
Your help and suggestions would be most helpful as I am now at an end of my abilities until I am further educated about how to resolve the issue.

I haven't tried this myself (no need), but since you seem to have nothing to lose give it a go. It's official Google, and comes with instructions.
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/ota#instructions
Does the fastboot oem unlock command work?
Do you have all the correct usb and adb drivers installed??
First off, I suggest doing some reading up on adb and fastboot. Then manually flash factory images first and try to boot the phone completely.
The links @dahawthorne will help a lot.
Then try the command that @audit13 mentioned.
I unrooted my phone through Magisk Manager to get the Android 10 update, and I guess I missed a step. Because when my phone rebooted, it comes up with the "No Command" screen after showing the unlocked bootloader warning.
I am able to enter the recovery mode and all of those settings, but my phone wont boot normally. It doesn't even show the Motorola "M". If I leave it on for a bit, it will switch between the unlocked bootloader warning and the no command screen. I've already tried a factory reset but that does nothing.
Am I stuck with a broken phone, or is there another hope? I'll do my best to provide more info if needed. Please help!

Hello, what could be the cause of the black screen? I can manage to boot it up to recovery mode(TWRP) but after a few seconds it goes into black screen. Same goes after seeing the samsung logo. I can't seem to boot into odin mode as I tried multiple times it only shows the samsung logo and then boots into samsung logo again. I also tried connecting it into the computer but the device won't show up even though I unlocked the oem. When charging it shows the battery indicator fine. It shows error on the upper left: Custom Binary blocked by frp lock. what can I possibly do to make it work again? Thanks! It's on custom rom: onkiller-os v2.0 final and custom recovery: twrp 3.4.0.
The oem Unlocking gets enabled sometimes if your battery runs out.
try flashing the stock rom again, it can help sometimes. it happened once to me as well. My phone died once bcuz the battery ran out and somehow oem unlocking got reenabled

Hello guys, I bought a used LG V50 Thinq KT 5 months ago and made it as my daily driver. I shot videos for some projects on the phone and I think the problem was because I had a ton of 4K videos on that phone and forgot to delete some of it and the storage probably got full and couldn't handle the background tasks that were mainly running the phone. It began overheating, then frequent freezing of the phone, couldn't even get past the lockscreen because it would just freeze everytime I opened it up. It then just boot-looped everytime I tried to turn on the phone. I actually did the factory reset where you press the power button and volume down button, It went to this factory reset mode and decided to wipe everything. Unfortunately after a couple of seconds it said "Erasing" then it would just boot loop all over again. I researched some tutorials on youtube on how to unbrick phones and want to try to flash a new stock LG V50 ROM. I've downloaded everything and the correct version of the ROM because I can still access the IMEI on my phone. What my problem is now, is that I can't access the bootloader because I haven't turned on the OEM bootloader option on the developer options. I am completely stuck and want to find a way how to turn on the bootloader on this phone without accessing the developer options so that I am able to flash the new stock ROM via LGUP..
any solutions yet ?
Get into download mode by holding vol + and plugging in usb
