What the...
Very strange problem. I can think of couple of things that potentially can make it go crazy near this level but I guess you have not changed any settings into the hidden developer menu?
As for S health - I have rid of this useless (for me) app with command from adb shell so I don`t know what is the normal working state of that app.

No, i haven't done anything in developer menu.
What do you mean saying "I can think of couple of things that potentially can make it go crazy near this level"? Is there anything I can do? And why it says Wi-Fi got 0% active usage and 0% background usage, taking in the same time 13% battery? And how's that 920mAh? That's really weird for me, that's a first time I ever meet that high Wi-Fi battery drain.
And just by the way - why the hell s health wakelocks phone that much time? Comparing to other applications, for example Google Fit, which is almost the same?

Is it still like this?

Yup. Still Wi-Fi takes most battery. That's weird. You don't have such problems?

no,not really, sometime i even forgot to turn off wifi and use 4G instead because my internet went slow, not a big deal though

Did you try to manage it in konserwacja urządzenia/bateria? Check if it is not excluded from hibernation.

What should I include there, Wi-Fi? I don't think it's possible.

Hi,
I have new phone and notice really bad battery drain. Phone can't go for 30h with normal use. J5 old phone with same batter last for 48h without use of battery management. What I do and have good impact is to make mid battery option with no limit CPU, no limit ot background applications and decrease brightness with 10%, this give me almost +5 hours and always on display off.

I have to say that overall performance and battery is very good although I sometimes check conservation settings. You can put app which misbehave to sleep in the background mode. I find that Somsung mail app use quite a bit of battery so I stopped to use it and use Gmail.... Overall we need to monitor app battery usage cause new update of specific app can change it drastically. This is Android so no way to be bored of the phone like in iOS case

I have managed to extract the apk from my phone. I added it to the OP. Check it and let me know if it works.
But are the results any better than stock?
Thanks! working just fine.
it's quite basic, can't control iso and stuff like that, no scenes mode, i tried one night shot, it was actually as sharp as stock camera, but the street lights were way overexposed.
i do think it's a nice one for photo sphere and panoramas though.
I've made mirror to box..
https://app.box.com/s/ey2ckysb0p3dggxw2puf
it is same and no different with the quality
Also I tried with the Photo Sphere, after took for 1 min, it will come hot at the back of the phone and it will lag also
Stock camera is better.

Yeah...stock is way better...
You can't set manually almost nothing.
Only 4:3 - no 16:9 - tnx for sharing that info but I tried it the other day and I don't like it...

I think there is no better camera than stock(maybe the interface, controls and that), but pics will always be better with stock camera

App power consumption not being displayed

Hi all,
This is my first post so sorry if it's the wrong place or just plain stupid.
Under power management, the power consuming apps section displays "currently no apps to report" for both unused apps and consuming apps. Anyone else have this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Normal. That means you have no misbehaving apps consuming an abnormal amount of battery

I forgot to close my SSH client some weeks ago (with an active connection to my home router), and it was reported
Thanks for clearing that up. Only got my phone on Sunday just been trying to work out why the battery is going down quick. Used about 25% since 9 am this morning.

But under battery /screen how much time has the screen been on?
Sent from my Xperia z5 using Tapatalk
Well it's now 15:16 and I'm now on 39% total screen time 2:44.
This is with brightness at lower setting and no wifi only mobile 4g.
I've been using chrome a fair bit and Spotify
But Spotify doesn't seem to actually effect my battery much at all.
How does that compare to others?
Just want to know if it's normal.
Thanks again
Ignore me. It's chrome it's used 43% of my battery.
I guess thats the rma (radio mobile active) bug , try disabling mobile data and use wifi to see if there is a difference in battery drain

We all have the same issue.

The C2DMHandlerThread wakelock

Ah, wakelocks, the eternal scourge of Android.
Seeing few bothersome on my Mate 9 Pro EU (LON-LC432B139), but the "C2DMHandlerThread"-one is always there, chugging away.

Not much info to find on it by Googling. Seems its probably related to chat apps. Anyone else seeing the same on their 9s and 9 Pros?

This is top of the list for me too. Using the same apps I've been using on recent phones. Only getting about 30% deep sleep because of this. Anyone else?
Googling the wakelock it seems its only Huawei devices?
My phone is MHA-L09C185B156
I just googled it :
So what is C2DM ? It is a server push mechanism provided by Google so that 3rd party applications can push messages to their applications on Android devices.
I saw that too, but the phone set up in exactly the same way as many other devices in the last year. So strange the only google results for C2DMHandlerThread that come up are for EMUI/Huawei. Getting rid of Whatsapp didn't work I'll try Telegram now (thought I have all notifications/active service etc turned off for Telegram)

In the past years there was no Android 7 nougat
Sorry i don't know what cause it but seems all push service is eating the battery.
I think sometimes if you enable the option to close apps when screen is off ,can have side effects.
Instead of improving the battery it drain more because lot of services are starting again.
That's true this is my first Nougat experience. Still strange that the only mention online is Huawei related. I'm getting bad standby here even with great signal I thought this might be the cause.
Any way to stop this service without closed?I'm rooted and this is the only wake lock that's driving me nuts
POSSIBLE FIX: Using disable service go to android system and disable "Push service"
not sure what the repercussions are, seems to be fixed.
Edit doesn't work, its a huawei service so ill keep it disabled.
Anyone figure out what was causing this? I've got a huawei P9 B386 with this wakelock chewing battery. Down from 40 hours battery to 12 because of it. Keeps my phone permanently awake.

GUIDE Better battery life on Redmi Note 5 Pro Naptime + Ice Cold Kernel

You will need
Your Phone with an unlocked bootloader and rooted
Magisk https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
a Custom ROM or MIUI I’m using AICP 14.1
Ice Cold Kernel https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/development/kernel-primo-kernel-t3892987
1 Aggressive doze
before we start tweaking settings go to the playstore and download naptime and grant the app root access.
This will force your phone into doze when the screen is off reducing battery drain when the screen is off
set the settings as shown below.

2 Undervolting
According to the excellent Francisco Franco as mentioned in a video by Android Central about rooting.
Undervolting by 25% doesn't have a noticeable impact on performance and is the best way to save battery life at least when he underclocked his oneplus 6t

I wonder is it the same for the Redmi Note 5 pro lets find out
Open kernel auditor or any kernel control app and grant it root access and open the CPU tab.
Under big frequencies the default is 2150mhz . We are going to reduce it by 25 % which is around 500mhz .
Now set the big frequencies to 1747mhz also set the governor to darkutil as this governor will give us a balance of performance and battery life.
Moving on to Little frequencies we are going to undervolt by 25% which is around 460mhz. Change the little frequencies to 1401. However I like to keep things at 1536 for more performance. You could keep it at 1401 if you wanted more battery life. As above set the governor to darkutil.
Ensure that the apply on boot switch is checked at the top and Finally reboot your device. After the reboot you should see a notification informing you your settings have applied on boot. Open kernel auditor and check the cpu tab to ensure the settings are applied as listed above
Conclusion
In my day to day usage I have noticed much better screen on time and battery life and can usually get through a day starting from 6am and ending at around 5:30 at around 70% which is amazing. I’m guessing I've gained an extra 3 hrs of screen on time to the point where I notice a difference if I go back to stock frequencies. Chrome takes a bit longer to load but aside from that everything else is fine.
I ran a few benchmarks and there was a noticeable difference after undervolting compared to the stock frequencies but I reckon its worth it for the better battery life.
You dont undervolt yourself cpu, but underclock. AMD under lock to default value in stock kernel. So all of dot you get is only from naptime.

Thanks for the feedback from memory Ice cold overvolts both big and little cores. Thanks for explaining.
Over or undervoltin mens Goes down or UP with voltage of cpu not frequency. Icecold doesn't have undervoltage feature

Fullscreen on movies.

Is there any solution somehow to extend the screen to the whole size. I mean fullscxrenn for example on netflix.
Some attachments for reference
I am attaching 2 images for the reference of anyone who might stumble across this post

2. Netflix without punchhole -
This will on depend on the movies and if that movie supports 21:9.
YouTube you can 'zoom to fill' with a pinch gesture meaning you still cut down of the video off.
I'm sure these apps will support true 21:9 when it is more common etc.
What @LDMx96 said...
I had also asked this on Motorola forums to confirm it and received the same response.
Basically, the app must support 21:9.
Fullscreen on apps like Netflix and Amazon - Motorola forums
But on Netflix for ex. Roma or Mowgli support 21:9 but are not on the whole screen.

Same for Venom on Amazon Prime. I'm confused, trying to find out the reason and how to utilize the complete screen.
Maybe next system updates or apps updates will fix that.

VLC supports filling the entire screen.
MX Player did not.
If you do not care for the notch at all, you can disable it completely in System -> Developer Options -> Display Cutout -> Hide.

That's neat. Thanks for this.
Although, I'll wait for Motorola and other streaming services to 'fix' this punchhole+streaming issue.
I just realized Netflix it's only sd resolution on Moto One[emoji53]
You can zoom the movie on Netflix like you do on YouTube and it will cover the notch

Any fix about this issue?
Hi, I'm just wondering if someone know how to truly see amazon prime video or netflix in 21:9? I'm still on Android 9 (OPENMX channel) so I don't know if Motorola fixed the issue on Android 10... I uninstalled the apps and installed back again but that doesn't work... ALSO, I saw something funny on Netflix app... If you click on a preview of a movie or a serie on home page IT ACTUALLY USES THE HOLE SCREEN, you will not see a black line on the punch hole area... but of couse that doesn't apply when you are watching a movie and, as of today it keeps getting me triggered. I hope someone can help me with this issue (on streaming apps)... I have vlc player and mx player but in order to a movie you need to have it in your phone's memory but that's another subjetct. Sorry if my english is bad, it's not my native language
