I am also facing the fingerprint bug. It usually doesn't work when the phone has been in deep sleep for a long time and also randomly stops working other times unless I use the power button to turn on the screen.

This is a bug that is going strong since Nougat. The way to circumvent is, sir/ma'am, is to disable pocket detection (settings->display->advanced->pocket detection).

Wow, we now have a RR build for Davinci. Awesome work and thanks so much! Can anybody who has installed it comment on FOD, DT2W etc? I just got Lineage set up exactly how I want it but RR is too much of a temptation.

• Fingerprint working, imo, almost as good as in MIUI
• Security patch from August, build is from 2019.09.01, so, I guess it's normal.

Try to do another install. I've been running this for quite some time and i don't have any problems or bugs with this rom. I've tried most other roms for this device, and RR by far my favorite. (One of the few roms, if not the only one, with android settings animations for each section)
New Sept.28th build! (v8.6.1)
Dirty flash, works great as usual.
Edit: update

Installed 8.6.1, clean install (incl. reformatting data) - CAN'T RECORD VIDEO now. Camera app starts "counting time", 00:00, then disappears. Issuing it again brings black screen until I force-kill it.

This ROM is only for J415XX (j4primelte)

For me without some modifications (ambient display etc) the battery life is good (1 day with simple usage instagram youtube)

Provide logs and etc.. also if you mean the screen recorder from the QS panel.. this is arm64 application and won't work on arm. Use a screenrecorder from playstore

Hi, I flashed this ROM via orange fox recovery and then after reboot there was a message "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" at the top left corner. After that was bootloop with RR logo. My phone is j415fn and bootloader version is u6. Any suggestion to how to flash properly? Thanks.
