Hi, i am not very sure about whether it is Optus branded. You might want to try to email Optus to ask about whether Singtel and Optus firmware are the same. However i found this link from a Singapore Android website.
can we ever root this rom?

No, it is a crap rom. But i am hoping to have a root version of this rom to unroot if necessary.

i seem to can't find a firmware that is specific for my country, i soft bricked my s5
so my question is; will a firmware for the same model as mine but different country work fine on my phone??
or i need one that is exactly as the one that was there before??

Yes u can use a firmware of different country with same model number u have...

No. Devices from different areas have certain differences (for instance, radios, firmwares etc.)
So you need to wait for the official update for your device, once it becomes available for your device, in your region.

Oops. I should have checked that the unlocked US variant is the single SIM variant whereas we have the dual sim variant here in India. Rookie mistake. Thanks for the input though!
You'll find that you'd need to change the cid and mid to use the usa updates

Yeah, I won't change to the US one though. Maybe TW or any Dual-sim variant region with Oreo already

Hi All,
I bought an HTC U11+ with a Chinese software version and China Sense. The Software number is 1.0.0.2Q4D200 build number is 1.24.1405.15 9.0_g CL1010171.
I have followed a guide to get the Google apps to download but I was wondering if there was a way I could just flash a different regions software? If so, which guide should I follow and which RUU is most likely to work?
