[APP][CAMERA] Google Camera 1.3 for G6+ - Moto G6 Plus Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hey!
During last few weeks I've tested more than 20 different versions of modded Google Camera.
I'm sharing the version which is the best in overall as a non-stock Camera app for G6+ (I'm using european variant - XT1926-3).
What is working:
Night Sight (comparison to Moto Camera below)
Panorama
Portrait
Camera (standard mode)
Video (4K, 1080p, 720p)
Photo Sphere
Photobooth
Lens
Slow Motion
Bugs:
You tell me!
DOWNLOAD Google Camera 1.3 for Moto G6 Plus: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1TzuNPCXoxsi0dRHa8FQLlNm19WMkmKja
Comparison 1: CLICK
Comparison 2: CLICK
Comparison 3: CLICK

It works really really, thank you! It hurts that slow motion and zoom does not work well ... then everything is great, especially night mode[emoji106][emoji106]

How is your experience with Android 9.0, still working without any problems?

Any update?

Works like a charm in Android 9, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Now i'm using this: https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/gcamera/MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V2e.apk
Works too much better than the suggested here.

Nice! Thaks for sharing! Working fine on Pie.
Which options do you see working better? Are you using default settings?
I have just installed, and despite al developer options, I can't see any improvements (yet!).

Every Google Camera 6 I've tried had the same problems in my G6+:
- Every version's video recording doesn't work well at 60fps (tested the frames with MediaInfo, gets average of 10~20 fps for some reason), 30fps works stable. Moto cam outputs 60fps perfectly.
- Slow Motion crashing in some versions but it was fixed changing "240FPS" to "120FPS" because I think this phone can't output 240
- Night pictures (without using night mode) look weird, the GCAM tries to light it up too much and it ends up looking bad and reddish. Night mode pics look better but again makes the pic like it's day and not night. Default cam at night has less detail but pictures don't look bad, I guess this is a matter of preference. It's probably the phone and I know night pictures look better in other phones but I have zero knowledge of photography to play with the options.
Also tried the last Google Camera 5 version and the video recording at 60fps works properly, no night mode though.
Still, Gcam pics have more detail and look (generally) better than the default Moto cam pics so I will keep testing if I have time.
Right now I have these versions installed that "work":
From celsoazevedo's site:
Google Camera 6
- MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V2e
- MGC_6.1.021_Potter_v7.1_san1ty
- Version that OP posted. Haven't had much time to test but it still has the 60fps problem and doesn't come with the extended developer options.
Google Camera 5
- Arnova's v7beta9
Would also like to know if you have these problems too.

Why GCaM, forgot to include SD support ?? Even the stock Moto Camera have built it...

What is missing in current version? What's your need?

Camera normal não funciona!
Olá amigo. Acabei de baixar e instalar o app e quando vou fotografar da erro e fecha o app. As outras funções funcionam muito bem.

Is "portrait" mode here meant to provide bokeh? I can't see any difference between that and the normal camera mode. Also, I think my original camera app on the G6+ had a slider to change the bokeh intensity. I can't seem to find that here?
AFAICT portrait just zooms in a bit more, but both seem to use the same camera on the back.

Hi to everyone.
To tell you that this version: https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/MGC_6.2.030_RN7_V1a_FINAL.apk works great on my G6 Pie stock with security patch on May 1st.
Every option works 100% (again, on my XT1926-6). So, test on your phone and tell us, this is a mod from BSG for Redmi Note 7. Enjoy!

[APP][FEEDBACK] Arnova8G2's Google Camera Port

I think I got some problem on ASUS Zenfone 3 (ZE520KL/ZE552KL). I can't select Resolution more than 9.4 MP (rear camera)
But Front camera is working well.
I attached logcat , Camera2Test and Resolution Select Screenshot. @Arnova8G2
That's normal. The camera mod is from pixel devices which don't have 16mo sensors. Therefore 16mp won't work in camera ports too
Best pixel camera port, I use for since version 5. It's a major go!
Working great on my Oreo ZE552KL, just the AR stickers feature it's broken.
Only 9.4 mp max resolution, what can be done to solve this?
The hdr+ doesn't work on the arnova version though works on the BCG version. The app will often crash when a scene is dark or more than two pictures are clicked.
These observations are off the stock and custom roms both on Oreo. @Arnova8G2 I'VE attached the logs
Here is a test version with the possibility to select the Support level override
that will hang the HDR + with your device

weirdly enough still doesn't work with a few combinations Tried the combinations that used to work on my gemini(mi5).Thanks for your efforts @Arnova8G2. let me know if alog is required.
It would be nice if Google Camera HDR+ would work at full resolution with ze520kl & ze552kl.
Add more features
Any way to add Fingerprint selfie on Gcam mod
[ask]
what the best version for now ? there update ? waiting for night mode
Do you have OIS at Gcam?
ZenFone 3 Android 8 whit GCam
I can not run any of the recommended GCams from version 6. I tested all suggested apks in an attempt to get the latest stable version for ZenFone 3. The version that is steadily running for this model is: "GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod -Arnova8G2-V7beta-test-9.apk "
Slow motion is not working my zenfone 3 Z017db
And not only 9mp cam resolution
what's the best version for now ?
Having ZS570KL here. Problem with Autofocus. Currently available to be use software Pxiel2Mod V7 Beta 9. Suspecting Gcam not using Laser AF that cause this issue.

Moto Camera Port (beta)

I've ported the Camera App from Motorola. It's just a quick bodge, but it seems to work quite well.
Works:
taking photos
taking burst shots
taking videos
taking slow-mo
Untested (but not crashing the app):
taking panoramas
taking time-lapses
OCR
Not working:
AR stickers (redirecting to Google Lens in play store, even if it's installed)
Cinemagramm (crashing due to missing libs, probably because Moto stock roms are always 32bit)
Have fun!

I'm guessing that this lag is specific to the app, as it also lags on original Moto devices^^ it's just the preview, but I'll see if I can raise the fps limit..

Can you port the latest version of moto cam 2, it would be awesome
Works quite well for me, it and it takes slighty better pictures than the stock camera. Photos are a little less overprocessed. The only small problem I noticed is that the wide angle option (which obviously doesn't do anything) is overlapping with the timer. Thanks!

Gcam for Realms 5

This post is created to share the experience of using Gcam Mod on Realme 5. Mostly the versions of BSG for Mi8 or Poco F1 are also supported on our device, which is a good news. I have tried many of them and found that the version linked https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-80wps_h1Zg_e1ar7O3B3gu0xY_FMp2S/view?usp=drivesdk is working best for me.Almost everything is working. Kindly also share some samples in the link https://photos.app.goo.gl/qbk8cws4MbHL3SSi9 for others.
PS: - I have uploaded 4 photos 2 with phone camera 2 with Gcam mod using night sight and the difference is obvious as seen in the photos
Thanks man...
Nice thread..
I''ll download it
thank you sir
Gcam 7.2
Any new mod properly working on realme 5,plz let me know. Thanks
What doesn't work ( At least for me ) :
You cant use wide agle and macro lense.
60 fps video recording ( Refords 30 fps ).
Thaks for sharing this! HDR+ works wonderful!
Portrait mode Edge detection is horrible sometimes.
I wish 60 fps video recording would be supported.
Does anyone know a video recorder app that can record 60 fps on realme 5?

Hardware is not the same, I was under the same perception in A5 2020 and A9 2020
Even in A5 2020, there are two different suppliers of sensors depending upon region. Lower end version (CPH-1933) use 12MP sensor from Omnivision and higher end use Sony or Samsung (I don't remember exactly, but the exact sensor models are listed in a system xml file) 12MP sensor. (Sony IMX 386 I think while 2MP sensors are samsung's)
Working great https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/GCam_6.2.030_N7P_test1.3a.apk
Is there a Google camera module for Realme 5?
7.3 partially working
installed and tested the MGC_7.3.020_RPII_v0f
- features working:
* taking photos in max resolution
* night mode
* videos in 30 or 60 fps
* portrait mode
- features not working:
* Shortcut to play videos does not work, playing from DCIM is totally fine though
* Slow motion does not respond and saves glitchy footage
* does not use the other lenses
So, that was my experience on that version
Hello all,
Is there a gcam mod for the Realme 5 after the Android 10/Realme UI update?
Thanks.
Hi, can this be used for the Realme 5i as well?

GCAM - Google Camera Mod

Has anyone tried using GCam on the Poco M3?
I didn't find any version with video working yet, however Wichaya's port (based on Urnyx05) seems to work for everything else, as long as you force-enable Google AWB.
Wichaya GCam APKs - Google Camera Port
Modified Google Camera app by Wichaya.
www.celsoazevedo.com
As a small update, I find Nikita's port a bit more stable for this device.
The video preview even works, but still unusable (result video is sped up, whatever the fps you set up). Same thing for night shots.
Like Wichaya's version, you need to turn on Google AWB if you don't want a completely green photo.
Nikita GCam APKs - Google Camera Port

Wichaya's Port kinda works. but it is still laggy.
I hope some developer can develop a much better port for Poco M3
Did you already tried the latest cstark27's gcam mod? And can you try the older P3v12.6_GoogleCamera_6.2.030 version? It's the best mod for my current device (Zenfone 4 with IMX362 sensor).
Also, I will be glad if you can tell me the camera sensors name that Poco M3 has. You can discover it using the app Device Info HW. Thank you!

The latest one (7.4 v2.0)
Wichaya's GCam Go is a fully working port on the M3, even video and night mode work.
Wichaya: Camera_Go_1.8.3_Wichaya.apk
Download Camera_Go_1.8.3_Wichaya.apk by Wichaya.

Nikita: NGCam_7.4.104-v2.0

Curious to see if a suitable config file will pop up for our m3 any time soon.

However video does not work on this version for me, only the Camera Go one works.
As usual some weird things happens on MIUI devices, probably depending on global/EU...
Video works perfect for me. If you has change something on the configuration, back the original config.

Themes / Apps / Mods GCam for X3 Pro

Hi,
For those with the POCO X3 Pro, what is the best GCam that is currently available to use - most stable, with better quality, etc....
I have tested some GCams from X3 NFC, but is a shot in the dark - some work, but i think is room to improve in the quality (could be some settings/configs too).
Maybe someone here found a specific one that works better
EDIT: This is my opinion after a few months: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam-for-x3-pro.4256287/page-12#post-86486777
I also hope to have a good GCam soon. While Stock Cam seems good for video, I'm not happy with the photo quality: there seem to be some aggressive "beautify" settings and filters I could not deactivate yet. At least with my Redmi Note 7 on crDroid and GCam 7.4 I'm able to make much more satisfying photos.

The main camera is good, but of course GCam is always better
I have tested some Gcam versions and they seem to work - most only for photos and there still tweaks to be done... For vídeo yeah, don't use GCam at all.
But maybe someone found a config/version that works best
Since X3 Pro has the IMX582 main sensor I looked which other devices (from Xiaomi) have the same - see on deviceranks.com:
POCO M3 - xda GCam thread (Nikita 7.4.104 and Wichaya 1.8.3 mod dicussed)
XIAOMI MI 9T / XIAOMI REDMI K20 - xda GCam thread (URNYX) - GCam MIUI thread (Urnyx, Parrot with config hidynamic v12)
XIAOMI REDMI K40
Will try later.
I'm trying this:

Is even possible activate the extra sensors in the "Advance" setting. We can use the deph sensor, macro, wide and (of course) main sensor
Nice. I installed NGCam_7.4.104-v2.0_cam.apk (com.ngcam.camera) which should allow to try other GCams alongside. Here is the Nikita folder @ celsoazevedo - he already works on the 8.1 version.
The 7.4.104 version so far seems to work fine also for me. Unfortunately in the Config directory I could not find any model with the same main sensor, as I would expect some optimization might be possible.
I plan to compare to the Redmi Note 7 GCam pictures in the same conditions to have a comparison. I was strongly hoping the 48 MP IMX582 Exmor RS would provide at least the same experience as the 48 MP ISOCELL GM1 in the RN7, at least deviceranks.com lists it slightly better (#32 vs. #39). So far I'm not sure but still hope the combination with the powerful CPU allows a good experience. With my RN7 beside Night Pictures I'm pretty happy.

BSG: MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix
Download MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix by BSG.
www.celsoazevedo.com
In the Telegram Poco X3 Photography group
a) member Park Q claims Marco's 7.3_GCam_MJL_v4.3_Minilux.apk (2020-08-31, oneplus 6/6t) is optimized for 582 and 586 sensor. He has also posted two configuration XML files (Flat & Zoom)
b) member Team XKlaus claims MGC_8.1.101_A9 (BSG, 2021-03/04) allows 4k @ 60fps
Searching for "IMX582 celsoazevedo" I found the following:
UltraCVM_v4.apk (UltraM8, 2020-05-10, configs)
UltraCam_3.2.3.apk (UltraM8, 2020-02-19, configs)
UltraM8 bases off Urnyx05 or Arnova8G2 versions with additions and tunings ... with main focus on the IMX586 sensor (primary device Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro).
In Config Files for burial's GCam 7.2.x there is Xiaomi Mi A3 » mi-a3-x.j.b.-ver.1.xml which contains the string: Main Sensor: IMX582 (same as IMX586 without 4K and Stab
(Xiaomi Mi A3 has Sony IMX586 Exmor RS)
I need to look into this but share so we may find some basic optimization based on existing IMX582(586) configs what GCams might be good.
Just to clarify my focus:
a) good natural daylight main cam pictures (no oversharpening, no oversaturation, etc.)
b) 1080p 24fps EIS ExtraSmooth (Steady) Videos (no refocus, no pumping, no artefacts) possibly with UltraWide for less crop
c) Special Features like 1) Time Lapse 2) Slow motion 3) Night etc.
d) 4k 24fps EIS as good as possible like 1080p
I made a GSheet comparison: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...kpsmnix1jUWCr2SMdPl_wprc8/edit#gid=1775206814

You can use the 3 sensors, but only found in settings the main one havng specifc support.
I'm not sure what's the benefit though...
As I said, I'm a kind of newbie here So I tried to configure things to what made sense to me, like enabling pixel bining, but some might prefer to disable it to have pics with better definition...
Happy to hear feedback and suggestions, if we get a good xml file we could post it on Nikita folder @ celsoazevedo
In the Telegram Poco X3 Photography group there are a lot of XML files now mainly for
MGC by BSG (preferred by most it seems)
NGCam by Nikita
User P.A. likes CamStellar
Another user (can't find the post) stated Arnova is working on X3P optimization.
Preview of pics might only work after you change gallery settings in options.
Member Park Q, Suresh Dreamer and others stated that the basic color balance / white balance setup in the Xiaomi Firmware is bad and can not be fixed with GCam+XML or even with RAW. I also noticed a slight magenta shift/tint in pics (less in videos), which seems less "natural" then on my other smartphone cams. So with vidoes I'm happy, with Pics I have not found yet a "natural" outcome.
I have this version: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1500/
It is optimized for IMX582 sensor: Everything works perfectly. The best config is: (damm10-best-mi-9t-v4.xml)
You can find it under the link to Xiaomi Mi 9T / Redmi K20, which have the same sensor as Poco X3 Pro.

According to guys on Telegram, this is not on par with other ports.
NGCAM is still seen as best overall (especially in low light), MGC being a bit more natural in colors in good light conditions.
If some people are not on Telegram and want to get the XML files for NGCAM and MGC, they can be shared here too.

I tried different versions, including NGcam, and in each of them something didn't work and the application crashed. I'm really happy with this version, because it works without any problems and is very stable, including video. There are not unnecessarily many settings as in the new versions, which the average person does not understand anyway and was directly optimized for Redmi K 20 (40) and Mi 9T, which have the same sensor as Poco. Night mode also works great and the quality of the photos is much better than with stock cam. Just a minor edit: After trying different settings, I think, the most universal config I have the best experience with under different conditions, is this: AIO-Mevcetin-Urnyx05.xml
If someone wants to have the latest version, it's ok, but unfortunately at the cost of lower stability.

No issue if you prefer that build of course, was just trying to brdige discussions between Telegram and XDA
One clarification as well, I've not seen anyone trying to race for latest version, all comments are around functionalities and picture qualitiy.
Btw, MGC now has new XML with EIS enabled.
I like the "steady video" function in the Stock Cam v4.3 because it is very smooth even if with substantial crop.
GCam MGC 8.1.101 lets select from four video stabilisation modes: Standard, Locked (2xZoom), Active, Cinematic Pan (1/2 Speed muted) but none seems similar to Stock steady.
So I am seeking for a GCam which has similar smooth steady EIS as Stock.
For Photography because the lack of serious and comprehensive comparisons I'm still undecided what I prefer: Stock. MGC or another GCam. MGC at least seems to be the more "natural". NGC (haven't tried myself) seems to be better in low light but does color boost/saturation.

That's the GCam version I prefer to use anyway, thanks for the update. I would like to try out the XML, but it's not available on the MGC's download page.
