I currently have drl5 installed from the closed beta. How do I update to the latest beta? Is there a guide somewhere? I googled it but I only found guides on installing the closed beta, which I currently have. Thanks. I have an s8+ snapdragon on Sprint.

Flash update.zip (beta 1), then flash second zip (beta 2). That's all.

his write up was incorrect for a sprint phone. you need to flash back to crl1 and then run the update to drl7. his was linking to an exynos phone. would cause pretty serious issues. i with there was an update for drl7 at this poing. been over a month and no new version.
How to update my s8+ snapdragon (sm-g955u) beta 1 to beta 2 .??? I currently have drl5.

you will need to flash back to crl1 or potentially crk1. once your at crl1 then you can update to drl7. there is no update from drl5 to drl7.

Hello ..... I have the same situation, snapdragon S8+ Tmobile and I'm currently on beta 1 DRL5, I know that I have to flash back to CRL1 or CRK1 but I don't know how, can you help me?? Link or tutorial please??
Thanks a lot in advance!!
Same issue. I can't for the life of me figure out how to go from DRL7 to the official Pie update. I feel like I'm screwed. I updated with an update.zip on my SD card because Odin wouldn't work. I tried to virtualize Windows 7 but that didn't work. I can find a Windows 7 computer to try it out on again, but I feel like it'll just fail.

Hi,
Today my i9505 (stock) notified of an update available for download (392.94 mb OTA)
Would updating make my S4 difficult to flash? currently on I9505XXUHOJ2 could not find any information on what's new/changed in the update.
Also is the OTA update ok or do I need to update using the Odin method as the below linked site suggests & so do most of the past firmware update posts on xda?
Smart Switch says the file size is 1458 mb
I dont mind following either way to update my S4.
Ref: samsung-firmware.org
Thanks!
oh boy, it is still 5.0.1
not shure if I go to try this, the last one has a bug on my phone, don´t know, it was maybe the settings and back button bug.
but also 5.0.1 is maybe to outdated?

Anyway, I have downgraded my stock rom to Jelly Beam (via sammobile.com). After this, I can easily handled the root and the custom rom install processes (resurrection remix).
Spotted this on the Samsung fota cloud test server. It's version CQLJ which means it's not a beta version.
new fw is BRA+0-9/A-F (when build in 2018)

Yes, for sure, I forgot about 7.1
Major OS 7.0 for S8 - A, 7.1 - B (skip for S8), 8.0 - C
R - 2018 year
A - January
0-9/A-F - build number
Knowing samsung if its released to some european country today it'll hit america in around a month, and canada in 2 months, then a month later the s9 is released... thanks samsung.
I wish Samsung would fix their update scheme. There is Android Fragmentation, then there is Android Samsung Fragmentation. Why is the Galaxy Tab A 2016 getting the January security update and my unlocked S8 is on November...
Also the latest Oreo Beta is on December, I know security updates are only small but as has been seen on the January update with the Pixels they can cause issues, so I would be sceptical to an Oreo release even being up to date.
Samsung needs to stop carriers turning their phones into bloated messes. My phone, before I debranded, came with 17 applications installed by the carrier, none of which I have any use for or have used!
It really isn't that hard to get this right, and it's what we are all asking for! Simplification and transparency, not waiting and waiting and waiting! Some customers with Note 8's in the UK are still on August Security Patch. That's what £800 gets you, negligence.

I just downloaded it from here (Snapdragon only!) : https://samsung.firmware.science/download?url=48927/1488/SS-G950USQS2BQL1-to-U2CRA1-UP
Boot into recovery and install update.zip.

Do you know if the version.xml (not version.test.XML) update in real-time? Thats mean, would I be able to see a new firmware when Samsung pushes a new update to my device?
I see they have jumped back to CRAB version from CRAL in the test server. Wonder if that is in prep for the release to beta testers.

Problemm with Nokia 3 Oreo beta OTA
I tried to upgrade to Android 8.0 via TWPR (Nokia 3 Oreo beta OTA).
The phone will not start any more. The screen is black. From time to time the phone vibrates briefly.*I took off the back cover and turned off the battery.
*I turn on, connect to the computer (in the hope of returning the phone to life using OST), but OST does not recognize the phone -it turns on and off again, and so on in a circle. The computer gives a signal to connect the USB device and to disconnect it. Is it still possible to return the bodies to life? What can be done? Thank you

Yes it is but you have to make sure that you stay on BL3. You can't downgrade the BL. He used a thread with the latest Nougat Odin files.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/at...n950u-stock-n950usqs3brb2-odin-files-t3761567
Once back on Nougat, download BK package disabler and freeze both software updates (just use the search feature and type in updates) so that it don't auto update on you.

You have version 1, version 2 and version 3. If your on oreo then you are on version 3. Search which firmware version 3 runs on and you'll get your answer, or you can use the link i gave you to the last Nougat version 3 that was pushed out by AT&T. I think there were only 2 firmwares on Nougat that ran on version 3.

FWIW, I have a T-Mobile S22 Ultra that I fully flashed to the US Unlocked version (XAA) & the Samsung Members app still recognizes it as a T-Mobile device.
As I mentioned in another thread, I am on the One UI 5 Beta, so, I can guess that the T-Mobile &/or US Unlocked versions are currently open to the Beta & AT&T isn't (as of August 7,2022).
Did you end up manually flashing the Beta via ADB?
