Hey there. Anyone using ps2 or GameCube Emulators on the Mix 2s? How well so they run?
Haven't used PS2 emulators, but dolphin (gamecube and wii) runs perfectly. Played resident evil 4 at constant 30 fps with no framedrops whatsoever ???
It appears that ps2 Emulators on Android aren't a thing yet anyway.
But glad to hear that dolphin runs well.

Hello all,
First off, I'd like to introduce myself. I've been around the Droid Eris forums for a better part of the year, and I think I will be spending some around this forum as I am hopefully getting a G Tablet for Christmas. This brings me to my question. Has anybody used the emulators on the G Tablet yet? Gameboid SNESoid etc. How do they work?
Thanks and looking forward to working with you guys,
MuerteMan
I've used the Atari 2600 and Amiga emulators, and both worked fine.
All work great (I use them all).
Best IMO are TigerMAME (Plays CPS1, CPS2 and all NeoGeo games) and PSx4Droid.
PSX4Droid even plays 3D games like Dead or Alive and NBA Live 2001 smoothly Sound could be a lot better though.
As warned others: PSX4Droid version 1.7 in the market is awful. Best versions for speed and accurate graphics are 1.5 and 1.6.
PSX4Droid plays FAR better on the Gtablet than the 101, since 101 uses 3630.
Sweet, I am more and more excited about this tablet as I gather more information. Thanks for the quick responses guys.
Also if you can get the right ROM installed you can pair up a Wiimote to make it even better.
Simple as is, are there any emulators for the Charge? I'd assume with these specs we would at the very least be seeing a flawless NES emulator, SNES might be possible and N64 just doesn't seem doable. Let me know if you could do it and if so, how. Thanks!
Theres emulators for everything, NES, SNES, Genesis, GBA, N64, PSX, and even NDS. Good luck finding them though since Google took them off the Market a while back. Go check out the Slide-Me Market, thats where they reside now. nesoid, snesoid, gensoid, n64oid, etc
Incredible! I honestly would not expect a phone like this to run N64 so well, my PSP can't run it that well haha, aside from the insane lag it gets when you attempt to press home and task kill it, it's pretty dam good.
SNES and NES are also impressive but not nearly as much as n64, and none of them require root access? WOW! Thanks a lot for the help!
Mojo gba lite works well. Has onscreen controls. Still in market last I. Checked

I've heard retroarch is very good with cartridge based games. In terms of playing GBA, SNES and Genesis titles is retroarch the ideal choice (including camelot GBA games, which i've had poor experiences in the past playing on my psp). also is psx emulation close to as good as what is available on the PSP?
I checked the reicast compatability thread and found a few titles weren't listed. They are:
-record of lodoss
-floigan brothers
-fur fighters
-tee off golf 2
has anyone tested these four games. also i saw a large amount of feedback with shenmue. whats the latest on how it handles with the current build. Thanks

I can't speak for all the emulators but for snes I use snes9x, it was also an emulator on the psp. The ps1 emulation is working great, just as good as the psp if not better. all I've played is ff7 and It works perfectly.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.

Any framerate issues on a game like Super Mario RPG (one of the SNES games with a separate graphic chip).

Alot of that depends on the ROM you load, but testing on mine went smooth as silk.

I will have my portable shield in half a month so I'm preparing stuff... I wanted to know which are the best emulators for this device. I will mainly use it for this thing. From NES to whatever more I can. And one more question, I know that you can stream a game from PC to the Shield. Is it possible to stream a video?
Noone huh?
Retroarch has a ton of emulators built in from nes to psx, Reicast is a dreamcast emulator (the older version from the play store lags less), Robert Broglias emus from play store used to work great but since the latest shield update they lag, so stick with Retroarch unless you want to root and then change your cpu governor. Mupen64plus AE and n64oid are good n64 emulators but n64oid is outdated. DraStic is the best DS emulator. FPSE and ePSXE are good psx emulators but the one in Retroarch is better. PPSSPP is a good psp emu just make sure you download a nightly build.

So I'm just getting into emulators, and want to download some classic PSP games to play. It's been so long since I've had my PSP, I don't remember all the good games. So far I got Socom: Fireteam Bravo, Ratchet and Clank : Size Matters, Killzone Liberation, and Resistance Retribution. What are some of your favorites?
And just a heads up- I'm using the Moga Pro Power controller and it works unbelievably well with emulators, especially PPSSPP which is what I'm using for PSP emulation. Having your phone snapped into the controller turns it into a portable game console that is super convenient to use. I highly recommend that controller.
Also, please don't discuss or ask where to download the game ROMs from. Let's keep this convo specifically about the games themselves.

I have these but i mostly play Hotshot golf or Gundam snk
Final fantasy Crisis Core and Dissidia 012
Sent from my Nexus 5
Colin mcrea 2005 but bad there is some glitches
Crisis Core! I forgot about that! Some of these games are pretty glitchy. Socom worked fine at first but when I played it again it was all choppy. Dantes Inferno is unplayable, so is Killzone. So far the only game that works close to perfect is Freekscape. Are you guys having issues too?
